Wow what a pleasant appointment! The bride had a great personality and attitude, plus knew what she wanted, her entourage was super nice and supportive, and a Batman villains themed wedding?! That sounds brilliant, I bet they're a really fun couple! The dress she picked was definitely the right choice too.

Yea for many years they only went up to a 16-18 and only offered a few selections that were kinda mundane. But it seems like they finally expanded to 18-24. They still dont have a lot of options but better than what they did have.

It also helped that she knew enough to have a larger budget for a great dress - especially when you are not a "standard" size, to get something that actually FITS from the start, ya gotta bring the $$$, unfortunately.
I love that she picked the first dress, it looked the best on her. Really fun theme for her wedding too!

the first half of this video should be shown to every person who’s going to help a bride find her dress. Both friends continually re-centered the discussion on how the bride felt in the dress, helped her clarify those thoughts by echoing them back to her as questions and keeping opinions honest but brief and always in response to what she was expressing. You can put someone into the dress you think is perfect for them but if they don’t feel right in it, no matter how perfect it is, it won’t look right on them.
I cannot express how disappointed I was that we did not get a preview of what the Batman villain themed wedding was like!

The second bride said she didn't want to be pulling the dress up all night. If you don't want to worry about that, get a dress with STRAPS!! I don't understand why they insist on putting the huge majority of the brides in strapless dresses. And not even referring to larger sizes; a lot of skinny women spend so much time hiking their dress up all the time, and the dresses look like they're slipping down anyway. Plus, with a larger bust like some have, I would never, ever be comfortable without straps, just for my own peace of mind!
That said, Katie definitely picked the best of the 3 dresses! If she wanted to look "floaty", the uneven tiers with the pointy hems on them is perfect! I really did like it better with the thinner belt they put on her at first, but any kind of belt really did flatter her.
I think there is much less choice if you want straps. I believe strapless a line is the most popular style. Guess they could be added

I actually thought about this idea, i even found a cat woman wedding dress that could be custom made to fit. But i ended up going gothic 20s glam instead.

This was such a great appointment. ♥️ The brides Entourage is very supportive and takes her feelings and opinions about the dress into account. Her consultant is also spot on and deserves some credit too. I feel like I’m watching Jo and Al 😊
She's unapologetically herself, is making a wedding that is fun and matches their interest as a couple - honestly just one of the nicest appointments on this show.

Sarah was the perfect consultant to help Katie. She's young and fun loving and totally understood what the bride was looking for. I can't see any of the other consultants clicking as well with Katie as Sarah did.
The friends were awesome too. They weren't overbearing or negative and offered their opinions in a respectful, non-critical manner.
This is one of the best appointments I've seen in a long time.

damn sarah really knocked it out of the park on the first dress! i was already sold on it the first time she tried it on but with the crinoline and the blingier belt, it's just perfect. irresistible. absolutely flawless. i'm so jealous that she's gonna look so FABULOUS on her wedding day!

Seeing plus sized brides at Kleinfeld really highlights how much better the Curvy Bride Boutique ladies are at dressing larger brides. They would have never put dress #2 on her, fitting the way it did.
They're a specially store. I would imagine, being in wealthy Manhattan selling very expensive gowns, most of their brides are not plus size.
