It was pretty awful that they were trapped with the robbers but the likelihood of them shooting the employees while trapped was very low because doing 5 to 10 years in prison isn't the same as doing life & I understand what "could've happened" but it didn't and now these 2 lowlifes can keep each other company in the chain gang.

I worked a retail job once that was understaffed (as in - 60 customers in the store and 2 employees) and it became unsafe as anyone could have robbed us. Placed numerous calls to management BEGGING them to send someone in to help. They ignored me. When my shift was over, I was covered in a film of sweat from running laps around the store trying to help all the customers and was FURIOUS. I left that place and never came back.
It's almost as if crime WASN'T...down.

There was an incident like this around a year ago where a criminal with a gun got locked in a store by the owner and threatened to shoot a bystander who was also stuck in there with him and sure enough he did. That's reckless to leave his employees in there with those thugs. Lucky they didn't take them hostage.
