He is such a talented and multifaceted artist. We have seen his happy smiling side but he is human and like all of us has many sides. He is being vulnerable and letting us "in" to see his inner dialogue. This is an amazing song and I hope he burns even brighter.
In the earlier interviews, RM did say they had no idea they would get as big as they did…(and it scared the shit out of suga who said he closed his eyes and expected maybe floor 15 but when he opened his eyes he was on the 60th.) and the bigger the light the bigger the shadow. Really none of them saw this coming. Now you have the KSA (Korean Singers Association) asking them NOT to take a break because all of kpop is riding on them. THAT was a shit storm on Twitter with ARMY and no doubt that head of KSA got a few letters/tweets and trended…should check that one out. They are being sucked dry because now they are supposed to carry the whole industry, where kpop sure as hell didn’t support them in the beginning…in fact “kpop” tried to kill them.
Those Busan officials were horrible w them treating them like meat !! The country expects everything from them yet their own country does NOTHING for them !!! They have all earned and deserve at least military exemption!!!!!
The fact that Mic drop is also one of Jhope's creations!! The whole song was written with the lead of Jhope's verse in the song. He has such a major role in BTS banger songs and damn, couldn't expect less than Arson and More !!
Also, it's interesting to Know Arson in Korean means "preventing fire" and in English, it's the total opposite meaning "Setting somewhere deliberately on fire" so in the "If anyone asks me" verse he is playing with the meaning too. So cool honestly.
dictionary told me korean tittle 방화 can have two meanings that are actually the opposite: fire prevention and *arson* Official prerelease description of Arson said "Arson pictures j-hope’s encountering the world outside the box and standing at the crossroads agonizing which path he should take" Lines of the song "Right I did build the fire right away, now ask me, do i put out the fire or burn ever brighter" following the two faces of the actual word 방화 🤌 hoseok 🤌
this reaction was REALLY GOOD wow ... it seems like you got this so I'm not gonna dive in this song is simply a banger. the lyrics are phenomenal. How he compared his fame to fire .. an arson made by him that makes him shine as nothing else would, but hurts so deep at the same time. Growing day by day with more light and more pain and it lefts him wondering if he should stop that or not..? if all the fun and whatever comes with fame is worth it?! And finally my fav scene where he shows his heart beating like crazy for music while literally being ON FIRE!!!! he is still passionate about music no matter how hurt it got him, or how bad the situation is... This man is a GENIOUS. and the beat as well ? it is just perfect. I can't wait to see his next project AND the ons after. His music is ma thing now 🔥
Such a cool perspective that he's returning to the scene of Mic Drop. It makes total sense because that is when BTS really REALLY blew up especially internationally.
Fire was outside, then goes out with smoke, then on inside like a glowing coal that could be destructive or transformative. Also noticed he is walking under a bridge.
You are by far my favourite Reactor - you have such incredible depth, and so I love watching you deep dive into such amazing creations - you are absolutely phenomenal! I love this song by j-hope it brings me back to the 90's music like WuTangClan, Beastie Boys, soooo epic!!! Thanks for all that you do.
YASSSS Hoseok back to his ROOTS. PURE HIP HOP, YASSSS WU TANG CLAN vibes. The fake "picture perfect" house burned. Hoseok has been released. The icing on the cake?.......Hobi splits the "s" in ARSON in the last scene. now the bottom half of the "s"a "j" and Hobi is the dots on the "j". With his body!!! 😲 OMG. MIC DROP WITH J-HOPE'S "J"👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜💜💜💜😱😱😱😱😱😱🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This song is incredible, I love when he tries something new and it just turns out so incredible. His album is full of bangers. I love the way you interpret every song in any of your reactions; Keep up the good work!
Beat reminds me of a Cypress Hill beat cant get my finger on the title tho. J-hope be like, I've done it all now, nothing left to do but to burn everything down and start a new/again
His album is so personal, way beyond what I expected and I freaking love it. We all know how brave and versatile he is but man, he is just beyond everything. This album, as his first solo is like a declaration and confession. My guy talks about anything he wants even considering taboo among Kpop and makes songs about any genre, I can't wait for his coming up works in the future at all, he is so unexpected. And Hoseok ended his album with "If anyone asks me" verse and damn that's just genius. Love how many different layers this guy has. Just proud of him so much.
Hoseoks new song is fire. Words can't begin to explain just how Fire and Dope this song is. I live the old hiphop beat of the song and I also love how catchy it is. I love how the lyrics rhyme with eachother and I love his voice in this song aswell. The MV is amazing as I love how burnt-out everything is, I so love how "arson" is written is fire. I also love the message behind the lyrics too. Thos side of Hoseok I'm loving I can't wait to hear the entire album now.
He's album is lit, you should listen to it! Regarding the house and the money, i think he meant it literally ^^. And i'd love it when he really did mean it, it's so relatable as everyone of us once dreamt of it. It's an "easy" and commen dream, and sometimes you're a bit ashamed of having had it (maybe even just a glimpse) one time in your past... the smile fits ;)
I think the burning house could be one of two things, or possibly both: his fire destroyed/damaged his relationship with his family and also prevented him from being able to have a family of his own.
this MV is insaneeeeeeeee for sure now the BTS members experimente new side of them. they talk for a long time about they're struggle about them not be recognize and respected . now they can talk about the other side of the coin being to popular , to successful and how they live this situation .
I hope JHope doesnt put out the fire but continue to burn brighter. He is so talented. I really love the way you break down the lyrics and i got a different perspective.
AND ONCE AGAIN J-HOPE REVOLUTIONS AND SHOWS THAT HE HAS A PERSONALITY INDEPENDENT OF OTHERS' OPINIONS. REAFFIRMED HIS SIGNATURE FROM "MORE" TO "ARSON", EMBLEMATIC, ALTENTIC AND OF VERY ATTITUDE, FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T LIKE MORE OR DIDN'T UNDERSTAND, ANOTHER DARK PEARL OF OUR ARTIST WHO DOES WHAT HE LOVES AND CHALLENGES THE SURREAL PERFECTIONS AND BREAKS STEREOTYPE RULES, THE MUSIC BURNS LIKE FIRE IN YOUR BODY AND THE SUPERFLUOUS WILL BE ENCINERATED. PEARLS OF A HIGH IQ BRAIN AND THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA. J-HOPE IS ICON AND YOU HAVE TO RESPECT THE KING. 👏👏. I LOVE.💗😍. THANKS FOR REACTING IMMEDIATELY. 👏👏
Thank you for your genuine reaction! I'm glad you like 'Arson'. I enjoyed listening to your thoughts. Jack in the box is such a phenomenal album! I subscribed
you should react to the whole album! Its only bangers and full of poetic deep lyrics! My favourite song is equal sign :D Thank you for your awesome reactions
can the house banner be a reference to BTS' (yoongi's in particular) "i wanna big house, big cars and big rings"? i don't know but this line became a repeating narrative thru BTS discography reflecting the always changing perspective of theirs
Clean clothes = He is burning everything right beside him by walking towards us. ( to match the lyrics) Dirty clothes = He also suffers and struggles a lot when all is burning. (clothes color is the same as extinguished cars.)
Hey, did you watch Agust D' s (Suga) MVs from his first mixtape? This video reminds me of them a lot, and a specially "give it to me' one. And I found it really ironic how Suga was actually "asking" for everything, like fame, money, success. And now j-hope represents kinda what happend after that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the house symbolizes HYBE. He's really breaking from the role and the styling that the label had laid out for him within the group. He also had that Vlive where he danced out his aggression. I've always thought of Hobi as the " firm mom" (to RM's papa) in BTS, Momma put his dreams on hold for the babies and now is going all out!
I hope you get to the whole album in order (even if you don't do it here) because it really is a more nuanced journey than More and Arson would lead you to believe. It's... art. More is nearer the beginning of the album, and is kind of wild and unharnessed, whereas I think Arson, which comes at the end, is more a refined (IMO) summary. Anyway, I enjoy your well-considered observations!
Bts has always made old 90’s hiphop and rock fusion music. That was their beginning sound and has always been at their core despite the popularity of their pop fusion music. The ignorance of some people is astounding. Unwilling to actually do research and listen, but are always the loudest with their opinions

I don't get it .. HOW ? it is the same word so is translated differently or a word in Korean that sounds similar to Arson but have a diff meaning ..?
