Glad I'm not the only one that prefers a meal out instead of clubbing 🥰🙈
loved to see how you spend your money in a week, it's really interesting and I appreciate it that you're so open about everything! I'm so happy you're uploading twice a week in december, because I literally love your videos and your personality so much!! X
awww that’s so nice thank you so so much ❤️
@@naynaflorence ❤️❤️❤️
Hey I'm a student in Cardiff and can say that lidl do now sell a variety of plant based milks which are always there as apart of there normal stock. 👌🏽luv the vid
i’ll check it out! thank you ❤️
Really? Ι'm jealous. In Greece Lidl doesn't have many vegetarian/ vegan options. They don't even have frozen berries in most of their stores. They only have almond milk and it's like 3€
They do almond, oat and soya but I don’t recommend the soya milk - tastes like water 🥴🥴 would rather spend like 30p more and get alpro!
Lucy Colpitts they do sell alpro at lidl atc
I’ve just recently sent off my UCAS and applied to Edinburgh!!! Seeing your videos makes me really hope to get in 🤞
Edit: 2 weeks after I applied and I SOMEHOW GOT AN OFFER??!!
Nadia Congrats!!
Loved this, Nayna! I wish I had a Lidl closer to me, but I shop at Aldi and I think they’re pretty similar cost wise! Unfortunately, a lot of it comes in plastic which is super frustrating :(
Also loved that you included the cost of sending parcels etc, as they’re small costs I often forget about spending! xx
Rip... add alcohol and clubbing to that weekly budget and you can make that at least £80 a week :(
Ruby yeah but she wouldnt go out to restaurants as much if she was going clubbing etc
I really wish I spent that little a week!! London is so bloody expensive
I live in stockholm atm and I miss U.K. prices so much :( and supermarkets
LinchenkeksXD oooh can I ask if you moved there for Uni? Because I’m thinking of going there for Uni
LinchenkeksXD oh habe gerade erst deinen Namen gesehen kommst du auch aus Deutschland?😊 und vielen Dank für die Antwort! Dürfte ich dir noch ein paar Fragen stellen?
loving these twice a week uploads they’re rly getting me through the dark days :,) also do u watch catcreature? u sorta remind me of her! if u don’t watch her I think u would enjoy her videos! anyway I hope u have a lovely sunday :)
you need to give me budgeting tips!!😭
Will you ever make a “how I revised for a levels” video? It would be really useful to break down how you got your grades for biology, chemistry and maths
Sachin Sharma filmed this 6 months ago!
If it's the Lidl on Nicolson Street they actually do have both sweetened and unsweetened soya milk! :)
In Greece, the uni's gym is 20 or 30 € a year (at least in my city), depending on how many options you want (which are exactly like any other gym, including a pool). AND! You can apply to have unlimited free meals (breakfast / lunch / dinner) all year round even if you don't have any money difficulties!
that's insane! how great
It was good to see a UK version of this!
I don’t think ~£50 per week is expensive at all. I really struggled for money while I was doing my undergrad (as my mum is a single parent and makes a pittance) and £50 a week is what I lived off ! I think you’ve done well/are being really financially savvy. One tip is I would try and save some money each week/month if you’re not doing so already!
i spend about 50 quid a week too as a student :-)
I totally relate to spending money on eating out instead of clubbing and alcohol! Not that there's anything wrong with these things (I've definitely been clubbing back in the day) but I related so much. Fantastic video idea 💖
OMG! I totally related on the little choc bar from Sainsbury’s. I do the same 😂😂
I'm a student in the US, it was interesting to see what a student in the UK spends in a week!

I think you might enjoy not being so very strict with yourself, seems like you really restrict yourself a lot because these expenses are completely minimal and there'd be almost no way to spend less actually
Hiya! I was wondering if you would maybe consider doing a video about the process of finding a house at uni. I'm currently about to start the process of finding a house for my 2nd year in Edinburgh and have no knowledge or experience whatsoever! Things like finding who to live with, how to start looking at flats, budgets etc! Thank you xx
you kinda look like naomi scott
thats literally me, my friends spend soooo much on alcohol & clubbing, i do spend the same amount but on a nice meal or some clothes instead😂
I'm jealous of all the students that can walk to campus. I'm really out here spending £25 every week just on tube tickets 🤦🏽♂️
Hii :) so I'm 13 years old (btw I love your videos!! They are so helpful!💛) and I have wanted to go vegetarian for a little while now, so I finally decided to try it about a month ago and I have loved it so far, but my family keeps discouraging me and they tell me that it isn't good for me and that I'm only doing it because it's popular, trendy, ect. or that I'm a "VSCO Girl" and it really does hurt me sometimes and I'm not sure what to do
defo watch some documentaries and do some research its so much easier when you know the proper reasons why its benefial
@@naynaflorence thank you so much for the advice!!
I'd implore you to do some actual impartial empirical research before you adopt any diet and not search deliberately for confirmation bias. There are many ESSENTIAL vitamins and amino acids to be found in organic, pasture raised meats and dairy/poultry, not to mention how it's perfectly ethical and sustainable environmentally speaking. Ultimately, any and all decisions are all yours.
@@Da69expert1 totally agree especially at such a young age! It's fine to not eat animal products but when you're fully developed and grown up.
I'd stick to eggs and being pescatarian if you have any objections towards eating animals, otherwise you may have some serious health problems. And I'm writing about that cause I have experienced them myself.
@@Da69expert1 this is SO misinformed gosh. I appreciate that you may think you’re doing a young person some sort of favour but I think you should make sure what you’re saying is accurate first; “Essential” where do you think the animals get these vitamins? And amino acids? *cough* plants. As long as you make sure you eat foods that make up complete proteins, vitamins are abundant in plant based foods. I can’t think of a single vit that is healthier sourced from meat.. even B12 is more easily absorbed in the small intestine from dark green leafy vegetables! The irony of your comment made me giggle “empirical research”. And as for the “sustainable” aspect of ANY kind of animal agriculture, that point is just wrong. But the fact that you used the word “organic” is funny, because non-organic is more “sustainable” than organic because they use less space, food and water. Sustainability and ethical practise are in no way linked. Plus, it’s not environmentally friendly at all, with 18% of ALL greenhouse gases produced from animal agriculture, billions of tons of water wasted, and acres of rainforest and untouched wildlands in 3rd world countries cleared every day to make room for unnecessary additional livestock. There is so much information out there it seems you are blindly ignoring. More recent than your comment but David attenborough documentary “extinction- the facts” points to even more problems it’s causing. Educate yourself before you spread misinformation to others :)
Hi Nayna! Were you at Edinburgh's christmas on the 5th of December?? Because I think I think I saw you or someone who looked like you??
haha i wasn’t :(
The lidl here in the Netherlands do have a lot of vegan options like almond/ soy and rice Milk(also unsweetend) , tofu, yoghurts and meat replacements. I would think they would also have it over there right?
Love your videos ! i go to edinburgh too so fun to see it in vids xx
hey great vid as always 💕 would love to see more university videos/your thoughts on the uni - social life, workload etc
thank you 💕
Pllzzzz invest in a good mic ...i really love your videos but the sound drives me mad
25 min walk? Why don't you get a bike? 😲
Marie Bienbeck i’ve got one but i find cycling with shopping bags so much worse than just walking!
@@naynaflorence true, I always take a big backpack with me so I can keep most of the stuff out of my hands
you should do a hair care and/or skincare routine!
