Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. I am wondering how to carve down a thick peace of tree branch? When I do not have the electric power tool like you have. I did recently buy a off name brand "Dremel."
Thanks for the comment I have use a draw knife to shape down a branch I guess it would all depend on the size of the branch a small hatch is my go to tool when off grid for wood size hope this helps stay safe just carve
Been watching you and jordy and Ben studio on the lake . I am just getting started. working on getting more carving tools. Enjoy your videos for the instruction and entertainment Very well done 😁😁.
I use Poplar in rectangles from Menards and cut them to length for a lot of my carvings. Might try the larger dowels for my sticks until the limbs in the garage dry out some. thanks for the inspiration. I really like the multiple carvings on your stick and they work so well with each other. Keep on inspiring every day!
Two wonderful carvers, Rob & Jordy , one with a knife that tells story's and make some awesome nice carving .. and the other uses, chain saws and Dremels and makes awesome nice carving , and swears like a sailor .. We all love you guy's keep up the good work, and we'll ring the bell ?? See Ya , Texas
THank you very much for sharing. I just retired ,so I'm getting my ass in gear for carving again. Did some whittling and carving in the 70's while in the Army at Ft. Carson. There use to be a carving museum south of Denver but I don't know if it's still there. Great place to get started though. Looking forward to watching your videos, thanks again.
@@justcarverob9389 my brother was in the first place at the usa karate championship but got disqualified as he did a round house in no kick zone on a 6'5" guy that had been competing for 15 yrs. My brother a third degree black belt. His numb chucks r carved ivory I think that's right. I bet with ur short demo sticks if they were the right length I bet u could sell them. Put a chain between them. Through them on eBay. 50$ I bet they'd sell. U can do a 100 pics for free.
i liked the walking sticks been fasinated with them sese i was about 14 but didnt know how to get started i had met an older gental men and been instrestead in them ever sense
Thanks for the scm air grinder demo, Rob. I think you gotta have that touch to get good at carving with one. Do you think they are worth the high dollar after owning one for awhile? The control looks great due to high speed. Tkx. Rob
@@justcarverob9389 I was hoping for that answer as I do understand that it must be great for fine detail work. I know it would be great on very hard woods because of the high speed. Just hate when carving and tool takes off with grain. Thankyou
The grain can always be shine through in the type finish being used . Example I use lots of paint . So you would think I just kill the grain . But not so I water down the paint so that acts more like a stain and the grain still shows through thanks
the bits you were using do they work in a Dremel???? i have dremels but that tool you use is way out my price range unless i could some to set ma a go fund me page lol lol.
