I use this with almond flour and it's really good. It also doesn't spike my glucose which is really important to me. I make corn dog batter using this and they're really REALLY good!
i have been with you your whole journey on kito and i have to say .way to go girl!!! you look amazing! i started off at 310 and now 223 goal weight is 190 almost there. thanks for being a inspiration keeping me hopefull and on track..
I have made this recipe a few times, my husband and I love them. We cut them horizontally and just a we bit of soft butter. My second batch fell, cause I had a headache and messed up the time, so I learned better to leave in a couple extra minutes then take the out too soon.
Just made these today for breakfast topped with sausage gravy. My husband loved them. They looked just like the picture .I added a bit of butter extract to batter. Thanks for your time to set it up
I tried your recipe today, and it was very good. I added garlic seasoning and parsley. I does taste buttery. Reminds me of Red Lobster biscuits. Next time I'm going to add some cheddar cheese. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. ❤❤
I just tried a keto pasta recipe with lupin flour tonight right before I watched this! 1/2 c lupin flour and 1 large egg. Would be really great in chicken noodle soup or tuna casserole!
@@charitysbizarre4365 I have been wondering about making pasta, been using Zoodles which is fine as we like it but noodles as a side would be a nice change. Thanks for sharing
I tried this recipe tonight and it was okay. I think next time I’ll double the sweetener to make it more like Texas Roadhouse rolls and maybe add cinnamon or just add other seasonings to make it more savory. This would be good with cheese and bacon crumbles too.
I bought this flour 2 months ago and then read that is was a bitter flour so I didn't bother with it. I am so happy that you decided to make something with it and you all said that it was good. So tomorrow I am making these biscuits, thank you.
I'm really so glad I found you. There are days I think I just can't do this anymore and then there you are too prove to me, yes I can. So, really, thanks.
After watching video I ordered the flour. Today I made the biscuits. First, have to say, the smell 🤨 but I gave it a chance. Like people are saying,”Game changer!” Thank you for sharing!!
I baked them this morning! Oh my gosh they are delicious! Ha the recipe reported 88 mg carbohydrate. Total carb per roll ~4 grams. I don’t count net carbs but if you do net carb it is less than 1 carb per roll. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing. I would recommend getting a silicone muffing pan. I didn’t have one but sprayed my pan as I always do, but the biscuits stuck. I ordered one right away as I will make these often!
Made these today!! I loved them, next batch leaving out the sweetener, I can taste it and i didn't really feel it's necessary. The texture is wonderful.
I would love to know what your glucose meter says and how it affects your readings. Thanks! Love your videos! Great wishes to you & your dad on the new challenge!
It's too bad you can't add a photo. I made them but based on a few commemts I altered a few things. I used the swerve brown sugar in the batter. 2 tablespoons. I didnt have sourcream so used cream cheese. On the top of each biscuit I added the swerve brown sugar (about a teaspoon spread between the 6 muffins) and then the cold butter. The top came out with hardened sugar butter coating which is delicious. Side note is that I don't do well with corn and have really missed corn bread. I dont know why but they came out like corn bread. I filled 6 paper muffin holders so they were high rather than wide. All and all very nice flavor and did make me feel like I was eating somewhere between a biscuit and a muffin.
Lupin flour won't raise your blood sugar. I'm diabetic, so I keep track. It's much lower in carbs than coconut flour, and tastes like wheat flour in recipes.
Came across Lupin flour in my local shop (in Australia) decided to give it a try, now I use it all the time, especially when I make Yorkshire pudding. All other Yorkshire pudding recipes were not nice at all but the lupin flour makes great ones! Looking forward to trying your biscuit recipe.
It would be great if you could share your recipe for Yorkshire pudding, putting is my favorite I will try and look it up and see how you make it unless you have a special recipe
Just FYI from a nutritionist: Lupin flour is high in arginine amino acid which can bring out cold sores for those prone to them. Also, as a legume, it can cause cross- reactivity in people with peanut allergy.
You beat me to it.. it is on the EHO allergen list that all food outlets must adhere to and advertise in the U.K. It’s a rare allergy but extremely serious
Glad I ran across this! I just made a flatbread from lupin flour yesterday. Like you, I was a little reluctant to try it but it turned out to be very good, especially with a smear of hummus on top. My recipe called for Za’atar seasoning sprinkled on top before baking giving it a Middle Eastern vibe but you could use most any spices you like.
OMGoodness...I've been looking for something other than almond flour. Almond flour is very grainy and coconut flour is too absorbent. I'm excited to try this. Thank you!
Hello again - update - I divided my batter in half, made biscuits with one half, then spread out the other in a bread loaf pan real thin, cooked for 15 min till golden brown on top. Then topped it with pizza sauce, italian seasoning, onion powder, fresh ground pepper, cheese, and pepperonies!!! YUM - great lunch - turned out great
I've been using MIracle Flour brand to make chips and they are awesome! I met Nancy Childress at Low Carb Houston and she encouraged me to try it. However, when I used it to make these rolls we just can't get past the bitterness. Very bitter! Same flour! I don't know if it's not a high enough temp to cook out the bitterness or if we are just more sensitive to it. Also I bought the ground lupin from Costco, which is more coarse, and we use it as a starch substitute, sort of like mashed potatoes. Not bitter. Thinking about getting a flour mill and grinding it finer. Any tips on the bitterness? Is the Lupina less bitter?
Your mom is so cute!. Buttery like pilsbury. LOL I grew up on pilsbury so if it tastes like that I am sold! My husband has complained of being tired of almond and coconut baked goods. Been desperately looking for an alternative. Thanks so much for the video.Gonna give it a try and I hope I get a bunch of satisfied customers like you had.
After watching this video last week I ordered some lupin flour online. It arrived yesterday and I made this recipe. What a hit! We have a friend who can't eat grain, hence no bread, and he loved them so much I gave him a bag of the flour. I already have a request to make more tonight to use for slider rolls.

I have used lupin flour for other simple doughs, but have been looking for a biscuit recipe. I experimented with what I had tonight before I found your recipe and made a truly hideous concoction. Texture was perfect biscuit texture, but the flavor came out very bitter! I can see that the cream, eggs, and sour cream in this recipe would likely counter that bitterness.
