Bonus point for anyone who recognises the southern England river and town backdrop in the opening scene. One clue - that is the sea in the far distance though the sky was very murky when the footage was taken.
Hi Shahid. We have this data in TROVE but no plans for a video unless there is something of interest for our subscribers. Is there a specific reason for your interest?
Is it possible that when the initial reserves of 200 + billion barrels was estimated, that not all reserves had been discovered and added to the total because theres literally an ocean of oil under SA ??
Without access to data it is impossible to verify Saudi reserves numbers John. There is probably a lot of potential left in Saudi Arabia and Aramco is starting to exploit the unconventional (shale plays) in the country. I hope they publish the technical results of this work. The planet needs to know how much oil is yet to be produced in Saudi for security of supply reasons.
A great article yesterday by author Simon Watkins is worth a read. See the article at oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Is-Saudi-Arabia-Exaggerating-Its-Oil-Production-Potential.html. Our production numbers and reserves come from the BP Statistical Review. Simon's background is in oil trading, so his claims need to be addressed. We have lots of data about new discoveries made in the last few decades in Saudi Arabia but not enough technical details to verify the size of the finds. If Simon is correct, there is very little potential to produce more oil. Also remember, getting oil out faster doesn't mean there is necessarily more there (accelerated reserves are not incremental reserve adds)
Need to look at the increase of Secoundary Water Flood. In Oklahoma friends have installed Huge water pumps pipelines increase in last several decades. Billions Barrels Sea Water. High light rhe increase of injection wells. Plug on book "Twilight in the Desert" by Simmons
Laurie Dake's excellent book "The Practise of Reservoir Engineering" is a great source for understanding waterfloods. www.amazon.co.uk/Practice-Reservoir-Engineering-Developments-Petroleum-ebook/dp/B001BXY812
I heard they pump alot of sea water in the oil wells to maintain current production

OK - another clue. Cornwall.

Mike, what do U think of U.S. Energy Investment Banker Simmonds and his book on Oil Reserves focused on Saudi Arabia?
Haven't read it. Is it a good book? Was this the one from the around the turn of the century?
Dear sir, can I have more elaborative details of Saudi gas reserves, fields in operation producing gas, etc? Please respond
