    Good morning Mr Eddie. Birds are looking real nice. Y'all had me rolling with the chicken demonstration. Going to be some good eating. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day.

    I really enjoyed this farm to table video Mr Eddie. Your editing was on point when you put that demonstration right before/during your theme song. 😂 Thanks for the laughs. Take care and have s great weekend!

      I'm still experimenting with finish feeding but so far the butter in the feed has made the best tasting birds so far.
      If I had a milk cow I would try the milk thing but can afford buying milk for the chickens.
      What is your method for finish feeding?

      @@papawsplacei been using the feed mandylyn suggested I just put 35 in freezer I put on ice for 48 hours in big yeti color Chase recommend atleast 24 hours on ice. I don’t do the milk finish your right it’s expensive to buy my buddy has goats so we are gonna try milk and corn. Nice weights you got! My roosters were 5.5-4.85 hens were under 4-3.2 Only processed the odd balls (light legs and tiny girls). I got 19 from mandylyn she sent me 52 eggs but 27 busted and 23 hatched I lost few from coccidia I don’t treat them kind of double edge sword! Chases never get it. I got few nice big boys from Chase and some nice girls. I have Instagram nj bresse farms with bunch of videos of them. Stay well my friend! I’m buy 1/4 of chases cow so in October I’m going out to meet him and hang out for a day. Would be cool if you could meet up with us! Might swing past mandylyn and get more eggs or chicks. I really am into these breed. I get huge eggs from my 2 year old girls 70-85 gams

      They have great flavor but the meat is more chewy like wild game meats than store bought chicken.
      I've been trying different things and the Butter in the finishing feed has worked the best so far.

    Eddie what temp you keep smoker at

    • @papawsplace
      @papawsplace  Місяць тому

      I've been trying different temps. and we think 200 degrees cooking them low and slow is the best. Just check internal temp with meat thermometer until chicken is 160 degrees.

    Hey Papaw do you have a facebook page? back in 1968 when I was about 7 my dad showed me how to chop off the head with an axe on a stump. I kinda didn't chop all the way off clean so my dad had to finish it quick them let him go and he ran and flopped and ran with no head.. Dad explained it to me how they do that. Good ole memories
