  • Learn how to draw mechanism arrows correctly by mastering the foundations behind their use. Three quarters of organic chemistry is studying reaction mechanisms. If you understand how "curly" arrows are used to communicate information about bond breakage and formation, you can apply those fundamental concepts to every reaction mechanism you encounter. You'll be drawing a lot of mechanisms in O Chem, so you might as well start practicing now!

Thanks for watching! Now that you've watched. Where should arrows always start from?

Hi Lazaras. Thanks for watching! In the coming weeks I will be making videos on pi systems and aromatic compounds and I would be happy to make a video on unexpected dipole moments in aromatics. I will let you know when I post it!

I am building new content all the time with the aim of keeping the videos short. Let me know if there is something you’re looking for! Thanks!

@@aboutbiochemistry3983 Check out my series of videos on resonance on my channel. Those show how charge circulates throughout an organic molecule and how to use arrows to show how electrons move. Those should help!
