I always loved Felicity Kendal! I've seen her in 3 plays in London many years ago, and I recorded about 10+ episodes of 'Solo' on a videotape. Trouble is, who the hell still has video recorders & players? So I cherish the memories, but would love to see all or most of the series now again. Of all the British comedies of the 1980s "Solo' was the ONLY one, in my opinion, that was NOT over-acted and the only one where the humor was pleasantly subtle and didn't feel as though it had hit you on the head with a sledge hammer. Of course, I won't name the shows, but check for yourselves. Bravo for uploading this. thanks.
It was so well written and observed by the incomparable Carla Lane. A greatly missed friend and gifted writer. It was also a joy working opposite Felicity Kendall. It is available on DVD.
I loved this series and this is probably my favourite scene. I adored Gemma and loved the relationship between Sebastian and Gemma. Many years later, I even got an MG midget as a bachelor in my early 30's as a way of copying Sebastian's personality!
Fortunately, you can but the whole series of SOLO on DVD . I really enjoyed playing Sebastian and acting opposite Felicity. It was written by a wonderful writer and greatly missed friend Carla Lane.
