Hey Dale! Good to see you. I got my yellow hippie GTO in the mail and can tell you that yours is no fluke. The rear axle is one of the best I've seen. The front axle was bent, but the wheel that was still spinning was quick. Ran it down my makeshift track and it did not disappoint.
Out of all the GTO’s that one is by far the best in terms of axles and wheels. 2 of the others were terrible. That makes me think that for this run the machines were closer in making the parts than on the others. Funny how that happens at times, certain models and tampos out shine the others. That makes me feel good that mine is no fluke!
Great video. It’s always good to run them. Never know when you might find a sleeper. BTW I tried out several of the Small Block car and they’re all disappointing.
@ l’m sorry. My bad. There’s definitely potential in some of the other new ones. I won’t say which ones so I don’t spoil the surprise. Happy hunting and happy holidays.
@@7thave.diecast945no no no don’t miss understand, I appreciate other people testing so I don’t completely waste my time. I was just disappointed because it looked the part. Please share any you find that have some potential these newer cars need testing more so than the established Fairmonts, Miradas, F-150’s etc
@ I understand we’re good. I know some people don’t like spoiler alerts. Finding something new that could be faster than a Fairmont or Mirada automatically places the bar high. That’s why we hunt right.
Yeah I think sometimes the cars are not maxed out in the speed department and need another round in the shop to get them completely running fast as possible. Temp and humidity both play a factor not only on the cars but the track as well. My track had contracted at least 1/4 of an inch since I ran last. Crazy!
So why do so many muscle cars seem to have a hard time competing at the top tier. I mean some are fast, but just not quite on that top tier. Is it lack of weight to over come poor aerodynamics? Thats my guess. Whats your thoughts?
Good question that I probably am not fully qualified to answer. I would say it’s just who they are competing against and quality control issues. Take that GTO with the flowers, by far the best quality out of any other GTO that I have run. A few others say the same thing. Now is this with all muscle cars? Probably not as I am sure there are a few in others ranks or tiers. I think you just have to run a few, that Nova has performed well on other people’s tracks and the metal/metal Chevelles do very well around too. Hope that helps some. Someone else might need to chime in on this one.
Still fun racing even if you didn’t get anything in your ranks your ranks are pretty tough to get into thanks for taking us along for the races👍
Hey I appreciate you watching as always!
Great racing🏁🏎. Thanks for sharing.

So glad I watched this episode !! First time seeing a Dixie Challenger run fast !! Well Done
Good session, gotta give them second chance 👍
You have to because we both know what can happen. Some just wake up!

I'm in Virginia and in the 30th and in eating ice cream
You know sometimes ice cream just makes you feel better no matter the temperature! Thanks for the view!
Great video. Thanks for running the Javelin. I see the same with my cars. Fast one day...turd the next.

A new #1 and the Super Snake refused to lose!
