Our adventure continued in Tokyo with an early start at Katsudon-ya Zuicho, where we eagerly queued for an hour and a half to taste our first authentic Tonkatsu in Japan. The wait was well worth it, setting a delicious tone for the day.
Filled with anticipation, we walked from Katsudon-ya Zuicho to the iconic Shibuya Crossing. Stepping into the bustling intersection was surreal, a dream come true for us who've only seen it in anime and TV shows. The energy and the crowd were just as vibrant as we imagined.
Next, we ventured to a gamer and anime lover's paradise, visiting the Pokemon Center and the Nintendo Store in Shibuya, conveniently located across from each other. This was a thrilling experience, diving deep into the world of Pokemon and Nintendo merchandise.
Our snack cravings took us to Garrett Popcorn, a familiar treat from Dubai. Although we were excited to revisit the flavours, the popcorn in Japan didn't quite match up to our previous experience-a reminder of how regional variations can differ.
Not yet ready to end our nostalgic journey, we took a cab to Pokemon Center Tokyo DX in Nihonbashi, reliving our childhood and immersing ourselves in the joy of Pokemon all over again.
