**Introduce Yourself to Your Course Mates**

In this introduction forum, you’ll share your story with your classmates. But which story? One way I like to approach introductions is to think about the context - in this case, an online class in speaking English for professional success.
What is your experience with speaking English, with work?
How do you think this class will build on or develop that experience?
How do you think the class will help you to achieve short and long term goals - In other words, How will it help you succeed now and in the future?
I encourage you to add other information as well, something about your strongest personal interests and your background. What would you most like us to know about you?
How should you organize your introduction? First - Start with your name and something important about yourself to draw your classmates in. Write directly, get straight to the point and catch your classmates’ attention. Choose just a few facts about yourself that link you to this class and to your classmates. Use active verbs to describe yourself. Finally, finish with a strong conclusion. Reach out to classmates you’d like to meet and get to know better. Remember that the information you share will be the start of a rewarding and meaningful exchange with other students and expand your professional network. It’s always a challenge to begin but easy once you get started. We all look forward to meeting you soon!
