- i decided i wanted to see something different so i went to a random village in India in the outskirts of New Delhi where there was no Tourists at all
but we had some company with us the local police tried to scam us making us to go with them saying its not good to be here .

Some areas are not very welcoming to to outsiders . They are like that with Indians who are from another state . Some local who has some political connections has phoned the police about you guys !!!. It is the camera that they're scared of !!. The police do not know the law and just make it up as they go along !!!. The police even harass the locals in the same manner !!! Once they put on that uniform they are a law onto themselves !!!. They play judge and jury !!!! Just go about your business and ignore them !!! Tell them you will phone the embassy and they will shit themselves !!!. Ask to speak to their SP and they will be on their toes !!!!.

When your traveling the world you meet a lot of people and experience a lot of different cultures, you can’t sway from who you are because of that, yes he does UA-cam but you expect him to just stand there and talk to the same people for hours that’s not the purpose of his videos and in a foreign country you don’t want to be naive or easy to persuade you need to be stern but gentle at the same time, be able to get your point across without people smothering you out, and i don’t think people are worshiping him there just surprise to see a new face from the other side of the world,

Once in Cuba , we were in a tough area but we were not approached by plain-cloths until it was getting dark. They asked us where we were going and escorted us back to the hotel.They had followed us from a distance just to make sure that we would be safe and approached us when it was getting dark.

You gotta understand that the concept of "travelling" and "tourism" is very alien for most of the worlds people (or very far from their reality). Especially turning up at a random village, it will invoke a lot of Qs and curiosity from the locals, and to be ignorant to that fact and not expect a reaction, is quite unwise and disrespectful.

When you show up at a non-touristic place be prepared to be asked questions by curious people and police alike. People at such places aren’t use to a camera on their faces by a random person from a different country. Learn to adapt, happy travelling.

About they offering police escort it was explained by Karl Rock. Apparently is something that occurs in non tourist areas like random towns. It's like a policy they have that as soon as they detect a tourist, they must assign a police escort to ensure the tourist safety. At least those weren't as annoying as the one that shows up in Karl's Rock video when he talked about the situation, in which he couldn't separate from the police guy until when returned to the hotel

He's a high rank police officer riding on a classic 350 (royal Enfield, one of expensive and prestigious bikes of india) he wouldn't take bribes from small time tourists. He already saw the blackman had a camera so why would he ask for bribe ? He was actually protecting them by keeping his eye on them. This guy went to a random village where people haven't seen a blackman in life before . India is crowded country and crowd can do anything in the heat of moment. These guys are were susceptible for robbery too. They might have ended up in bad parts of the city and that's why policeman wanted to make sure that they are safe because if anything wrong had happened to those guys the local police would have faced the heat from news channels and polticians for not keeping the law and order in that area. Yes policeman is not innocent , he might be taking bribe but at his level he takes bribe from pubs and big hotel owners and not from randon citizen.
