The difference between Bryce and CJ is that Houston used that years draft to build a team around him and then went out and got established veterans to continue his development the panthers on the other hand just threw Bryce on the field and said go win us a championship

The thing is though.. the new GM Dan Morgan took it upon himself to sign offensive lineman to actually protect Bryce, unlike his first year. And for the first 2 weeks, Bryce has had QB protection, but he hasn't shown improvements. He's broken from his first year, confidence is shot. Yeah what was he talking about? He’s forty something years old, he’s talked about a lot..
@@Dats_dopeThat rookie QBs aren't being developed properly and not given a fair shake. They're thrown to the wolves and expected to immediately perform. This wasn't the norm during Bradys era. Even when Peyton was drafted #2 his coach and Front Office expected him to struggle early on.
@Dats_dope coaches aren't putting young players in the best position to succeed by playing them too early
@@HoodedAlchemythen they gonna have to come down on those rookie contracts. They not paying them to sit back and watch. I’m not saying I don’t agree with u but that’s what it is
Before the season even started, Cam Newton said, it was bad In Carolina quietly… He warned Bryce it is a s show in Carolina and you better be ready! He said it a nice way.
Yep
Bryce was the issue and Dalton just proved it with the same supporting cast.
That’s because dalton was literally a former good starting Qb and a long term vet. Of course he can play. However you can’t expect a young Qb who is a project to make that team good. Especially when you kill his confidence and goes from having good weapons and blocking to no weapons at all.
@@jamariohiggins815 That’s the thing a first overall pick isn’t supposed to be a project. He’s supposed to be able to hold his own, that’s why he was picked before literally any and everybody else. You can’t keep using the no weapons excuse if those same players made big plays in this game and the oline was ranked second overall in pass protection and only gave up 4 pressures. Nobody was saying he’s a project at the draft last year but now all of a sudden he is?
@@Sbcmlg28247 bruh did you not see the reports on Bryce prior to the draft everyone knew he wasn't gonna be a immediate breakout talent. Tbh if it wasn't for CJ then everyone wouldn't be so hard on him. Like what idiot didn't think Bryce wasn't gonna be a project. The dude is undersized, was going the dang panthers, wasn't known for having a arm, and who hasn't seen Alabama QB history. Just Because you draft someone number 1 and expect them
To produce doesn't mean you don't go out and get him actual help. Plus plenty of people said Bryce shouldn't go number one they even had cj going 1st but some reason Carolina took Bryce which was already weird.
@@jamariohiggins815 Go watch any draft reports from last year, no analyst called him a project. They maybe had their doubts about him but nobody said that. Todd McShay called him a generational talent and everyone was talking about him being the Steph Curry of football and a point guard on the field. Maybe some fans had their doubts but he was the consensus number 1 prospect of that draft class pretty much since he won the Heisman. Go look at all the draft projections and big boards for last year almost all of them have Bryce number 1. He got help this year and played awful in the first two weeks. You can make all the excuses in the world but the NFL is simple, either you produce or you lose your spot. He didn’t produce and Dalton did, so the weapons weren’t the problem it was him.
@@jamariohiggins815Idiots like Todd McShay, PFF, and Mel Kiper who had him at the top of their big boards. They called him the best playmaker in the draft, a point guard on the field, and a great on field processor. Nobody takes projects at the first overall pick. It’s supposed to be a sure thing. The mainstream media loved Bryce and had him going first to the Bears even before Carolina made the trade. You can’t make the argument he wasn’t given help when Carolina made all their off-season moves specifically to help him. The online graded out as top 5 through the first three weeks and only gave up four pressures vs the chargers and he still couldn’t move the ball. Dalton took those same weapons and threw for over 300 and 3 tds and even last year he threw fit over 300 and 2 tds in his one start so the supporting cast isn’t the problem if they can produce with someone else at the helm, it’s the qb.

I mean it’ll probably stay the same Ocho points where on the panthers not being the best situation for Bryce. They barely have any weapons, he’s already not the best Qb, and they had a bad history with younger qbs looking to develop their game. He can’t get the damn ball to the WRs. Don’t do that Ocho
I’ll agree that yes it was dysfunction that led to the revolving door of quarterbacks up UNTIL we drafted Bryce Young. And that’s the distinction right there, is that Bryce Young is not to the same caliber of Darnold or Mayfield or P.J. Walker, or cam Newton, Bridgewater even. It’s kind of tricky because the rest of the team HAS improved, our line only let up 4 pressures on over 30 drop backs, but the film don’t lie. Leggette and Thielen were wide open most of the game against the chargers or were going to be had Bryce not thrown the check immediately. The Chargers ran a cover zero and Bryce still wasn’t able to complete a pass, that’s all in his head but at a certain point this is the NFL, it’s not for the faint of heart and you got to be tough and that’s that, no pity.
Andy Dalton is about the only guy in the league right now with the skill set and the veteran leadership to turn things around and actually get this team playing up to their potential. Now if this was a year and a half ago and we’re benching quarterbacks and changing up the ranks because Tepper is dissatisfied, then 100% it’s Tepper‘s fault, but at this point I can’t all be Tepper‘s fault forever.
I disagree with a few points that Ocho stated that stemmed from the question of who Bryce has around him . This season, he has an offensive line that is ranked above-average, and better than DAL, NOS, and MIN . He currently has a receiver that had 1000+ receiving yds last season, a promising rookie receiver, and another receiver that possibly would've had 1000 receiving yds, if he played all his games, but still had at least 700 . Compare the first two games this season, and last season, Bryce played better behind a line that ranked 29th last season, compared to a revamped line that was #5 in pass protection just last week (despite giving up 4 sacks which 2 was Bryce's fault) . His QBR is under 13 in both games this season . There's no way we're sitting here, and saying that Bryce doesn't deserve to be benched .
Chad speaking facts its not just B Young he has no weapons
As a Dolphins fan I think more teams need to admit mistakes with drafted qbs sooner rather than later.
While I agree but still could've given him a couple more games then try and move him in the off-season I think he can still be a solid starter
Amen.
@@evileyevalaus yeah but obviously they are also seeing something in practice that let them know he is not him. I don't have a problem with it. I believe more teams in need of a qb should just keep continuously throwing crap at the wall until something sticks.

What’s around him?
Exactly what’s around him. Name one elite player ? Name a dog he has around him ?
@@lendesdail4304 adam thielen open all night 🤷
@@TheGuyCalledXbro Adam thielin best season was 2017 lol he’s a number 3. Dt guy in anybody else team. Like ocho said we don’t have elite talent on this team that defense line up and say watch him.
@@TheGuyCalledX stop it my guy, who the hell is that😭😭 I said name elite level talent that Carolina has. Not average
So if Dalton proves the weapons around the offense work this Sunday they gunna own their bad positions they taking, especially Ocho? Carolina needs to evaluate their other players on offense and currently can't with Bryce. Talking heads like this have such an easy job. As a Panther fan it makes me sick. I'll just remind ppl the last time Dalton filled in for Bryce last year he balled out too with less weapons than we have now!
i love people talking about the benching who haven't watched any panthers games. bryce is broken. he's terrified. putting him out there makes it impossible to compete. y'all need to go watch some games and not highlights and box scores
Andy Dalton came in last year behind the same offensive line & same receivers y’all love to say “ain’t no help” & had 361 yards with 2 TD’s. Please spare us in Carolina with the excuses. We just watched buddy complete 18 passes for 84 yards.
And it's people like you that has the Panthers believing they're actually good. The team is not good at all and you know it. Stop being delusional
Exactly
@@bigj6706huh?
Has Bryce ever been the best qb in Carolina. I bet Bryce gets outplayed by Dalton.
@@bigj6706 huh…what the hell are you talking about
As a Charlotte native...both Baker nd Sam left Carolina nd are undefeated right now!!🤣🤷🏿♂️
"insubordinate, ion even know what datsht mean" 😂
11:57 "He couldn't play dead in a western." Unc where the hell you come up with this stuff! 🤣🤣
If Bryce would spend more time in the weight room, film study and holding extra practices with his receivers and runningbacks instead of on sandy beaches with sand between his toes and shopping malls and girls, then he might get somewhere.
That all sounds good, but that team as whole is trash, it’s not on him. They were bad before he got there, and still have that going.
This is why I don't believe in giving up all those assets for a rookie. When a team does that it will take years to build a winning team.
they're going to look real dumb when the Red Rifle does way better. he honestly can't possibly do any worse than Bryce did. and if these fools actually watched the replays he'd see how wide open the people he missed were, or how bad Bryce's decision making was.
Bryce can’t see over the line!
said the same thing WRs been open and he has had a clean pocket bro is just not hitting
nobody not saying he cant play better than bryce, but how far is a andy led panthers gonna go??? at some point regardless of the qb play, its a bad constructed team
Talk to them bruh. I understand people not wanting to watching the Panthers but it annoys me when they talk about the team like they actually know what they're talking about and just regurgitate narratives.
@@unc54 They just watch the highlights off NFL network , not the actual games.
😅 I've watched countless clips of Nightcap butvI ain't never seen Ocho this passionate! And the end when Unc hit him with that 80/20 😂😂 Luvit!
I’m looking forward to hearing Cam speak on this too
He will probably say he is better then that Pipsqueak.
@@roris5882 Cam spoke on Bryce a year ago, and if you go back and watch the video, he was 100% correct!
You can tell they don’t look at the games weekly. Even though the panthers have been bad for a couple of years. Bryce has been bad period. You can't evaluate ever one else if bryce is that bad.
Looking at the upcoming schedule, I see them winning only 1 or 2 games. They are not beating the other NFC teams except Bears or Commanders. Commanders may give them the run for their money in MD though.
Johnathan mingo and Xavier Legette
I can tell over half the people commenting haven’t watched a single panthers game this year or last. Bryce has thrown into double coverage, missed WIDE open reads and missed very easy throws. He literally jumps to throw the ball😂

Facts
tippy toes!!!
As a Panthers fan I agree, it’s too much tape showing he is not the starting QB
That’s true but you’re going to be off if your line is bad. I believe he lacks confidence but it’s understandable because look how trash they are. The panthers not putting out good tape anywhere.
We all needed to hear that one Ocho
I still think Bryce is a great QB and is going to be greater. I think everyone is missing the fact that this young man is still a kid. He may be 23 and making alot of money but to get booed at home and blown out 2 weeks in a row can drop anybodys confidence. I like the decision by the coach. Allow Bryce to step back for a while to regroup and gather his thoughts. Watch Dalton play a few games to get an idea of the type of production he needs to have.
Thanks for being so positive Bernard! I love Bryce Young! He played for Alabama. I am from there! He is a wonderful young man. He will be alright. He comes from a great family and he is very intelligent. Regardless of what happens, he has his money and hopefully his confidence will come back as well. He will figure it out! 👍🏽👏😎❤️🩵🧡💜🤍💚🤎💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great comment!
The Panthers should have gotten him at the very least a run game. But Bryce never showed any grit . I never felt that he made the panthers competitive even though they were losing. I remember Burrows first year. The Bengals were getting beat but you felt like Burrow was fighting and keeping them competitive . When you see that from your qb then you can say , hey lets get him a real wideout or two ect. 10:02
He got thrown into a terrible situation but ultimately he's just too small (in my opinion) to be a good NFL QB. He looks like a High schooler out there.
Kyler Murray is small, no excuse
@@IWill_iTVKyler is short but Bryce is small
@@IWill_iTV Kyler is naturally stout tho. Bryce is short & frail.
@IWill_iTV Kyler Murray is a athletic freak. Bryce Young is just a guy who flashed good processing in college.
That processing is non existent in the NFL
But how? They both are 5’ 10” and Kyler weighs only 3 pounds more, that must be a mighty 3 pounds lol
i gotta say this nobody every said Nico Collins was at top WR before CJ got there nobody said Tank Dell was going to be what he was before he got hurt tell the truth Bryce isn't hitting open receivers
Exactly the narrative was Bryce is set up to succeed when he got drafted. He doesnt create plays. He takes a 2 step drop and stands there. Idk why he doesn't try to create anything. Yes the panthers organazation is horrible but he needs to improvise and not just stand there and throw ducks. I truly thought he would look better. He didn't change anything in the off season. Just a 2 step drop and that won't work In NFL. He's not done but he has to show more I hope the best for Bryce
I love how Chad aint afraid to be himself he is a Big part of Nightcap although he doesnt get the credit he deserves at times he makes the show he is very humble and always gives credit to others.
QBs since 2018 -
Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke, Kyle Allen, Will Grier, Teddy Bridge Water, PJ walker, Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield
This aged well🤣
Ocho has not been watching the Panthers games it’s obvious
Dave Tepper and the Panthers are the biggest joke of a franchise in professional sports. They literally did the opposite, drafted a QB at 1 traded away CMC and DJ Moore, his ONLY weapons. Did not focus on the o line and traded any sort of talent on the defensive side to help the offense out. Tepper is so bad it's like he is doing this on purpose. Why would anyone willingly go there?
Been a Panther fan since inception. No matter what level of confidence Bryce had or has..that dude hasn’t shown any glimpse of anything special…no speed, vision , accuracy, scrambling. Nothing. Even with a decent team he doesn’t look like someone who can elevate a team.
Ocho making me emotional hearing the passion he has with the way he speaks about this situation, never change ocho!
“It came out of nowhere”
Unc: “Actually it didn’t if you go back and look at your play, it ain’t come out of nowhere”
Tepper used "influence" to draft him, and now he is allowing his personnel to coach and make football decisions. Smh I feel bad for Bryce. This isn't his fault.
By this commentary, I can tell Ocho hasn’t seen Bryce play. Bryce clearly wasn’t ready.
I swear lol
He doesn't even know who our receivers are but he'll comment on the quality of it. Bryce is missing wide open ass throws. And comparing him to Kyler? Y'all wake me up when Bryce can run and throw at the same speed as a freak athlete like Kyler
Exactly bro. Bryce is not good
@@NoNot-g7iyou sit on the couch every week. It is not that easy to make these throws.

I paused after he said it to comment i juss heard ocho I’m ab to pull dis car over 😂😂👍🏾
Unc & Ocho, I've been a diehard Panthers fan since their inception and I love y'all, but you're *partly*wrong on this imo.
Tepper *absolutely* is the problem in Carolina, no doubt. But I was in the "give Bryce a better O-Line before you evaluate him," camp last year.
He has an uncharacteristically GOOD O-Line *this year* compared to automatic sacks on 3rd down last year. However, he's missing wide open guys and forcing balls into double coverage for INTs every game because he's feeling the pressure knowing that he would get benched this year if he didn't put up better numbers.
I agree he's from a winning culture at Bama and he isn't used to losing, but some college guys just can't handle the pressure in the NFL. Bryce might be one of them.
Bryce is just not an NFL QB *right now.* The thing is though he might end up only being mediocre at best simply by judging his decision making. The all time greats often times made something out of nothing on bad teams. Bryce doesn't seem to have that type of ability because his confidence is shot like you said, but I think it's also partly because he's simply not a great QB.
Unfortunately, Bryce is part of the problem, but at least not the main part of it. That's Tepper. Anyway I love your show. All the best.
Texans fan we built around Cj stroud and now look at CJ STROUD. Bryce young can be a great QB if they would have done like we did for CJ STROUD. TEXANS SWARM GO TEXANS
