Funny that the “spitting eagle” actually sell for a premium over the 1891-CC without the spit. From what I’ve heard, the spitting eagle is actually more common than the one without. I’ve got one of each, both in PCGS holders and of the same grade (MS63), and got them both at the same price a few months apart a couple years ago from different sellers.
I live on Eastside and go there frequently, nice shop with fair prices

So do dealers consider it rude to pull out my phone and look up comparable prices? I feel awkward doing that.
Don’t see why unless they know they’re prices are high then maybe they will get butt hurt about it
No, they should understand you need to check what they normally go for before paying the kind of money some of these coins cost. You should always be checking comps
I wouldn’t care what the dealers thought/think it’s my money and I do whatever it takes to get a fair deal.
