Pre-ordered this when announced and got one from the first batch. Haven't been disappointed whatsoever. I actually use it in the FX-loop of a Pod 500HD, so I have all the effects I need, some nice cleans, but use the Kraken for hi-gain tones. Makes for a nice tidy setup 😁🤘
Quick n dirty way of doing it is to turn the knob back n forth a bunch of times, very quickly. It'll clean it up most times. If it lingers, then it's time to bring out the spray.
I have this pedal, through a black star ht5r it's pretty good, probably gets bottlenecked a bit by my cheap amp but eh, I'm pretty happy with it. I didn't like it much with my active pickups though, but when I changed those out for Seymour Duncan everything came together and I'm happy with my tones. I will one-day get something better than the ht5 though, i was thinking katana..any other suggestions? I'd prefer a combo with effects loop but open to anything
@@chaoticneutral1090 As someone with a HT5 and a katana, I'd stick with the HT5. The katana can sound good and is very flexible, but the ht5 does sound better. It just does fewer sounds. With a multi-effects you can use the HT5 as a pedal platform and it becomes a lot more flexible.
This is turning out to be a great birthday..this video, the releasing of some kick-ass B-stock guitars, and the dinner my wife has planned for tonight. It could only get better if Ola himself knocked on my front door.
I love my victory sheriff preamp pedal... I don't "chug" but it turns my 2 channel mesa boogie fillmore 50 into a 4 channel 😎😎🤘🏻🤘🏻...also running it through the effects loop makes it sound waaaaay better!

It’s fairly easy you don’t even have to take the pot apart most of the time. I just use contact cleaner or deoxit aerosol spray. Take off the knob and washer on the affected pot and spray the stem and turn the pot back and forth several times letting the spray work it’s way down the stem into the pot. Has worked for me every time.

Expensive as hell and nothing compared to the amptweaker tight metal, that pedal is the absolute winner when we talk about pure metal tone and aggressiveness
I think I might have finally pulled off a proper chug yesterday. Its hard to get it to sound good through my mics though. Now I've got to figure that out.
Do it if you haven't already. I use it with my Engl Fireball and its crazy good, its on 99% of the time. Put it in the loop and add a boss sd-1 before input.
You should let the lavalier microphone on the ground more often, just hear that sexy low end. Just mix it with a second, properly placed, lavalier and mix them both.

I run the Kraken and the Sheriff pedals in stereo on my DI board. They sound quite good. I also add various OD pedals to give them an extra kick.
The kraken sounds awesome with a boss sd-1 on the green channel, nice VH 1 like tone.
