Because Uzbek and Turkish are different dialects of the same language :) Turkic languages are divided into 3 main branches: 1. Kipchak, 2. Oghuz, 3. Uyghur. Kazakh and Kyrgyz belong to the Kipchak group. Azerbaijani, Turkish (in Turkey) and Turkmen is in Oghuz group. Uzbek and Uyghur are in the Uyghur group. In fact, these (Uzbek, Uyghur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tatar, Turkmen etc.) are not a "language", but different "dialects" of the same language. When it comes to Turkish, the language spoken in Turkey comes to mind, entirely due to the name of the country. For example, if we took the name of our country from our tribe and made it Oghuzistan, like the Kazakhs, then the spoken language would be called Oghuz. When someone tells you that Uzbeks or Kazhaks or Kyrgyzs speak Turkish too, they do not mean Turkey Turkish. A higher category, Turkic language, is meant. When I speak to an Uzbek person or read something in Uzbek, how can Uzbek and Turkish be a different "language" if I understand nearly 90% of them? :)
I came to turkey not speaking the language, Istanbul felt so crowded by so empty because I couldn't talk to anyone. it seems like the younger generation are more capable to speak both english and Turkish compared to older people. I think it's essential to both parties to learn the language because knowing one extra language will never hurt to me both of them are relatively easy with practice-best wishes to Turkish people from Yemen.

I hope to learn the language and make sentace even in different turkish dialect than Qashqai one. Thank you for the post. Ardeshir Azadmanesh(Galehzan- Qashqai).

Thank god I speak Uzbek and this is much easier for me to learn. Beautiful language
Sende Türk olduğun için olabilir mi?=)))
Because Uzbek and Turkish are different dialects of the same language :)
Turkic languages are divided into 3 main branches: 1. Kipchak, 2. Oghuz, 3. :)

it depends on the letter at the end of the word.

I'm an Iranian from Abadan city living in London. My parents were from Qashqai ( turkic: Southern Oghuz speakng) tribe who speak a kind of turkic dialect. As a child when I lived in Iran my parents and some of my older siblings spoke to me in turkish/Qashqai and I understood the language but never learnt to speak it. But still know and remember a lot of turkish words when I hear people talking in different turkish dialects. I hope to learn the language and make sentace even in different turkish dialect than Qashqai one. Thank you for the post. Ardeshir Azadmanesh(Galehzan- Qashqai).

Have you watched Turkish dramas? I can recommend some if you're interested. That's how I've learnt a small amount of Turkish. I'm trying to learn more so I don't need subtitles so much. It will take me years.
All the best

I love the language and the culture and I love to learn different languages. Great lesson. Tomorrow I will go through it again
