I'm so glad to find this. Somewhere, on some dusty VHS tape, I have this version of Maybe I Know. It was the only part of Their week of hosting Post Modern that I managed to tape at the time. Now, through the magic of UA-cam, I'm able to watch all of it these many years later. Life is good.
i cannot BELEIVE that we had a clip of linnell saying "oh daddy" for THIS LONG and we haven't done anything with it

A pair of brilliant young men who seem to have fallen through a time warp from the early 1960s.
I especially liked the weird ranty bit: 5:16

This is so brilliant to see! TMBGs make me feel like I belong and that weirdness is absolutely embraced!
Thaaaank you, can't believe I haven't seen this until now.
Flans looks so strong with that drum! xD But seriously, great find.
TMBG will always be the most sing-a-longable band in the universe💗💗💗
And did they ever record this cover of Maybe I Know?
They definitely did. It's on their 1999 album Long Tall Weekend
There's also a wax cylinder recording of it I'm sure I heard on the Dial-A-Song site years ago.
