I've ridden the C650GT., sat on the C400X and bought a C Evolution scooter (the electric one). They all have high seat heights but are easy to manage. I'm having so much fun on my C Evo that I haven't ridden my big bike at all. Too bad electric is expensive in the Philippines. The operating/maintenance expenses for the CEvo is cheap!!!
It is not limited to 140 km / h and is very stable at this speed. There are several high speed videos that attest it. The front tire is the same as the c650 and the rear tire is 150/70 ZR 14 against 160/60 ZR 15, not a big difference. The top speed is not much higher than 300cc. The big difference is with a passenger or going up hill. It's say 400 and it's a 350 ... but with more power than an xmax 400. The best feature for me is how it do curves, the best I've ever experienced in a scooter. Test both and select, that's what I did.
kilabot749 thanks bro. But to be sure and avoid any inconvenience at the toll gate, just get a bike 500cc++ in my budget. Honestly 250cc ++ should be ok in the expressway but what can we do this what the government mandates. Hopefully they will review this rule in the near future.
@@boypazaway5833 true, but i also heard that there is an urban myth that the real reason behind the 400cc rule is based on the "old school" assumption that people who can afford the 400cc and above motorcycles or "big bikes" are likely more educated in terms of road rules and road courtesy. Or perhaps they just want to minimize the number of motorcycles in the expressway since less people can afford the 400cc and above.
kilabot749: You made your point bro and your right . In other countries getting a 2 wheeled license is much more tougher. Maybe someday it will be implemented in our country and it should be given equally if deserved it👌

I really wanted to buy this (or the GT) but because its only 350cc, its not allowed to enter our local toll roads. Its not fun if u only can use this on the service roads then. Will wait for a higher (and newer) cc maxscoot version acceptable on our toll roads.
Kong sa presyo lang mag Yamaha xmax nalang ako oh aerox. Brand lang binabayaran dito. Mahal sobra. Sa presyo nito uli makakabili na ako ng 471cc Honda Rebel. Highway Legal pa.
You're just paying it for the BMW brand. Yamaha Xmax is also a 300cc engine with ABS and all that extra stuffs from the BMW but costs only 240k pesos. Might be better to buy a real 400cc bike that can go highway if you want to spend more than 400k for a bike.
@@dantebarrientos1847 So it will obv have a price premium because of its badge. Is the premium worth it? Def not for the average person with an average salary. But let's say an average person bought this. What will he get? Not just a maxi scoot. But a /BMW/
FYI, only the c600 and c650 uses the kymco engines from Taiwan. The c400 series uses loncyn engines from mainland china. Edit: I've also heard the BMW marketers says that the engines are actually designed in Germany but only assembled in China. Ok, let's get this straight, even if the engines are designed in Mars or Pluto, or even outside our Galaxy, if it is still "assembled" in China then it is "Made in China". Here's an example: If a T-shirt was designed by an american in the USA but was actually put together in the Philippines, it's design printed in the Philippines, and all from Filipino materials, then it is "Made in the Philippines". Same thing....End of story.
In the US, the standard instrument read out is not available, forcing buyers to buy the overpriced optional $1000+ digital read out. Also I find nothing attractive with the boxy, assemmetrical headlight. Also no passenger back rest is available, a necessity I believe for kids and older passengers. The C400x is overpriced, especially compared to the better looking, and more sleek Yamaha XMAX 300, which sadly in the US is available only in the lackluster matte Black. And note that parts and service for the BMW will be much higher. I just don't see any advantage in this machine.
Engine is actually made by Loncin (Chinese manufacturer) who is a long time partner of BMW in Asia and has been manufacturing engines for the "thumper" 650gs since 2009.

Yamaha Xmax just as capable, cheaper. Also likely easier to get parts and work on.
The only problem is not a highway legal Bike. I hope they import the 400cc variant here in PH.
Kymco Xciting 400i is a good maxiscoot too
Kymco xciting S is the way to go
i agree, but the 3 letters is still different. just kidding lol.
@@Butchalfonso23 but that 3 letter uses a kymco engine haha
Hey, where in the PI did you film your vid? Nice scooter, thanks.

Can ask? San po yung village na yan? Is it exclusive? Balak ko kumuha jan. San kaya po located yan? Ty
I see the BYBRE made brake calipers. Are they made in India like the KTM Duke 390?
What's the point of having a 350cc engine and limited to 140 kph. XMAX is a much better choice from this price point.
XMAX has no BMW logo.

I agree
Is it ever going to come in Indian market??????
You guys consider xmax or kymco xciting 400i. Just watch the review on youtube. 3 letters for a maxiscoot is overrated
Kymco definitely. Kymco actually manufactures the engines for BMW scooters.
Caco should try MC ride next time :)
so what's the point of having 350cc engine if it's only designed for urban riding and it's only has a ts of140 kph?
This model have a kymco engine inside like a bmw c600 or something else ? Thanks
You wrong

Expressway legal?? Mdyo mhal nga sya ms pk p yta ang kymco s400 noodoe. 🤔🤔 great rview sir 👍🏽

It's the old C400X. The 2019 already has TFT screen.
TFT is optional choice,,,,,,,,@
The kymco Xciting S 400i kills this this mid variant segment
I’m much worried in engine displacement less than 400cc. This kind of scooter is it allowed in the Philippine expressway?
It will depend on what they will put on the orcr. The ktm duke 390 is only 370cc but it is stated as 400cc in orcr so it is allowed in expessways.
