- This video shows how to remove the intake vanos solenoid which controls oil pressure to the VANOS unit. The VANOS unit changes timing to advance or retard timing for different driving situations. The solenoid is easy to remove and replace.
Can that solenoid be cleaned?
Hello Nick, The solenoid is the unit I removed. Thanks for the question.
Hello, Usually once filled with fuel and the key is turned on and off the vehicle should return to normal. If the problem is still there then this would be something other than running low on fuel unfortunately.
hello there, i have a bmw 2006 325i a week ago i almost run out of gas , and the car start to shaking and check engine light come on, and i fill up with gas and still keep doing it, you think is these issued because run out gas? or can be come from something different,

Just subscribed! My E85 cranks but no start.
Have a inlet camshaft sensor code:
2986 - Inlet camshaft sensor : signal.
Replaced it with an OEM Bremi cam sensor but it did nothing.
Can you please give me some advice?
It ran fine but one day wouldn’t start
Thanks Tunacat! Sorry for the late reply. I had a bunch of comments that where held up. You still have an issue with your BMW?
Hello John, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Did you get your BMW fixed? I took a look at your channel but did not see the video.
