I just snagged a Kindle version of "The Divine Christology of the Apostle Paul." The online preview at Amazon was compelling. I just finished the entirety of Wright's & Bird's 900 page "The New Testament in Its World" as a companion to a fresh reading of the NT and found Wright's presentation of Paul's Christology to be very engaging and inspirational. The Bruno, Lee, Schreiner piece will be a welcome follow up. Thank you!

You're right about that. I wonder if because the series initially started out as digital-only, which likely enabled the authors to write without much limitation.
The Beginning and End of all Things from the ESBT is solid too, I worked through that one with a Colson Fellows small group. The discussion questions made for engaging conversation.
For a brand new Christian, what Bible study would you recommend? These all sound interesting, but I'm new to this and overwhelmed. I've only been watching UA-cam videos, reading a devotional and the Bible. But I'll like to do an actual Bible study. Thanks!

I do not know of any Bible commentary that explains the Sign of Jonah without doing violence to scripture. If anyone does know of such a commentary, please cite it. TY. (And remember, in Mark 8 Jesus is quoted as saying that no sign from heaven would be given to first century Israel.) And I might add that, if these Bible commentaries cannot explain the Sign of Jonah without causing violence to scripture, then they are not worth wasting one's time on.

I have really enjoyed the EEC Series so far. The volumes are long, but usually they justify their length by being very relevant and helpful.
