Watching the progress and construction come together at Lost key marina by y’all is amazing. First service residential appreciates y’all and all the hard work.
I've been in the dock and boat lift construction/repair business for around 4 years now. My mentor in the business, died last summer and since then I've watched your videos and they are very informative. I appreciate you not being afraid to share your knowledge but, even with knowledge, it's a tough business. I currently have an A frame barge but I want to move up to a steel barge and crane or excavator setup but I'm not sure which way to go, the most affordable option is what I'll need, I lost my work boat that served as my push boat, to Helene, so I'm starting at the middle and want to move in a good direction. I notice the excavator excells at everything, including seawalls. Great videos and the work is top notch, thanks again!
Thanks for watching in your comment. I really appreciate that good luck. It just takes doing a good job doing what you say you’re gonna do and even doing a better job than that and you will succeed. People talk and work gets around that you do it right
Thanks for watching my channel in your comment and you are absolutely correct. The Piling wrap prevents the bore worms from eating up the pilings in a few years.
First time viewer these guys are pros, but I didn’t notice much safety equipment, flotation device, etc. also be nice what something like that cost. I’m sure it’s astronomical.
Thank you so much for watching and your comment. We have everything in its place and everybody knows where it goes so it’s not just laid out all over the place. We do try to practice safety because this is a very dangerous job! Pricing I don’t like discussing that on the Internet due to local competition.
We actually had to upgrade the mini coda wasn’t powerful enough to push that little platform around. Got a 2 1/2 hp mercury now does great. Got it from Key Marine locally here in Perdido Key Goodfellas.

Hello Mr. Dale, I found your channel a few weeks ago and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Y’all do some beautiful work 👍
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel.
Most people haven't a clue on the funds it takes to get one of these built!! Great work and hard labor !!
Also, that piling at 2:26 is insane at the deterioration

The piling with the wrap vs the piling bare is a massive difference.

This is probably one of the best businesses in our area. The owner Dale works harder than anyone else on site. And a very stand up man.
Thanks, Thomas. I really appreciate you! But my guys are also just as hard workers. We have a great team. 💪👍
This is fantastic Dale- thanks for posting.
Thank you so much for your comment and watching my channel.
Like all your videos.

The hoses don’t rub on the thumb if you put them inside the thumb, or at least they don’t on my 308 but my hoses look slightly longer. Great work.
Nice battery powerer slit barge platform.

@@DaleWHickman Fascinating. Internal combustion engine is powerful and dependable.
How did y’all fare with this latest hurricane
We did pretty good just a lot of wind didn’t really get much right of it. I feel so sorry for those people that were affected and continue prayers.
I hope you and your family and crew are fine. Helene was not good for Florida but your business will be busy.
Thanks George. It missed us thank God, but I’m sorry for the people that it did affect.
Hi Dale! As always, great video! 💪 I’ve sent you a message with something I think you’ll find interesting. Looking forward to your thoughts!
Thank you appreciate you watching my channel. I will check it out but have not seen an email as of yet.
