You have to be also cautious when doing such deals. You might end up having a lemon. From what I know from my sources, cars which have issues when they do the dealer PDI i.e. repainted panels, repaired bumpers or stock rejected by other due to some issues are sold at discounted prices. The manufacturer passes on the discount for damage in transit.
Last Wednesday i purchased hyundai exter ex for 6.36L on road(HR) the ex showroom on the car was 6.16L I just made booking with 2 different dealers in my city They both fought like crazy for the sale 1st quotation was 6.96L on road I saw it reduced to 6.36L Within 2 days by both of them Finally I took delivery from the guy who was nicer and less pushy Yes Now I believe you can bargain a price even on new cars

Shubham, I did something similar seven years ago. By visiting every showroom, I create fresh quote for my car with a 10k discount on the previous quote.I ended up getting a 40k discount on the on-road price.

All of this works only when you buy a car and a variant that is not doing good in numbers. i20 CVT clearly falls in that category. Also, the parchi system may have worked there, but In Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP belt, these dealers work in unison. Forget parchi, once you quote that X dealer has given this this discount, all they'll tell you is F yourself 😂 They'll easily call out the bluff. And this is for nearly all mass market brands with Maruti being an exception, where the delta between the dealers can go max upto 15-20k.

Would you please ask him how did he make them agree to have the insurance done from outside.

But at least you can take inspiration from him and do it on your level and get a good deal, don't wander around the country for discounts, but atleast in your city, or within 25-30km you can look out and maybe get something good enough, he is in sales, so it can be hard for ys to use such tactics, but you can talk and negotiate the dealerships who are desperate to reach the quote and get lucky

I was shocked ki abhi toh bargaining bhi nhi ki aur tab bhi direct 50K. Then i came to know that ab i20 ki sales bahut kam ho chuki hai.....people are more willing to buy compact SUVs like Venue, Exter etc that's why there is huge discount on hatchbacks. Aur vaise bhi yrrr i20 bahut purani car ho chuki hai.... its same old boring.... and personally its not worth to buy in 2024 jab already kaafi new cars hai market me....... Then finally i decided to go for Punch AMT bs6 ph 2 and was able to get 50-60K discounts just becoz of hyundai's new launch Exter......I tried almost all dealers near my area....aur unko bhidwadiya and that's how i soared these discounts.
The inventory on cars at dealerships is at an all time high right now which is resulting in steep discounts being offered. There is no magic. It only takes a persistent man to crack the deal.

Example: Exshowroom is 10lakh RTO would be 14% for bangalore so just these two components it would be 11,40,000 But dealers say that we will offer discount on 10 Lakh ex showroom but tax will not be revised and will stay at 14% of 10,00,000 because they have registered on RTO portal etc. Is this logic true? I heard this across nearly 10 to 12 dealerships either they all are telling the truth or is the actual rule like that? Need your help on this. I was shocked ki abhi toh bargaining bhi nhi ki aur tab bhi direct 50K. Then i came to know that ab i20 ki sales bahut kam ho chuki hai.....people are more willing to buy compact SUVs like Venue, Exter etc that's why there is huge discount on hatchbacks. Aur vaise bhi yrrr i20 bahut purani car ho chuki hai.... its same old boring.... and personally its not worth to buy in 2024 jab already kaafi new cars hai market me....... Then finally i decided to go for Punch AMT bs6 ph 2 and was able to get 50-60K discounts just becoz of hyundai's new launch Exter......I tried almost all dealers near my area....aur unko bhidwadiya and that's how i soared these discounts.

Hi Pranay, when checked across car dealers and asked discount on ex showroom they gave a weird logic on the taxes are fixed.
Example: Exshowroom is 10lakh RTO would be 14% for bangalore so just these two components it would be 11,40,000
But dealers say that we will offer discount on 10 Lakh ex showroom but tax will not be revised and will stay at 14% of 10,00,000 because they have registered on RTO portal etc.
Is this logic true?
I heard this across nearly 10 to 12 dealerships either they all are telling the truth or is the actual rule like that? Need your help on this. When I am getting the Ex showroom discounted why should I pay same tax of undiscounted ex showroom?
