Hi Katherine - I just found this tutorial - you are a GREAT step by step teacher! Best video over - I am off to make a cowl - it has been several years since I had my knitting loom out - and my daughter in law and granddaughter both asked for cowls -- so I am ready to try this pattern now - thanks for sharing your art! Merry Christmas!
But you have to make sure that your loops are not to tight because if your loop is tight you can break the yarn loop so try to make ur loop loose but not to loose
I did like this & want to make it again, BUT my bottom ( the beginning) seriously rolls 'up'. I pulled my yarn towards the center as you showed us. What do you suggest? Thanks.
I have made hats before and always started wrapping all pegs first and then going back & pulling them off. Plus I start at the anchor peg & go in a counter clock position. Is it a matter of preference in the manner you do it? I feel as if your way going clockwise is for left handed people or maybe it’s just that I’m not used to that way?
Your way of knitting sounds great! I knit my pegs only one or a few at a time as personal preference, and I also don't want to risk that the loops get too tight, or that a ladder is formed. I tend to work clockwise because working right to left matches up with knitting charts. Also I like to purl towards the left. Thanks for sharing.
I love it! Great for a quick gift! Would you try a hat or scarf made with unruffled sashay yarn? Its like a super bulky size yarn when not opened up. Thank you.
Yes, this project is perfect for a quick gift! As for sashay yarn, I'd definitely use it for a scarf or cowl. As for a hat, personally, I'd do a little swatch first to help me envision how it would turn out. It's hard for me to picture that. Good luck!
I used a 36 peg loom because that’s the biggest one I have. I knitted with the faux fur very loosely and it fits snuggly over my head. I made it for my preteen daughter.
You can keep track with pen and paper, and you can also learn to "read" your stitches by looking at the back of the pegs and identifying knits versus purls.
Love your memory trick...to keep track of which rows.
This is What I'm looking for. Thank you so much.👍👍♥️♥️
Perfect. Thank you.

Merry Christmas and thank you very much.
Made this last night and I love it! I did the pattern 5 times instead of 4 though. I like mine a little longer.
Such wonderful instructions! Thank you for making it simple to understand and follow.😊
Glad it was easy to follow.
❤Pretty blue hugs Joanne
I really did enjoy this video. It changed my idea of looming. Thank you.
You are welcome.
Followed and made this for my 2 year old grandson ♥️
Lucky little boy. Thank you!

Gracias
Such a clear tutorial from star to finish. Thank you so much.
Glad you liked it.
Thank you that was easy n cool

Very helpful but when I get to the bind off it is too tight with very little stretch. Thanks
The basic bind off requires you to be quite loose. Another option would be to do the stretchy bind off which I use in the other cowls I think.

I suggest trying out the chain cast on method that I demonstrate in the sand stitch cowl video and the diagonal stitch cowl.
@@hellomsyarn Thank you!
Can I use this pattern for a blanket?

Do you have one on a smaller loom. Like the 36
I haven't tested this on a 36 peg loom.

How many rows is the total length of the cowl please? Thank you
I think I did 17 rounds. My last round was a purl round.
What if I forget where I left off
