    The Pulse printer is an excellent printer for those who want USA made precision and quality right out of the box. The Pulse printer comes with a “No BS” 1 year warranty and can be extended to two years. Customer service is in the USA and they can be easily reached via phone or email. You may customize your Pulse with different add-ons during purchase, including a custom made aluminum clad chamber. The price is reasonable for a USA made printer backed by MatterHacker support.
    The cons:
    No direct drive, although increased print speed is obtained and you can print nylon at a rate faster than what is maximum rated speed by the filament companies.
    No run-out detection and no easy way to add this. There are printable files available, but no instruction available for adding.
    You may purchase upgraded parts, like the SliceEngineering hotend, but again, no support for adding to the printer. I think MH should help customers install upgrades instead of telling us to figure it out ourselves.
    Usb cable provided is of poor quality, toss it in the trash and purchase foil shielded USB A/B with choked ends.
    The magnetic Garolite print surface works amazing with no glue or polymer adhesives. However, if used with a flexible Buildtak spring-steel base, your nylon prints will literally peel it up off the magnets.
    Lastly, customer service is very good. Do your research prior to purchasing, MH sales support was not fully knowledgeable during my sales call. And when I had a problem with my printer, it took support almost a month to return my email without a phone call as promised.

      USA made means nothing to most people, especially if the thing made there is crap

      Why the hell do people think "Made in USA" is so much better than if it was made in China, Korea, France, Cech Republic, or any other country in the world?
      Normally when I hear someone say "Made in USA" or any other country in an advertisement or promotion video like this, I just think that they are idiots who are too proud of their own country ,and doesn't see what their country would've been if other countries were there to support their country, etc.

    Costs 2k to get the same spec as the mk3s, and even then is Bowden! I say this printer is overpriced and simply doesn’t have much of a reason to be bought

      @Furry Catfish Fillet prusas definitely are on the more expensive side, however it’s definitely more ‘bang for your buck’ than the pulse. This is why I’m so excited that the prusa mini exists, which is definitely worth the price in my opinion

    Does it have network function?

    • @MichaelJHathaway
      @MichaelJHathaway 3 роки тому

      Mine did not come with direct network plugin capability. I have a dedicated computer that runs my Pulse using MatterControl on Linux. I can either operate it locally or remotely control it over the network.

    I bought one of the D series pulse printers back when I was still new to 3D printing. Boy, did I get played. It was a really good printer and still is, but it's WAAAYYY to overpriced for a printer that was missing a lot of features that most printers come with out the box, like an LCD screen and tetherless printing. I dont recommend buying these printers unless they become significantly cheaper. Or just upgrade an Anycubic or Creality printer for cheap that may even work better than these printers.

      Same situation and I agree. You have to be nuts to spend this much on old design. Hell, there are new US made players now that surpass Pulse in value and features. They don't even offer and upgrade solution.

    Bl touch is a old technology

  • @st0mper121

    Lol the price for this is for somebody who dont know no better, Buy a cheap printer with good drivers. get a good E3d hotend for a quarter of the price. Matterhackers is such a rip off anymore. the filament is really poor. was reviewed with the 18$ filament at microcenter and the microcenter filament came out on top. I have a upgraded ender 3 that would rip that thing apart. and with the rapid change that E3d has out you guys cant even come close to my ender3 specks. and i cant come close to your price. even adding a Hemera and a wham bam and a bltouch. or even adding the rapid change to it. How many different print heads can you buy under the price range of that printer?

  • @howlingmine

    1) Never heard of them until now. 2) If it was that "advanced" it would be direct drive. 3) Just buy a Prusa.

    • @RadPuppies
      @RadPuppies 2 роки тому +1

      We have, and I have modded an Ender 3/5 and we have a Prusa MK3S+. We bought the Pulse to be directly compatible out of the box with NylonX with all mods already installed. It does what we paid for.

  • @MrHristoB

    Made in USA!!! OOOO!!! AHHHHH!!!! To be honest, this means absolutely nothing. Made in USA with Chinese parts?? A Prusa clone that's even more overpriced than a Prusa... I'd add a few more quid and grab a Caribou instead.. Or a Bear upgrade... but this.... NO!!!! And if the print quality is like 4:14 - I'll stick to my Tevo..
