I started my locs on damaged hair so I’ve done a few protein treatments and it’s a miracle worker. This stuff is kinda strong so If you ever feel like you need a slight treatment I highly recommend the hair mayonnaise by ORS. I use it before every other retie Your hair is really thriving btw ❤
I agree, Apogee is the truth. I'm a retired Cosmetologist and even when I worked in high end salons I got the clients hip to that treatment. This the only thing that brought my then relaxed hair back after a hair school horror story lol😂. But should only be use 2x max per 30 days. Since it's such an intense treatment. I usually recommend that schedule until I can visibly and tangibly see improvements then once a month. I agree about ORS mayonnaise it's a oldie but goodie product 😉 just don't add the egg if you're using it with Aphogee regimen. Also try the Aphogee keratin 2 min reconstruction it works and is less abrasive that the 2 step treatment
Questions my loctican says I cant use a conditioner. Have you stated why you dont braid and band your hair. Did you ask a loctition about the protein treatment? how did you hear about this treatment. Love how your hair is coming along.
I just don’t care to do it lol. I stopped braiding and banding at like 2 months into my journey. I told my loctician at my most recent retie about the protein treatment and she said the Aphogee was a good brand but commented on how good my hair felt after I did the olaplex treatment so I’m going to be doing both treatments. I’ll do the Aphogee treatment every 6 weeks and the Olaplex treatment at every wash (about every 1-2 weeks). I saw a lot of other loc girls using it and it’s pretty popular in the natural hair community as well.
that protein treatment is like egg whites gets so hard and feels rough after rinsing out. I don't think it is for low porosoty hair. Your hair is similar to mine, but mine may be a little thinner. I think it is normal shedding while going through the locking process.
I recently purchased for a protein treatment on my locs. I used on my daughters hair and it worked very well. Let us know how it worked for your breakage. That’s the same reason I purchased it.
I used No. 0 and No. 3! My loctician only commented on my results and recommended that I continue to use it. I haven’t tried the accompanying shampoo and conditioner.
@@TommieMarie thank you! Your hair looks absolutely beautiful and I know everyone’s journey will be different. But I just started mine 3 weeks ago and if my hair can in any way look similar to yours I will be happy 💜

I wanted to do a few protein treatments in my hair before my loc installation April 5th. I was looking at this too on Amazon .
I think it’s time for me to do one . I saw a recommendation for the ORS mayo conditioner and that one worked well me as well .
I might add the hair mayo to my regime

Hey! Which Olaplex treatment(s) did you loctitian use/recommend?
I used No. 0 and No. 3! My loctician only commented on my results and recommended that I continue to use it. I haven’t tried the accompanying shampoo and conditioner.
