Schipperkes are incredible dogs. Ours is extremely intelligent and curious and she makes a great guard dog. She knows exactly where people come in and out of the house from and always faces the door no matter what room she is in. She is also very good at telling friendly guests from strangers outside of our house.
That was quite the fallacious leap you made there, Kaylin. Having a preference looks-wise, doesn't mean you care about the look more than the dog. Illogical.
Two things Jen: 1. It's up to the breeder and the owner whether or not a dog should keep a natural look, not the entire world. 2. As long as the process is done in a humane manner, why does it bother people that a dog's ears and tail is cropped and docked?
That is the wrong pronunciation.... This videos stating that as the correct pronunciation should be removed for misinformation. The correct pronunciation from Wikipedia is: (/ˈskɪpərkiː/) or (skipper-Key). I need to be compensated for every time I mis-pronunciated my dog's breed because of those videos.

I got my schipperke yesterday :D
Schipperke with tails look much more awesome than without
Schipperkes may have tails that are naturally short, and it's a pity that it is the tail you care more about, and not the dog itself.
