Great to see the boys all sing together. Such beautiful harmonies. One of my favorite Christmas songs. Thanks for your love of HomeFree and spreading the love of Christ with the world. 🎄🥰

This beautiful arrangement is "so Chris"! His chord transitions and harmonics have a real style stamp, and they've turned this classic into a new masterpiece. Thanks, Grandma for bringing it to the fore. I love seeing Chris in the lead, and seeing him and Chance singing together. Thank you for sharing.

LOVE this arrangement--especially the bell tones and Chris' and Chance's duet. The clarity of every voice is just magnificent!!

Love Chris' arrangement of this. Filmed in the caves under downtown St Paul, MN. Such amazing harmonies. The only time that Chris and Adam Chance sing together in a video. Chris' arrangement of Angels We Have Heard on High is also fabulous. That one is on the Home Free channel. Chris left to pursue his own interests and is a very successful composer, arranger, producer and solo artist. He also now has a new group called Cypress Fyre, which has an album coming out in January.

Thank you so much for reacting to this, Matt. I listen to it a LOT during the holidays. It always ministers greatly. Thank you very much for your comments at the end, after Chris talked about what was going on at that time. He's been doing a LOT of stuff since back then, and I see that others have already mentioned some of them. I don't know if you've ever seen the video he talked about, that features his song, "Moving On." I would highly recommend it. I'll go through some of his newer stuff and send in a couple more requests from them, as I can. Thanks again for this one! 😀

How wonderful is it that they are here with the six of them. That's what I love about Chris Rupp and Home Free, the friendship, no competition and respect for each other. So that they can always work together. Maybe that's why what Home Free does always touches me so much. Because I like the music, no matter what they sing, feels so real. The love and friendship which is so important. But as always this sounds great and beautiful! Chris Rupp and Home Free so talented men!
I think Chris has a voice that can really "tell" the song. A nice voice to listen to

You must react to Home Free's version of O Holy Night. This was before Chance, so Chris is part of the group. It will give you chills!

Chris Rump founded Home Free and brought them to what we know today but decided to go on his own and I think he knew that this chapter of his life was done, I believe that he knows that he built the best a capella group out there and in his soul he's good. Great reaction man.

Just a bit of trivia: "What Child is This" is the same tune as "Green Sleeves" (not uncommon for older songs (i.e. "My Country Tis of Thee" is the same tune as "God Save the King"). I love their rendition of this hymn and it's one of the few times that Chris Rupp and Adam Chance were in a video together (see also "House Party" and "White Christmas"). Thanks for playing this - God bless.

Chris has many musical interests and he felt he needed to leave in order to explore them.

Chris left because he felt God was calling him to be a solo artist, and he's been very successful too.

Chris Left the Group to do Gospel music and I think I read some where he is starting his own Christian acapella group. Not a Christmas song but Chris and Tim together sing "Long Black Train". If you have never heard it, it is a Christian song.

Chris Rupp is an excellent musician. He left because he wanted to branch out a bit more and he's done a lot of solo, had a couple more groups and a lot of collaborations. (You know the beatboxer, Adam is his brother, right).
Your comment about the King of kings reminded me of another Christmas song We Three Kings. It's sung by the couple the Hound and the Fox, featuring Tim Foust. It's a very well done version of the song.
