Why is Alex G so good? He makes me want to put on a yellow raincoat and go out into the sun. He makes me regret my lack of regret. It's like he has his finger on the pulse of what it means to be 14½ when self awareness dawns and suddenly you want to process every existential crisis you've had up until that point but you've kept them all under blankets of juvenile ignorance. Alex G is like stubbing your toe and saying "Ow" 30 minutes later. He's like a forgotten mirage of torrential snowfall that now remembered, is comforting. He has probably more unreleased material than released and it's all pretty impressive. I don't know why he's so good and it's probably to select ears only. You've got to wonder if the stars in the night sky really like to be gawked at. I dunno, but sometimes I wonder if this music even likes being listened to.

alex g creates songs that just know how to comfort you. The comfort you would give to your younger self, wrap your arms around them and tell them it’s all going to be okay. His songs sting. Manages to push all the right buttons triggering things you forgotten, things you thought you were better off without. Allows you to remember. You need to allow the trigger to be pulled and alex g is the one who shoots. His songs pierce ur heart then envelops it in warmth. I can’t express how much I appreciate his art, it paints me, who i am as a person. He composes all my thoughts into his lyrics. Is it just me hearing the comfort I seek or him providing the comfort we all need? whether it is I appreciate every little bit of it; a best friend that understands me to my core.

Alex G, is literally the reason i found happiness. Yes lyrics arent really positive or charming, but the music and his voice altogether just makes me forget about everything. There is this really nostalgic, friendly, earthy sound in all his songs that i just cant get enough of.
