I marched this show in the sax section, we worked so hard to be heard. I remember everyone’s face when we there announced the results and we got a division 2.

its that kind of mentality that gets WPC your division 2's and 3's...its not about majoring in music. its about not embarrassing yourself in front of everyone and caring about what you do. weslaco will never know what success is until people start caring like they used to. I've looked at region and district results and maybe 1 person makes it. thats pathetic. when i was at whs, you had to go to region just to be considered for honors band. now its whoever they can get. its time for a big change.

@ashleyannerdz I was defending los fresnos! I know it was because the stars were dancing, I used to be in marching band as well, I know how it works. Its just MyLlamaLlama makes it seem like he's trying to offend the band for not marching when they're not supposed to be marching.

@ThatKidTyler956 hahaha I know!!! They just walk around!! When they actually play they do sound good but their show is sooo tired. I didn't get to see San Benito. One of the judges had Los Fresnos down for 3rd place and another had em 34th.

...unlike harlingen, i watched it. i thought the music was boring but they had marching down great and same for music *when they did play*

as a member from SBHS, that really was great, and the judges we're being jacked up :/. we were the second band to play and i personally think we did AMAZING but something wasn't right one judge had us for third and another put us for 33rd D:< ??? we ended up getting 16 i beleive, but we also improved from 27th from last area. and for you guys to preform awesome in crappy conditions like us makes me mad. and i think our (both yours and ours) music is exciting and interesting, unlike harlingen

@aracelyaraguz The colorguard did a great job considering the wind . I loved the performance. The judges had a boot up their ass. :( Your all's sound was great! and the formations were really clean and flowed beautifully. As far as memorable, I think that's a big factor--The performance was good but the show isn't WOW enough to say later, "Oh, Remember LF..." Plus, Los Fresnos is sorta the underdog. Regardless, compared to last time you all went to Area, 29th/35--this is much improved,

What the troll of an OP didn't do was get a recording of the standing ovation that this band got immediately following the performance. I'm sorry, but from what I heard, we were the only band to receive one that night :P

wow, I am amazed. This has been the best performance I've seen for Los Fresnos. There really weren't even that many mistakes... good job band.

@Osway14 Very true. This weekend Los Fresnos performed at the Deep River Marching Showcase and their performance went fairly well but the pit sounded way off. One of Edcouch's old directors was sitting with me and told me that the pit just needs to listen to the drum line. The pit is so focused on what theyre doing that they ignore the battery

@1594MS Let 'em talk. Weslaco will most likely get another two this year anyway. And you all can have your year, it only took you guys 5 years to beat LF. If anyone knows the technicalities it's people who have been in or are in bad and Weslaco's is pathetic. They can't march or play for shit. Disgusting. Maybe LFs show is a bit on the plain side, but at least their fundamentals are right.

I watched the show today at the lopez vs los fresnos game, and honestly, even though the show has tremendous potential for being awesome, the playing just doesn't match the awesomeness of the show. Where there should be impacts, the band just decays to what seems like one or two people of each section playing, and not even loud. I just think it needs a lot of work musically and obviously marching wise since the season just started, but definitely potential there and keep up the good work.

@jackiewithlove rest of the band, it should meet up with the audience regardless if everyone is following the drum major. Trust me, I am an ex marching band member and I know how freaking annoying it is to have a pit that doesn't follow the drum major especially when they have your part and you are marching right behind them.

@jackiewithlove everyone INCLUDING pit should be watching the drum major. The drum major is the ultimate metronome in the band and is what is to be followed. If you watch the drum major you will not be ahead if the rest of the band is watching the drum major because the point of watching is that the speed of light travels faster than the speed of sound so it is easier to stay together by watching rather than by listening. Ultimately, even if you here your own sound at a different time than the
