If that were so, then it would not apply to his first wife, Susie. I don’t think she loved him because he was just simply a workaholic, according to that authorized biography, Snowball. Susie was hoping that once he made his first billion then he would actually spend more time with his kids. But that did not happen that she got frustrated. Buffett says that he regrets not spending enough time with his family.
@@unknownunknowns I guess that he had learnt his lesson. Maybe at first he measured success by the amount of money he made and the lifestyle that he could afford, then I guess maybe... After his experience his first wife, ge started to think or approach differently.

Because, relatively, he's not nearly as corrupt as other billionaires. He's a decent guy and deserves what he has
I absolutely love that he's a fast food guru. He's not some pretentious rich person that spends thousands of dollars on a single plate of some endangered animal that tastes like shit, just to show how rich he is. He loves the little things in life, and seems like a truly humble and kind human being. His parents absolutely raised him right. If anyone should be president, it should be him. He understands more than any other rich person, the lower and middle class american people. Bill Gates is pretty awesome too.
If you wanna be like rich like Warren, best to invest in everything lucrative. Try to be wise as you go about it though.

How do you go to a shareholder meeting? Let’s say I open a brokerage account, fund it and buy shares in Berkshire Hathaway. How would I vote on company policies and visit shareholder meetings. Someone please explain please.
A1BELLS. It depends on what kind of shares you buy in the company. Most companies issue different groups of shares. Class A, Class B, etc. Some have voting rights, but some do not. Ordinary shares of a company are entitled to one vote per share. So for a company like Berkshire that has millions of outstanding shares, even you buy a few thousand shares, it will only amount to just a tiny fraction of the vote. Your broker should send you your shares certificate, although these days of electronic trading they don't as shares change hands quite often. But your broker should inform you of annual shareholders meetings of the company you hold their stocks, and you can either go and vote in person or through a proxy. By the way, Berkshire's annual shareholder meetings is one of the most publicized events in the investment industry. It is almost like a festival.
Here is an excerpt from TheInvestorsPodcast: "Anyone can attend the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder’s meeting, Saturday May 4, 2019, who holds at least one share of stock. You may be wondering if you need to own an expensive $300,000 share of BRK.A stock. You don’t! In fact, you only need to own 1 share of BRK.B stock (around $200) to get the credentials to attend the meeting." Hope that helps

I agree somewhat - only wanted my immediate family members (parents, spouse, kids, etc) to show me they all loved me, because on my deathbed only they would be on my mind, and also to hopefully, 17 and 6 years later (I still mourn my deceased parents) still be on their minds every single day. I’ve seen too many funerals where all in attendance seemed so distracted because a certain someone was near or a certain someone may see this (I even attended one where after a short time the deceased was forgotten so that everyone could “audition”). Nope, wouldn’t want that sort of “love’ from anyone.
