I believe that this is one of the best of Slim's albums. Great poem by Will H. Ogilvie. Where would we be without the like of Lawson, Patterson and Ogilvie, when he was here.
This man appeared to enjoy singing his songs more than the folks listening. shame he died so young. otherwise, we would have many more albums of wonderful music.
This would have to one of my all time fav Slim songs, even though it's hard to have favourites when they all hold special meaning to Aussies who grew up listening to Slim's music
That painting on the cover was painted by Ron Edwards (1930-2008) from Cairns, Queensland. Ron was a great fella and multi talented...leather worker, artist and an expert on bush crafts. He even built his house out of mud bricks he hand made. I think Ron may have been cast from the same mold as R.M. Williams.

Slim Dusty's songs are really great , with a message in them . Although he is no longer with us, he left us some great songs. R.I.P., Slim.
