So happy to see these new episodes released. My wife and I lived in the UK years ago and became hooked on Grand Designs. Kevin Mccloud’s knowledge, witt and humor are a joy to watch. We are no longer in the UK, but when we pull up these episodes on the big screen at home and sit back to enjoy them, we are taken back to those wonderful days in the UK.
Paul reminds me of myself. Impatient and wanting things to get done yesterday, if not last year. Anyway, its amazing what Paul and Amy have been able to achieve despite of Paul's struggles with his health. Amy is also really supportive, and it is on this support that Paul is able to go flat out on everything he does. Amazing, I totally loved this episode.
Paul's work has been incredibly inspiring to me. Thank you for another wonderful episode. Additionally, Kevin McCloud's heart-warming narration and captivating hosting made it even more special. 👏🏼
Me and my Irish ex wife used to watch the episodes quite frequently. Watching these again in india makes me miss her a lot, couldn't resist watching again.
The interior decor is what one might imagine of people who have come into money. It is nouveaux riches - even somewhat tacky, but you know what, I don't care. They have slogged and worked for their success and that decor is their expression of it and they deserve it (the success). Above all else, it is their home. Not mine. Not yours. Not anyone else's. Good for them!!
I just discovered this channel and I love to see full episodes being posted. This was one of my most favourite tv programs on Dutch television back when I still watched linear tv. I can now revisit this everytime I want to!
My goodness, what a home. simply spectacular design driven by the most ambitious hardworking determined yet humble guy, well done to him and his lovely family.

Forsure. Agree.
This build is one of the very best endeavors I have ever seen on Grand Designs, built by a great couple. I found this episode quite uplifting.
"It's advertised as a cigar" was hilarious
Imagine building such a monstrosity without contracts. Those are some real friends right there!

13 months for the UK is astonishing.

Wl'What drives ppl to build a house like this' 4
to live in?A very good question.
That John Newton house...haven't they heard of upkeep? Would it kill them to clean or re-finish the disgusting outside surfaces?
THANK YOU FOR POSTING
It came out nice
oh no.. the marble floor tiles are rectangular.
lovely couple, but the house just a bit too kitschy and over the top...
Nice house, shame about the sofa and cushions...😂😂😂 ghastly
No style, that's it, everywhere..
Was expecting Kevin to mention the ‘Queen of Curves’ Zaha Hadid…
I am a bit surprised that there is no steel in the concrete foundation.
Was expecting Kevin to mention Melnikov House (Moscow)
People make building a house seem so complicated. Just close your eyes for 18 months and youll find the house complete😅
3d design at 4:34
It does not look cozy and homey at all, and tacky with so many elements.
Bipolar?
congrats! you had real human kids, not dogs.. dogs are not your children, simple as..
Setting aside your judgement of peoples choices, what did you think of the architecture and the actual build result?... probably more apt.
