      Definitely great for beginners but also for experienced XC riders. Great little trail centre! Just not ideal for people like me who just prefer going downhill now!

    My local trails. feels like the red route is 70% uphill and sprinkled with Sand.

      Chralie legg definitely fun for a blast around! I’d probably spend the whole day on the downhill section though as I’m not big on XC these days!

    I’m going in a couple of days and I’m going with my family I’m a very good at going downhill and my family have no experience so what’s the best trail for that

    • @RiderUnknownUK
      @RiderUnknownUK  5 років тому

      To be honest the red and the blue are both very doable routes even with little experience. Maybe do the blue first and see how they get on though. For yourself it might be worth a trip over to the “downhill” section for a bit ; it’s not steep and there aren’t any big jumps, but it has a few good little trails that have a bit more about them than the red/blue routes.

    When I last did the jumps I had to go to tornado alley to get to the jumps. Any quicker route that cuts off time to get to the jumps?

    • @RiderUnknownUK
      @RiderUnknownUK  6 років тому

      Eddie's Adventures I’m sure there are - if I remember rightly, I took some of the fire roads one time. Worth putting Trailforks on your phone to see the quickest way to get there.

    great video! i just found you on youtube. Have you got any suggestions of where to ride in the east yorkshire area as i havent rode anywhere different?

    • @RiderUnknownUK
      @RiderUnknownUK  7 років тому

      Matty Cook Hi Matty 👋 Thanks for dropping in! East Yorkshire is just about the most lacking place in trails in Yorkshire. Bit of a shame but hey ho.
      There’s a decent ride to be had at Dalby Trail centre or out on the Yorkshire Wolds if cross country is more your thing.
      If you’re after technical stuff, get out to Sheffield, North York Moors or Yorkshire Dales (all within an hour and a half for some serious good riding).
      I’m quietly confident there’s some good riding out near Thixendale because of the hills, but as of yet I’ve not tested any.
      I’m based in Market Weighton and the old railway line that stretches to Beverley is a good stretch of the legs but there’s nothing technical about it. Otherwise, there’s a few tiny spots near South Cave and Welton that aren’t bad for an hour of fun. Whereabouts are you and do you have transport? You’re always welcome to tag along with us some time 🤙

      To The Trail I’m living in south cave at the moment and struggling to find a place to build new trails. I’ll make sure to check out all these places soon though. Cheers!

      Matty Cook Just down the road then! At the top end of South Cave (on the way to Market Weighton) there’s an old quarry down a road on the right. The woods and the quarry aren’t a bad ride for a bit of a mess about.

    What was the app you launched? Do you have any tips on any decent apps to use that offer trails and maps for them?

    • @RiderUnknownUK
      @RiderUnknownUK  6 років тому

      Gavin Hossack Trailforks is the app. It’s great and pretty much the only app I use for biking (Strava is the other but I don’t really use it). Well worth a download.

    That video quality is simply superb! So smooth. Really like the more Vlog style video, it creates a more real good vibe and it's chilled. I love the color of your bike! Such a nice turquoise, is it a Yeti?I always drool over Yeti's! Out of curiosity how long do you get out of a GoPro battery? as I'm using Knock-off camera's and the battery only last about 40 minutes :( You should upload your rides to Strava more I'd love to see the file of where you're riding and maybe if you could edit in the overlay onto the video(I've no idea how to do this myself trying to figure it out!) That would be so sick I think!!

      Progress Bee Athlete Sean Lynch Cheers! The gimbal makes a massive difference and the vlog style is quite fun, just need to get a bit more used to it.
      It’s not a Yeti but it’s pretty much the same colour. It’s a Santa Cruz Bronson. Rides like a dream.
      GoPro battery lasts at least an hour and a half. I run 2 GoPros most of the time (one in the gimbal and one on a tripod) and carry 6 batteries to swap in and out throughout the day. I pretty much never use more than 3 batteries & the full 6 lasted me a full weekend at MTBMeetup. Well worth getting a GoPro and there’s some bargains to be had on eBay (GoPro 4 is the business - sound is better than the 5).
      Got myself a bike computer now to record my Strava so my rides will all start to be recorded. Interesting idea to do some sort of overlay update. Will have to have a think about that one. Cheers!

    Great for training and learning jumps in the jump part, but to call this part 'downhill section' is kinda embarrassing.

    • @possle
      @possle 4 роки тому

      Sherwood pines is more or less all flat. Not like you can get a rampage route in there is it 😅

      No, exactly. Even more of a reason why it's embarrassing to call said section 'downhill.'
