We share and understand your frustration as there are many simultaneous issues that are contributing to global stock shortages of our products.
The combination of a global chip shortage, Covid-related factory closings in Asia, and massive freight and shipping delays, including at U.S. ports, have created months-long backorders. Everything from our DJ products to washing machines and automobiles have been impacted.
Many of the products that are arriving are fulfilling previous orders that have been made prior. The best thing to do is to get with your preferred store. They will have the most up to date information on deliveries.
We are working overtime to get our products to loyal customers such as yourself as soon as possible. We appreciate your business and patience.
please release new firmware update and make sp16 the best ever sampler made.

I really feel like the only reason why the squid was not adopted by the masses is bc it was ahead of its time
My Sp 16 has long secured a spot in my studio as part of my dawless set up…. it has seen other pieces of gear come and go due to lack of reliability, underperformance, inability to properly sync and inability to change programs on the fly without missing a beat; the other gear I’m referring to are Maschine+, Sp 404mkii, MC 707 and Akai Force. Even though the SP 16 is no longer supported/updated and despite its limitations, it continues to remain relevant and reliable covering sampling and sequencing duties which is what I use it for.

Sp-16 is such a fantastic sampler/drum machine. But sequencing it from the Squid reveal how they left it unfinished. The interaction between it's internal sequencer and sampler is kind of the point of this machine. Just adding step copy, midi recording, polymeter, a few more lfo tricks and some of the tricks from the squid sequencer would have done so much to it.
Coudnt you have done most of this without the Squid , ie sequence with the SP16 ?
