Low income single seniors receive approximately $1600 a month for a pension. Where is the Minister for Seniors when seniors when it comes to resolving this issue. There is no response from his office!!!!

So this is a government that has DOUBLED the Canadian debt in 8 short years so none of these programs are actually sustainable. What can be cut to balance the budget since it doesn't seem to have done so itself ?? Some things have to give or the IMF will sort it out for us just as they did Greece's overly generous social programs.

One thing we have to be careful of is if taxes and programs get cut in Canada, we get hit HARD. Once things are gone it is really hard get them back, and our wage caps are so much lower than they are in the USA.
Which is a sad state to be in, to have to depend on a gov't for SOO much and that's the problem!
Think about that really. Trudeau has created too many government departments that are unnecessary. When Pierre as PM he will get rid of them and the private sector will take over programs that are actually needed and put people to work then they will be collecting more taxes through employed citizens. Yes it’s going take time to fix and money. A lot of the programs Trudeau government has introduced are already available from the provincial and territorial governments I don’t appreciate paying taxes twice for the same program.

I think there should be a basic living stipend and enough money to fund schools properly, hospitals properly, city services properly, and no public service should be privatized bc only greedy jerks who don’t follow through (like metrolinx) are almost always the ppl who get to privatize and make us regret we live here. All elderly ppl should get a decent pension and have subsidized housing. All kids should get fed at school. It’s not “someone else” it’s helping, it’s all of us it helps.
