Something I wish I could change is the need I have to have everything perfect before I start something. As in - if I don't have a nice workspace I won't work on the things I want, If my room isn't clean I can't organize it, if the laundry isn't done I can't declutter - There always seems to be something stopping me from making any real progress. I would love to see a video on this actually! I know I just need to start - just do something, but its so hard if I don't feel content.

The life-changing habit I'm starting is to STOP trying to force my self to create a bunch of new habits. In the spirit of radical self-acceptance, I'm choosing to embrace my rebel tendency and its gifts. I used to wish I was more of an upholder like you but it's not going to happen. And that's ok ;) I love these habit/routine videos because I can pick and choose what feels good to me, what's in alignment with my values, or just challenge myself and see what results I get. Thanks Amy!

Morning pages have completely changed me and reduced my anxiety more than anything else. Walking my dog first thing is no longer a choice, he forces me to do it, but it’s a great start to my day also. Love your videos!

I absolutely love your channel Amy! One habit that I have built over the past couple years is being sure that I am in control of my emotions. That definitely helps me with setting up my mood for the day, and keeping good attitudes. Emotional intelligence is so important!
Your comment about not sitting through the TV show that wasn't cutting it - this rings SOOOO true, I have done this so many times in the last year - I am now so hyper-aware of how much time I do (and do not) have and I am immediately cutting things out ruthlessly that aren't working...gotta love getting old
One of my habits is to write down a few things I’m grateful for daily. This helps keep me positive even if it seems things aren’t going great. An attitude of gratitude changes our mindset!
I wish I could have better study habits regarding school. I'm a senior, 6 months away from my BA in Psych and really wanting to crush these last few classes to wrap this project up finally lol

Hey Amy! I loved this video ☺️ I'm from the UK! I personally wouldn't change anything in my life, I love it ☺️ I think my life and mindset changed when I was diagnosed with MS... I had a few tough years but now.. I put myself, my health and my mind first most of the time, stop worrying about what others think, stop worrying about things out of my control, journalling, appreciating every little thing that I have and not taking things for granted ☺️ have a great day. Being productive in the mornings. I'm great at being awake at 4:15 am. But then I just relax have some tea. And catch up on shows on UA-cam. Part of me feels I could be doing more productive things.but I have a toddler and those moments for myself are amazing too.

My relatively new daily habit that I’ve been doing since last September is a cold shower every morning. It lifts my mood which helps with my depression as well as waking me up and all the other health benefits associated with a cold shower. x

Loved your comments about seeking the gold stars... lol I have literally said that to people. And I totally agree with the phone out of reach at night. I literally have a chime reminder that goes off a half hour before bed, so I plug it in and then start on my night time routine of straightening up and getting ready for sleep. I so need to work on #6 and reviewing my next day. It would be such a mind reliever. Nice video!

Consistency is the main thing I want to change. I have only a very few hours to accomplish what I want to accomplish. I have been 4 and 7:00 to do my morning routine and it is a hit and miss most of the time. Thank you for your encouraging videos!!

Love the great tip for those working at home and able to schedule fewer days for full make-up and business dress code. I intentionally schedule my weeks so that video calls, video recording, and out-of-office appointments are booked on one or two days a week. If I do the math, it saves me 3 hours a week (workweek) AND decision-fatigue.....in planning my upcoming week, I know exactly what I need to wear each day - professional or casual, make-up, no make-up.
Oh my goodness, i can't watch lame or even less than great movies or shows either, I told my husband after he forced me to watch 3 episodes of a show that i felt like i am waisting my life!!! I can't do it anymore, years ago it didnt matter so much. Great video! 👍❤

Hello Amy .. My daily habits are ( except for calendar blocking ) pretty much the same as yours .. & I only wish I had started " giving myself permission " to take myself more seriously .. years ago .. I used to think that if everyone else said I was too old to start learning a new skill .. that they were probably right & now I know they are probably wrong .. I don't think that anything I have tried has been a waste of time .. & almost all of the skills are not in any way financially rewarding .. But if going after the life you want is also about feeling happy .. then the pleasure I had recently when I was able to play a basic drum beat with all four limbs doing different things at the same time .. well I felt So cool .. it put a smile on my face that has lasted inside .. for over a week now .. Money is not the only way to measure happiness .. Big love to you & all your subscribers .. I know that at 63 ish I am not in your usual demographic ... But I have been inspired by your words of wisdom so many times thANK YOU

I wish I had more time in the morning for all the self-care I deserve. I'm waking up at 5 and going to work at 5:45 so there's not much time for me. Fortunately, it'll all change in two months and I'm so looking forward to it ❤️

For the past couple of years I've kind of forgotten how to relax lol 😅 but I definitely need to get better at it because I'm going insane.
Maybe once I figure out how to relax, I'll have the energy outside of my job to get moving on a creative career. It's super weird, but I keep feeling like I shouldn't be allowed to do what makes me happy if I'm not the most perfect at adulting ever (I'm far from it)...so anytime I try, I just feel guilty.

I never heard of Amy before . . . I ordered her book on Amazon and was curious so I looked up her videos. Now I think I am in love with her (virtually) so I need to get busy reading her books and watching her videos.

I've started writing all your tips into a notebook because they are important and though some of them smack me in the face, some of them are important but get lost and muddled in with my own procrastinaty-mind. Now I have a little Amy book. My biggest problem is waking up! I wish i could wake up feeling like I want to get out of bed and not making sleepy excuses to why it'll be fine to just get up 15 minutes before I have to leave vs the 2 hours I've allotted myself.

I right my exercise on my white board calendar and then make a plus symbol next to it when I complete it. When I look at my calendar throughout the work I get to easily see if how on track I am with my goals
