This is quite possibly one of the best shows Garcia has picked for the band, ever! Besides the amazing BALLET RUSSES. So work on it guys, it has GREAT potential
@jackiewithlove everyone INCLUDING pit should be watching the drum major. The drum major is the ultimate metronome in the band and is what is to be followed. If you watch the drum major you will not be ahead if the rest of the band is watching the drum major because the point of watching is that the speed of light travels faster than the speed of sound so it is easier to stay together by watching rather than by listening. Ultimately, even if you here your own sound at a different time than the
Very good FIRST PERFORMANCE and on Turf!! watch in 720P if your computer allows it. I recorded it in 720. Looks really good. Again, I apologize for the sound quality; it was windy and the band was timid. Great job colorguard.
I watched the show today at the lopez vs los fresnos game, and honestly, even though the show has tremendous potential for being awesome, the playing just doesn't match the awesomeness of the show. Where there should be impacts, the band just decays to what seems like one or two people of each section playing, and not even loud. I just think it needs a lot of work musically and obviously marching wise since the season just started, but definitely potential there and keep up the good work.
yea...it was effing HOT!!!! those uniforms are thick and heavy....and it was about three or four oclock in the afternoon -.- i had a raging headache when we were through :(
@jackiewithlove rest of the band, it should meet up with the audience regardless if everyone is following the drum major. Trust me, I am an ex marching band member and I know how freaking annoying it is to have a pit that doesn't follow the drum major especially when they have your part and you are marching right behind them.
@lakergurl23 i completely agree. great great potential. i think you all need to work on marching transitions AND the first movement is a bit weak. i think you all are very comfortable with it that you all are losing the technicalities
