elc he was a troubled man whom got a little to close with kids and they took it the wrong way. I do think he was molested when he was younger and maybe still think about it so he surrounds himself with boys around the age he was molested to feel safe.
this man is the example of trials and tribulations before and after his fame I don't think alot of people could live in his shoes from the beginning of his life
i wish Michael got therapy when he was younger. The abuse he got from his father and the Pepsi commercial incident combined were easily the 2 things that fucked up Michael for life. His expensive taste was probably also derived from the child molestation case, he had a VERY large void in his heart to fill that money honestly could not buy. The pepsi burns opened a gateway to the world of drugs which he got hooked on, the verbal abuse recieved from his father also destroyed his self-confidence. Obsessed with plastic surgery (as shown with his 10+ nose jobs after his father called him 'fat nose', his vitiligo even further destroyed him, causing him to bleach and whiten his skin. This is so sad to see 5 years on. I dont feel members of his family did enough. they were all talk about Michael's problems but failed to act on their worries. This man lived a very sad life.
Yes. Michael definitely needed therapy. All of his troubles and issues stemmed from his childhood trauma. Inside, he seemed to be a wounded child and that wounded child, that hurt and pain, called all of the shots and dictated his personal choices. From the surgery, to building Neverland trying to recapture what he never had, to surrounding himself with kids trying to live vicariously through them. Even his choice to become a great performer, he said he wanted fame because he wanted to feel love from fans to fill the void of not feeling loved as a kid and most importantly, he wanted Joseph to finally acknowledge him and show him love but I don't think he ever got that from Joseph. All of MJs issues stem from his father. How much better could his life have been if he would've gotten help?
I agree with you right there! Michael Jackson didn’t deserve all of this. Let’s be glad his father Joe lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, or even better, if that stroke he suffered in 2015 ended his life!
Wtf WHY does that interviewer has to know what he's father was beating him with? So much pressure on Micheal Like that interviewer didn't even care about his feeling and that it was basically to hard to talk about.
As someone who was physically & emotionally abused until I left home, at age 17, I can completely understand MJ pain. There is nothing a small child can due that deserves to be beat with a belt or cord. In my case, it was a razor strap, that had the stitching removed & so it was like getting hit with 3 pieces of leather. I think the abuse is bad enough but when a parent doesn't show their children any love, empathy or compassion can be just as damaging. However, I think the person doing this interview pushed too far. I'm sure MJ was aware abuse would be brought up, because they are usually notified or give the interviewer what they are willing to talk about, but took the questioning about the abuse too far. I have read that JJ had a strict upbringing & was abused by his father. But I also wonder if JJ was even more abusive because he hated the fact that he & his brother Luther, never became successful after they started their own singing careers. JJ also never made a successful boxing career, like he wanted, which more than likely increased his anger, seeing that the Jackson's were more successful when they were kids than JJ was as an adult. Of course he wanted them to be successful, that way they could support his lame, lazy azz. www.biography.com/people/joseph-jackson-467150#early-life I'll bet JJ first wife is glad she didn't stay married to him. I understand their religious beliefs, but It's just too bad that Katherine didn't leave him. I realize that most people who are religious believe divorce is a sin. When in fact, the Bible gives explicit examples that divorce is allowed, when 1 or the other commits adultery. This interviewer is so insensitive. Michael was literally almost crying, and actually said “why do you do this to me?” And the man still kept asking. Clearly he was uncomfortable and though he kept answering, you could tell he didn’t want to. I think there is a certain level of respect that many interviewers didn’t have with Michael because they for some reason felt they were entitled to know everything about his life. And it’s sad, Michael was always used to it from the time he was as young as 10. I hate that with celebrities, they aren’t seen as humans almost. It’s like people just think of them as machines made for entertainment and that because they choose to be entertainers to the public, they don’t get to have privacy and that we as the public get to know everything about them. No more suffering.
I want to hug him so much... Miss you, Michael ❤❤❤ I miss you so much. He was such a good soul, such a beautiful man with big heart... The Earth need more people like him.
when mj covered his face and said "why r u doing this to me?"i was gonna break down, i cant imagine wat he had to go through, mj is such an amazing person, and hes been through so much. i lvoe him to death. :-(
I don't care what anyone says, Michael's father damaged him and his siblings and it didn't take that type of violence to keep them in line as small children, no matter what was going on in the streets around them. 💯 real talk. That's why many need to have put in recreational facilities and schools classes that tech on how to spot abuses and some steps to take.
According to Lisa Marie, he was high on something during the interview. If you get triggered to the point of distress while high, imagine how triggered you would get when you’re not high. Child abuse is the most serious problem in the world it is the cause of ALL bad things in the society. Anything imaginable
Aweful aweful - his dad was a monster. I sure miss Michael and his beautiful voice. Michael would probably be alive today and been happy with his looks if his dad had not constantly beat and belittled him.
It sucks seeing Michael's children defend the character of Joe knowing what he did to their dad. It does not matter if he changed later on. The actions of the past hurt Michael's future.
Poor Michael! When he started to cry, if I'd been the interviewer, I would have stopped those questions and gave him a hug...saying "Don't worry...baby....everything is alright now....". I would have also dried his sweet eyes! I certainly wouldn't let that poor boy, cry....
i’m glad michael was able to share this information with the world while he was alive. it’s so important for people to realize how a child’s conditions growing up will affect them for the rest of their life; especially hearing it from the one man the whole world looks up to. i wish the interviewer had a little compassion though, or at least pretend to. i’m cringing at the way the guy doesn’t even try to hide how horny he is to get a good headline out of him like, ‘wait, did you say he would hit you? with a belt? is that what you just said? say again one more time - into the mic, please. great, thanks.’ like ??? what else would the whooping gestures and sound effects he just made mean? that’s enough for people to understand, it’s so unnecessary to continue digging into that one particular spot. michael is clearly extremely uncomfortable already just talking about it and the guy couldn’t make it less obvious that he doesn’t actually give a shit about the horrible things he went through and just needs those juicy buzzwords that will grab people’s attention.
Michael passed before Joe did so... Carma came back to bite Joe before he passed and Michael left his whole fortune to his mother and his children he didn't leave Joe nothing.
And his Father still said in later years if it wasn't for him doing that Michael wouldn't have been what he was. Michael was a gift from God. Michael showed his ass just what he could be.
Is this why his voice is so shy like? Or like was he born with a shy voice? Very sad. But he has the most sofest vocie ever, but when he sings, he sings with such energy, that you think he is a very happy boy with the potential to be very famous in the future.😥
You know what upsets me? That people actually have got the nerve to DEFEND Joe Jackson!! He caused his son this pain, and people defends it. You see how it affected him, even in his late years? Yes, he was a good manager, but you know what Michael said in the leaked phone call with his friend: "I learned a lot from showbusiness. my father didn't give me the talent, he was great in the jackson 5 days, and I thank him for that, but I would've been where i am without him too." .. or something.
I know that kind of fear and pain of a parent where you loose your sense of self-worth (or your consciousness) and have to vomit very well. My parents were like that, too. Michael achieved a lot by forgiving his father. I also know the total denial of the truth by the parents, which makes you question your own perception. It is narcissistic abuse (educate yourself on that if you want to understand Michael's life!). Ultimately Joe Jackson has some responsibility for Michael's death, because he confused Michael with his lies and Michael was maybe still not always trusting his ability to judge people and surrounded himself with people that were selfish and didn't care about his well-being at all before he died.
chronic grace Yes I FEEL YOU I HAD THE SAME THING WITH MY FATHER UNTIL MY BROTHER AND I EXCAPED HIM WHRN I TURNED 18!!!'"" ONE TIME MY FATHER TOLD ME TO DROP DEAD!!!""...AND I THOUGHT ABOUT KILLING MYSELF THAT'S HOW BAD I FELT AND MINER STUFF LIKE PICKING ME UP IN THE AIR AND SHAKING ME AS HARD AS HE COULD WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD!!! I STLL HAVE BAD MEMORIES ABOUT THAT AND I HAVEN'T SEEN OR SPOKEN TO MY FATHER EVER SINCE I LEFT HIM!!!"" HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT I WAS WORTHLESS I MEAN WHAT DOES SOMEONE DO IF YOUR PARENTS DON'T LOVE YOU THEN WHO WILL? AND YOUR CHILD HOOD IS THE FOUNDATION FOR A PERSON'S INTIRE LIFE!!!""..MUSIC HELPS ME EXPRESS MY FEELINGS AND DEEP EMOTIONS LIKE MICHAEL JACKSON!!!"... MY FATHER HATED MICHAEL JACKSON BUT I LOVE HIM AND ALWAYS WILL I FEEL SOOOOOOOOO CLOSE TO MICHAEL!!!!!"""I MISSSSSS HIM TERRIBLY!!!!!!!"""
Regardless of whatever happens a child should not be abused to the point of extreme fear and vomiting. Just as Michael hated his father at times, I felt the same about my mother. It is really sad to grow up without a mother's love, because the mother carries the child 9 months and for a mother to not like or love her child is the worst. A father is suppose to protected and provide financially, but for boys a father is the one who teaches his son how to be a man with love and kindness.
"But you were producing successful records" "I know" Those I knows are painful, someone who doesn't care what they achieved at that point in time because it was so dark for them.
It’s amazing that MJ still loved music as much as he did. He could have easily grow to resent it after all his father put him through, but the passion could not be dissipated.
I want to vomit from just listening to all of the disgusting things Joe would subject his children to, I get Katherine was from a time when women didn't leave their husbands, but at the time, she saw that her children were being physically abused by their father and she still made the decision to stay with him. What type of mother stays with a man that does that!??? At that point, she is equally to blame.
And to all who still think that he was a p*do, he was not and is not. You hear how bad he said the beatings were and how much he was afraid of his own father! A lot of children in the world don't have this experience (thank lord). And the only reason he was so tied up with children is because he wants them to have a better life than he did. He wanted to cherish the children and live the life he hadn't been able to experience. He acted like a child as a grown up to have a second chance at being young, happy, free of Joe's torture. Then there are the other people who think that he was a p*do because he was so attached to kids. He loved kids but not s*xually. He wouldn't ever, he just wants them to be happy.
I love you Michael. Always have always will. The haters will die off one by one. You will continue to stand in your rightful place in history as THE greatest entertainer to ever live. Your compassionate and giving heart literally changed the world and made it a better place. I miss you...

No more suffering.
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson 🙏
Sad....😢💔😢 People say the whoppings are a form of discipline, Michael was clearly physically abused. Rest In Peace continuously MJ.
And yet on stage he looks happy…
Poor Mike, you deserved beter😢
Rest in peace in heaven Michael🙏🏾
He had to fake being happy.
Michael is trying to make a point, and the interview keeps interrupting with his own ideas. Let a guy talk!
Fausto Essentuki yh Innit!!!
That's their grandpa and people treat their grandchildren differently often.
Michael himself never hated his dad tho, he just never understood him or built a father-son connection with him. Which is sad but I mean...
He was a strong, lovable human who ever lived. Rip Mj👑
Poor Michael! When he started to cry, if I'd been the interviewer, I would have stopped those questions and gave him a hug...saying "Don't worry...baby....everything is alright now....". I would have also dried his sweet eyes! I certainly wouldn't let that poor boy, cry....
How do people expect him to be perfect when he has this past
Right ✅️
It's depressing to know things like this happen, but in turn it was this which made Michael Jackson what he was and still is; an icon.
Mike was a lot tougher than we think. Idk how he kept from falling apart in life.
he was super sensitive
Michael was bullied untill he died
I can't imagine how agonizing it must be to get whipped for nothing.
Getting whipped for missing a step is insane.
i’m glad michael was able to share this information with the world while he was alive. it’s so important for people to realize how a child’s conditions growing up will affect them for the rest of their life; especially hearing it from the one man the whole world looks up to. i wish the interviewer had a little compassion though, or at least pretend to. i’m cringing at the way the guy doesn’t even try to hide how horny he is to get a good headline out of him like, ‘wait, did you say he would hit you? with a belt? is that what you just said? say again one more time - into the mic, please. great, thanks.’ like ??? what else would the whooping gestures and sound effects he just made mean? that’s enough for people to understand, it’s so unnecessary to continue digging into that one particular spot. michael is clearly extremely uncomfortable already just talking about it and the guy couldn’t make it less obvious that he doesn’t actually give a shit about the horrible things he went through and just needs those juicy buzzwords that will grab people’s attention.
0:54 is the part i’m referring to
Michael passed before Joe did so...
My heart can’t take this 😢I’m so sorry Michael Jackson may you Rest In Peace you didn’t deserve any of it❤
Is this why his voice is so shy like?
This video breaks my heart:-(😢😢poor Michael♡♡ love you so much♡
Michael's dad made me SOOOOOOO MAD!!!😡😱💥
Leticia Gracia yeah his dad made you angry? lol, without his dad Micheal wouldn't be famous.
Well now he is dead too and got to live almost twice as long as Michael did. Just sad.
@@nellag4982 that's no excuse abuse is not okay!!!
@@nellag4982 so what? That doesn't justify anything. He didnt need to beat them for them to be good did he?
We should have beat HIS ass, see how he likes that.
I felt bad for Michael. He had so much talent. Once in a generation talent. And I'm not sure he realized how good he was.
Poor Michael.
The betrayal of Michael by this interviewer.
omg...look at these tired eyes...It's good that he's now in comfort....Rest in peace MJ...
when a grown man cries when talking about his childhood it's abuse
Don't worry anymore Michael! All that pain and suffering is gone now. Go, be free and rest in peace :) We will miss you
Regardless of whatever happens a child should not be abused to the point of extreme fear and vomiting.
"But you were producing successful records"
"I know"
Those I knows are painful, someone who doesn't care what they achieved at that point in time because it was so dark for them.
It’s amazing that MJ still loved music as much as he did. He could have easily grow to resent it after all his father put him through, but the passion could not be dissipated.
Michael, it's so unfair :(
WE LOVE YOU 4 EVER!!! Rest in peace, angel(L)
we love you Michael you will always be in our hearts rip 😢
R.i.P my ass
I can feel his pain 😔
Michael Jackson I am so very sorry for you I know you feel hurt right now 💔💔💔💔💔 💔💔💔
« I knoooow » he’s so cute ☹️❤️🤧
i also had abusive father :( i understand Michael's pain.
I feel bad about Michael Jackson childhood life 😥😔
Without his father,he would never be in this stage in his right now, because he will not be serious, but his father was a mean one too
I want to vomit from just listening to all of the disgusting things Joe would subject his children to, I get Katherine was from a time when women didn't leave their husbands, but at the time, she saw that her children were being physically abused by their father and she still made the decision to stay with him. What type of mother stays with a man that does that!??? At that point, she is equally to blame.
This is something he needed to see a therapist for, not an interviewer.
Poor Michael. :[ I can't believe that his dad that to him. :[
That is so, so, awful. :[
This breaks my fuckin heart man. Love you Michael. Miss you lots.
I love micheals voice too bad we dont have you rip
I feel bad for him
I love you Michael. Always have always will. The haters will die off one by one. You will continue to stand in your rightful place in history as THE greatest entertainer to ever live. Your compassionate and giving heart literally changed the world and made it a better place. I miss you...
Rest in peace mike. I love you man I hope your resting easy. And I will never forget the time i met you at 8 years old and you treated me like I was your friend. Long live the king of pop. 😢😢
It seems that Bashir had no empathy at all! You can clearly see how uncomfortable and painful it was for Michael to talk about his childhood trauma, yet Bashir kept asking him specific questions about the abuse. He should have stopped immediately when Michael had tears in his eyes and said to him “why do you do this to me”. This is beyond sickening and cruel.
He s a Rare gem💎❤️
This man went through so much his whole life. Yet was so gifted
Poor Michael :(. Nobody, not anybody deserves what he went through.
i feel so sorry for michael jackson why can't he see that it clearly upsets him to remember the past. when mj covered his face and said "why r u doing this to me?" i was so upset, bless him. ily MJ
