What’s also annoying is that whenever a character from the original series appears Moroha is absent or knocked out and it’s always the twins who get to meet them and get to be involved with everything related to the people who where close friends with Inuyasha and Kagome! I want to see the original characters reaction towards Moroha and see if she reminds them of Inuyasha and Kagome because she resembles them a lot! And they don’t seem to wonder at all where Moroha is at and if she’s doing okay at all because Sango even knew when Kagome was pregnant and I’m pretty sure other people did too! Do they think that Moroha is dead or something?
without Inukag connections the twins would've stayed lonely and grow up alone. Everything is connected to Inukag is some way or another
I agree, the writers made the OG characters seem so less caring about InuYasha's daughter when he did everything to help everyone in the series despite having a bad childhood, bullying from both humans & demons & miserable life growing up alone.

After the information revealed in Episodes 18 and 20, my main question is: if Sesshomaru has the black pearl trapping Inuyasha and Kagome, why didn't he just release them where it's safe (i.e. under Shiori's barrier) so Moroha could be raised by her parents?
@@phoebea tbh, I was surprised that Jaken did a barrier for twins but Kagome, the stated most powerful priestess now, can't do a barrier for her husband & daughter? I mean, it was so OOC & stupid. it was also plot convenience if they just let kagome make her own barrier and hide the family for 14yrs until Sesshomaru's daughter are able to do something on their own.
@@reinfabian9795 You're right. Kagome would have definitely been able to conceal her family and Sesshomaru's twins and Rin.
If not, then, it proves that Shiori's barrier is useless against Kirinmaru. If Kirinmaru is hunting down half-demons, then his first stop would have been Shiori and her half-demon daycare and kill everyone.
My opinion: As a quarter-demon, it's better for people to grow moroha as the Spiritual power user of the group, I see that she overuse her Beni form too much, and it has proven to be bad when facing stronger foes like even Konton, if she doesn't kill her opponent in 1 min she will just faint. I believe the story should explore and grow her Spiritual power, which seems to be her stronger ability (I'm impressed how she imbued the sutra)
You're definitely on the right track but do we even know how one even goes about increasing spiritual power especially for one as strong as Kirinmaru?
@@MrMidnight007 even as Naraku increasing power, Kagome spiritual power still play a significant role in battle, I expect Moroha, through not main female lead, can excess the power role equivalent to her mother.
Also, I hope seeing Moroha purifies things in later episode

I just wish that they would focus a little more on Moroha than just the Twins. It just doesn't feel like its about the 3 of them being Princess half demons , just Towa and Setsuna being the princesses and Moroha as the sidekick... Like shes the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome come on now >.< T.T

Yeah true it's not about Inuyasha or Kagome but I feel they can integrate Moroha in a way where she doesn't feel like a sidekick and still have it be a story about Towa and Setsuna!
I hate how the show keeps sucker punching the best girl! Like she’s had a really sad life, and still gets crapped on. Not a fan! Also sesshomaru is super selfish. He should have asked his brother for help instead of stealing a happy life with his wife and child from him. You can’t tell me if those two teamed up they wouldn’t have killed kirimaru! Complete kept inuyasha in the dark for years. The mental stress he and kagome must be under is unforgivable in my opinion. And poor Moroha. Honestly hoping inuyasha beat the shit out of sesshomaru after this. Like I really don’t care.
I thought moroha's the 3 but now I realized she's may be the weakest 😭 and I feel so sickkkk I wanted to cry cause she's my fav character 😭😭 and yet she's always been out of the episodes 😭😭

But I think the Royalty line came From Inukimi, not Toga. He was her Army General and shes the Queen.

Yeah, Towa *is* a joke. She gains abilities she didn't earn, is overpowered, and doesn't learn much. What she does learn needs to be relearned. Too naive at times even.
@@whitewolf3051 and again I say. In the very 1st ep we see she has trophies for fighting but throughout the show she shows no signs of actual battle strategy that should've carried over with her. I get she couldn't easily or expect to calculate Demon Powers and Strengths but even Setsuna called out her giving Moroha's position away like a Green Child. That's as basic as you can get and she messed that up easily. There's no excuse. She even has the advantage of Tv and Manga/Anime from Modern Era yet she failed something so juvenile a 3rd grader could do.
It's like she went to college, was a straight A student, graduated early, got her Master's, gets hired by the company that specializes in her field, but struggles to do the fundamentals that company requires while the 1st time Interns are better suited for her position without even half the requirements. That's Trash, a literal Waste of time spent.
Towa is TRYING to fit in, been without her sister 10 years, learning about the feudal era again. A lot has changed since she’s been gone. Piss her off tho, she’s full sesshomaru. She just has her mother’s heart

I think peoples issue (mine as well) is that Moroha isn’t as IMPORTANT as she should be. She doesn’t have to be the focal point, that’s okay. And like Adamo said, she’s more in a miroku/sango role. But sango/miroku made so much impact and demanded respect as secondary characters. Where is that for Moroha? It’s like they almost dumb her down to a Shippo level where she should be at a Miroku/Sango level. She’s literally the granddaughter of Inu No Taisho, and the daughter of the reincarnation of Kikyo, one of the most powerful priestesses. Just like due to Inuyasha’s father being one of the strongest demons, he was able to come close to certain demon strengths even as a half demon... Moroha should eventually be able to come close to certain half demon strengths as a quarter demon (due to her blood line) with potential great priestess powers from her mother. Again, she doesn’t have to be the main character, but let’s not fumble the quarter-demon-priestess bag we have here.
Facts. It's arguable that they're putting her below Shippo level with these over used jokes. Shippo was annoying at times but never really in a bad way. Speaking of which WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO HIM!
Sango is a stay at home wife now, Miroku is finally getting some training in that should've happened in the OG, Inuyasha and Kagome are at Toga's Grave (still alive I hope), Sesshomaru is handling thing's behind the scene with Jaken (which is surprisingly stronger then the show gave hime credit for), and Rin is stuck in the Tree of Time...Where is Shippo! Kirara appears more often then he does. Even Myoga, like TF
I’m sorry, weren’t Miroku and Sango constantly being sidelined and treated as side characters in the original? That’s the way I remember it. Moroha doesn’t feel below their level of treatment to me.
Also she has been shown to have that power, she just hasn’t been able to control it yet (which given her current situation is understandable) Also I don’t get the logic that just because she’s related to powerful people means she has to have a character arc more similar to theirs.
@@crescentmatcha i never said she has to have a character arc similar to the people she’s related to. I’m saying there’s many different avenues to explore her given her background. She’s being handled like a weakling when it would not make sense for her to be, given her bloodline. Sesshomaru wasn’t at the forefront of Inuyasha either but it’s obvious he’s the full demon son of Toga, and therefore his strengths show that to be true. If he was made to be weaker than Inuyasha, it wouldn’t make sense. If he was the son of another, less powerful demon, but he was still as strong as he is... that also doesn’t make sense. He has his strengths and other traits that come from his parents. It was made obvious to us, but as you said that doesn’t mean he HAS to have a similar character arc (even though he ends up walking the path of his dad, etc)
Same thing with Moroha, due to who she is, and where she comes from, it doesn’t make sense to make her out to be as weak as they are. Moroha is made out to be halfway useless and the comic relief, like Shippo. Whereas it should at least be like Sango/Miroku... that would make more sense.
The difference between her and Sango/Miroku is that even though they were sidelined as well, their characters had a strong presence from the first time they appeared. Their place in the story line was made apparent from the start. However, Inuyasha was written better than Yashahime anyways. But through the seasons things might change, should it get picked up for more than 2.
@@crescentmatcha they were sidelined but it wasn't like Moroha. Miroku ESPECIALLY SANGO had their own problems that literally to the core revolved around killing Naraku. Sango had a crap ton of screen time that was well deserved. Even her brother Kohaku with and without the jewel shard keeping him alive was givin more in depth screen time that didn't seem out of place or unwarranted at any time. It all tied in. Miroku is where it was kinda wrong. Yes he was trying to get rid of the Wind Tunnel but they never really gave him enough depth and screen time, let alone abilities/training/new tools. Me and many other's complained about it but he was never out of place really
Honestly, even miroku, a character that was constantly used as the comic relief, *still contributed to the inuyasha team more than moroha is currently doing with hers.* Most of the time he is optimistic and funny. When there is need to lessen the tension he is there too. His comedic timing is on point. But When things are serious, he is serious. He fights along side the gang and uses his knowledge and spiritual ability to his advantage and helps his team out. *He feels important to the team despite not being the one to direct the final blow. He is always present. Not being so because of "coincidence" is weird. He is not just a perverted monk.*
Same thing should happen to moroha. Its ok to be comic relief. Just don't make that her soul meaning of existence. *ADD TO IT. SHE IS CAPABLE OF BEING MORE THAN THAT* Bring back her experience and exposition (like we saw in the first episodes) so at least she has a meaningful contribution to the team. Make her actually learn from her story arch and dont bait beiyasha for nostalgia. *Let her be the miroku of the trio. Let her be relevant.*
*Or else don't act like she is apart of the team.* Let her be an amazing side character we meet every other episode like hisui or kohaku. That way you won't literally need to erase her midway from every episode we see her in.

@@JMoonJ Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Did we watch the same show? Miroku and Sango both were pushed to the side a lot. Which was ok since they weren’t the primary protagonists, and Moroha is supposed to be more of a side protagonist than the main one. So it makes since that sometimes she’s not the main focus.

We did watch the same show. The point im trying to make is in battle, Miroku tries to be as useful as possible. *His inability to do so is ALSO TAKEN SERIOUSLY.* He either gets knocked out, is poisoned or is threatened to be. *His inability to help IS NEVER A JOKE like what they do with moroha.* . That's the difference.
Again. I am totally ok with her being a secondary character for laughs. I know the story isn't about her and that's fine. *Just don't treat her as a one dimentional joke after you showing her being more than that in the first episodes.* that's whats frustrating. Showing us her potential then yeeting it to a garbage bin.
So Either continue with her character development or just don't make her part of the main trio. She already isn't useful so what's the point of dragging her along? Just Make her a background character like kohaku and hisui that is hilarious and funny. I'm fine with that too. I don't need to see her constantly being with the girls just to do a bit and leave. She is even worse than shippo at this point.
To be honest, I think the writers used that belief that "Sesshomaru was the favourite character in Inuyasha", and assumed that it would translate to Towa and Setsuna being the favourites in this sequel. Maybe they thought people would automatically like them because they're their father's daughters. So much, that Moroha wasn't even a character when they first wrote the sequel. I wonder how it might have turned out without Moroha... Was it just about Towa and Setsuna arguing about the dream butterfly for 24 episodes? And our beloved original characters being trapped in the black pearl for the whole length of the show?

I adore Moroha so much,and it does get super annoying that every single fight it's the twins who get the win. Especially when Moroha has proven she has it in her to be a force to be reckoned with. It'd be better if they won a fight TOGETHER more not just 2/3 of them.
I found it really terrible and weak when Towa got her powers back and killed the demon monk while Moroha and Setsuna (which was really out of her character) looked up seeing her and were like "We're Saved bcus were all of a sudden to Weak and Badly Beaten" 😑
Kai Mobley it happened with Inuyasha all the time and we loved it. How many time human Inuyasha turned back to hanyou demon in a nick of time? All the time. The same formulae is used regarding Towa.
@@gokuson2590 yeah we loved it for Inuyasha but he earned it. Towa hasn't earned anything yet. Whereas Setsuna and Moroba have earned plenty in their own right
Kai Mobley why talking about Setsuna And Moroha? Sango as a slayer was more battle skilled than Inuyasha but nobody complained she never did the final kill. Same with Miroku. His kazana was more powerful but the samyosho had to be introduced to stop him taking the shine from Inuyasha, nobody complained. Why complain now because of female Towa going through the same as her uncle.
@@gokuson2590 Sango was not more skilled then Inuyasha. With weapons and poisons yes. But Inuyasha has over 100yrs worth of other exp over her. And she did get her own fair share of kills and shine that was deserved. Miroku on the other hand me and other people have been complained he didn't get any buffs of any kind. He should've gotten training or news tools. But the wind tunnel was more a disadvantage then advantage more times then not. Almost every time he uses it he gets poisoned or he has to stop using it to save himself from being poisoned. Plus that thing is a double edged sword. If anyone or anything hits his hand while in the midst of doing the move he could've sucked up any of the main characters, innocent bystanders, or himself by accident and then we'd have no more show. And that's not including if he uses it and his hand/forearm gets chopped off and then you have a reckless attack constantly going on until it sucks up everything or is somehow destroyed
The only character that really bothers me is: Takechiyo. Seems unsympathetic, or anything really that redeeming. Just a form of transport & being the pressure of the chip on Moroah’s shoulder.

@@aliastheabnormal I get he’s shippo’s replacement. But that doesn’t mean we knew the writers would choose this type of personality for him.
They should explore his relationship with Miroku and whether he's Hachieko son or not, since I'm in a strong he's at least, nephew of Hachieko.

I don't think Moroha is comic relief. If anything she seems to be the most knowledgeable of the three main characters of Yashahime. Also, it took a while, but Moroha ultimately became my favorite main character of Yashahime. Moroha does fit the chosen one archetype more than Towa and Setsuna, especially since she's the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the main characters of the original Inuyasha series. Moroha also has a personality that is the perfect amalgamation of Inuyasha and Kagome's different personalities. Not to mention that Moroha is currently the only known being that can use spiritual and demonic powers, as well as being the first and only known quarter demon. It just seems to me that Moroha is more special than Setsuna and Towa. I also found it interesting that Moroha is more directly affected by Kirinmaru than Towa and Setsuna were. Not just Kirinmaru, but Zero, Sesshomaru, and Riku do play a role in Moroha's past. Riku warned Kagome of the danger that Inuyasha and their child would be in if Kirinmaru gets involved with them, which forced Kagome to ultimately send Moroha away for her safety. Zero goaded Kirinmaru into going after those who are from Toga's family that are a mix between demon and human. Kirinmaru chose to go after Inuyasha, and by extension Kagome and Moroha. Sesshomaru used the black pearl to banish Kagome and Inuyasha to the border between life and the afterlife, which simultaneously saved Inuyasha and Kagome, while at the same time ensuring that Moroha would grow up without her parents. To an extent Moroha is the only one of the main characters to have had their past directly affected by Kirinmaru. Granted Kirinmaru was sleeping when Sesshomaru hid Towa and Setsuna, but when Zero found them years later, Kirinmaru still never got directly involved, unlike with Moroha. I also found it interesting and somewhat fitting that Moroha was raised by the wolf demon tribe, since they had a history with Inuyasha and Kagome. I also found the rest of Moroha's backstory fascinating. Moroha was trained by a wolf demon who gave Moroha her sword and ultimately sold Moroha to pay off a debt. Moroha became a bounty hunter to pay off the debt, while also relying too heavily on her demon form, which she calls Beniyasha. I enjoyed Moroha's connection with her mother's side of the family, as well as her cousins Towa and Setsuna, though I think she likes Setsuna more. I also found her reunion with her former master to be satisfying and tragic, since Moroha mastered her own crimson backlash wave but ended up killing her master, who was trying to teach Moroha. A UA-camr brought up a point that Moroha didn't get to kill Konton for forcing her into a situation where she had to kill her own master. While I would like to see Moroha one day pay off her debt, I look forward to the day she is reunited with Kagome and Inuyasha. I would best describe Moroha at her core as being a human girl trying to be a demon girl, when she ultimately has the best of both worlds.

I really think that we need MC that will show us something else, inuyasha was hanyo, we explored it already so the MC should be human/full demon/someone with spiritual powers (moroah or riku could have been good choice).

Ahhh you nailed everything on the head about Moroha (I think at least)!
I think also because we grew up on Inuyasha & Kagome as the primary couple in the Inuyasha series, it also adds to the disappointment that Moroha doesn't bring more to the story as fans have likely fantasized/idealized a kid between the two for so long only to get glimpses of her still. It feels a little cheated in some ways.
+ They did that entire episode on her learning to not jump to Beniyasha only for her to do it again shortly after which felt backwards.
It's bad writing. At this point in time, it feels like Beniyasha only exists to write her out of the episode or scenes. Like you said, they gave us a whole episode for her to learn to not depend on it only for her to keep depending on it without second thought. It's frustrating.

It honestly feels like the first couple of episodes were written by different writers. Those episodes were intriguing and good. Now it's just bad writing with terrible pacing!
@@SevHighwind86 I agree, and it doesn't make sense that Setsuna's backstory/character introduction is at episode 20. If this series had followed a basic story structure, they would have known to introduce their MCs in the first 1/3 of the story.

At the moment she is just comic relief 😓. In the first 5 episodes she prove to be strong and smart not just funny, so where did that go? they gave her many abilities but she use non.
They pretty much took everything from her, she barley talked with the Higurashi family, didn't see the photos of her parents, Mirsan and the demon slayers don't know who she is and Koga was supposed to care for her but where he is???

I’ve said since the beginning the strongest factor Moroha has is that she is likable. Out of the three girls, I’d say she’s the most likable and is certainly my favorite. She’s got the strongest personality of the girls and that’s why her being shoved to the background sits so badly with so many fans. I understand they didn’t want her to take center stage but the fact remains that she has, regardless if they wanted it or not. I think it would make more sense for them to just embrace this fact rather than try to ignore it.
At this point, you can't change anything. They chose Towa as the main character. People have to accept it.

For me, Moroha has so much potential to be interesting because she’s a quarter demon but she’s a quarter demon between a strong hair demon and a strong priestess. She has demonic and spiritual powers, two things that should, quite literally, not be able to exist in the same body.

To be honest, I kind of wish that Moroha was the main character. It's not that I hate the twins or anything, but I feel like that the life of a quarter demon is MUCH more interesting that half demons. I mean we already saw a show about a half demon, which was Inuyasha, so why not the life of something else? But that's just my opinion, I really hope we see more scenes with more Moroha (that aren't showing her just being a comic relief).
Moroha does not deserve the harsh treatment she gets. She just wants her freedom. I hope the lost bounty gag will die soon so that we can get more plot progression and character development for Moroha. Justice for Moroha.

Like Seriously. She should've been able to collect a bounty off of some of the demons that they slayed. Not at every turn "Oh the Head just so happens to get destroyed specifically at the end of every battle". Like I get you want the head and all as proof but the body should still be more then enough of that alone with a bounty still being collectible. What's so specifically important about the Head and not the rest of the body.
That Kappa ep blatantly showed that some demons are more valuable in the body area then for whatever reason the head is.

Towa and setsuna are NOT sesshomaru. Honestly they hardly even remind me of him. That’s the whole problem. But Moroha is perfect. She IS InuYasha and Kagome daughter. And because of that. She should be MC. Sorry not sorry. The story could be the same just through her.

@@ComOneMaybe Your right maybe I would. But Towa is literally dumber then a box of rocks nothing like Sesshomaru. Setsuna is too much like Sesshomaru and it makes her boring. Moroha is perfection. Just like any anime where the side characters are better then the MC I think it’s a bad choice.

Shes independent , smart & have a good sense of humor. She can joke around eventough being raise in Wolf tribe can be lonely but she wasnt being bitter like setsuna.

idk if everyone's aware of this, during one interview of the director & other people behind the show, they admitted that they're purposely putting her aside coz moroha tend to become the center easily even in the smallest gesture she gives only for the fact that she's inuyasha and Kagome's daughter. she's a potential threat to their new mc to be beloved like how InuYasha and Inu gang was.
but that's the thing here. if you're doing something like this purposely to control the emotional attachment of your audience, chances are, instead of them naturally loving the main, if you try to manipulate the feelings like conditioning in the audience mind that "this is towa & setsuna they're the main characters. you should love them more coz they're the main characters. they're the main characters so you should pay attention to them more" like it will just sabotage the potential of natural deep admiration & the more people will appreciate those who look like the "underdog" in the show. in this case, it's moroha. she's effortlessly the most favorite only for existing because this is the next generation. she doesn't have to be the mc to be popular because her parents are known as a married pair in the ending of the series, people will expect for her whether the writer includes her or not. while the twins are adorable in their own way, it's hard to build deep connection right away in 20 ep with overpowered characters who grew up in their safe zone with the comfort of the og characters who could've been the one who sheltered moroha simply for being connected to her parents if Inukag are trapped. but they gave a new character for her, who instead of actually taking care of her sold her twice to strangers.
she's a mistreated child in the story & also a mistreated character in general. Moroha deserves better.

I don’t mind Moroah being second to the twins but she needs to be more in the loop. I like her being the jack of all trades. But I wish there was a focus on her developing her spiritual powers and relying on them more. I would like Beniyasha to be relied on less. I would also like that it last longer and/or not passed out for a whole day. To me she comes across as a third wheel instead of secondary character like Miroku or Sango. I wish Hisui was with the group and was Moroah’s bestie.
That would probably solve a lot, zhe original did pairings so her having at least a constant relationship if friendship with hisui and her joking along the way about it, you dont even need him there all the time.

I think moroha's biggest issue is that the writers couldn't decide if she's foolish and jumps into combat or intelligent and analyzes every situation, so they just went with both and made her a side character that keeps older fans watching.
Same can be said for Towa. Setsuna is the only one that stays 99% consistent through and through. Other then that ep Towa lost her powers then got them back and Setsuna with Moroha look up and are like "TOWA!, OUR SAVIOR IS HERE (as if we suffered major injuries and can't move a inch but Towa was always strong enough to 1 shot this guy but never did in the first 5min😑)"

Why did Inuyasha not take himself and his wife to Shiori village before Kagome delivered? He knew Kirinmaru was after him Kagome I am sure told him. Why always depend on Sesshoumaru? Is Inuyasha not a man, husband and father? If he wanted to raise his child, he would himself had come up with a better plan. He did not. It is not Sesshoumaru's fault that they gave their baby to Hashi to take to Kouga.

After all he did do half the work of getting rid of the Comet and with little effort to boost as a Hanyo no less. The only reason Sesshomaru didn't do the same is bcus he knows the history Toga left after his death and what may or may not happen if he just flat out attacked. That's why he trapped Inuyasha and Kagome in the Black Pearl instead of just slaying them on the spot. He didn't want to kill his kids and he definitely didn't want to kill Kagome or unborn Moroha. I'm sure he wouldn't mind killing Inuyasha still but the way he is now he would rather not

After all the punishment of Moroha she deserves a happy ending. Moroha can still be the funny one but tone it down and write her character out to be more like a Miroku. He was a mix of funny, greedy, and serious. Takechiyo should be the butt of jokes. I actually hate his character the most. (He's kind of is like a Jaken but worst.) I really want him to get punched by Inuyasha so bad. He deserves all the punches in the world by how he treated and made fun of Moroha.

I agree completely. What infuriates me about her is that she’s SUPPOSED to be in Miroku’s/Sango’s role but instead is being treated like Shippo/Jaken. The fact that she is capable af (as shown by the first few episodes) but is being treated like a freakin joker instead of a significant character is severely flawed writing. At this point I would’ve preferred them to flat out remove her from Yashahime and maybe create a separate Rumiko sequel dedicated to her where her character is fleshed out properly so that I’d finally be able to drop Yashahime for good. Moroha was and still is a character I like a lot. I was skeptical when I heard that she was gonna be the daughter of Inuyasha because most of the time when you have daughters of the main character from a previous show the daughter or son is either an annoying character a character who hates their parents for seemingly no reason or all of the above but thankfully she doesn't do that. She does have some things that make her interesting since she is the daughter of these 2 characters and she does have their specific abilities in unique ways. I do wish that they would stop having her Be this comic relief character and that's all we're gonna do with her and not even expand or grow on her development. Granted she did get some development but not enough to the point where she can actually stand toe to toe with her cousins and the same goes for actually letting her get bounties for her demon hunting! That got annoying every time she is either too late or they do kill a demon but she doesn't get the bounty at all like come on give the girl something!!!! Sighs, I do acknowledge that she does have issues and flaws but honestly out of the 3 she is still my favorite out of the 3 and that hasn't changed. Hopefully if we do get a season 2 the writers will know what they're doing for these 3 characters but until then Moroha is still my favorite with Setsuna maybe being a close second. I honestly don't understand why you would do a continuation of inuyasha then make more about sesshomaru kids, he was rarely ever in the show and was he was it was usually to fight/kill his brother that does not make any sense and having moroha as the weakest of the group really ticks me off, like oh my god writers WHY.
Sesshomaru is by far the most popular character in Inuyasha. So my thinking is to make Yashahime sucessfully the writers focus on his daughters.

Exactly, she is more like the miroku of the group. Think about it. Both Have:
1) spiritual powers
2) good knowledge / helpful insight for their team
3) have tragic pasts
4) are secondary characters that arent the strongest but still fight as part of the team
5) *are constantly used as comic relief* .
And yet miroku still feels like a more important part of the team than moroha does. And that is because there is a *balance* between his comedic bits and his role in fighting along side his team mates. And If he can't fight, he gives pointers and backs them up. He is as useful as he can be when it counts. *You never see him out of battle as part of a joke. His inability to help is serious. THAT'S WHERE THE BALANCE LIES.*

When I first started watching, it was for all three girls. Overtime, it's now only for Moroha. Its kinda sad since she's just there to be "funny". Like she doesn't have to be the main focus, I'm cool with that, but they need to give her a proper reasoning than just being funny and in debt. Its getting old.
I wish that Moroha was the primary MC. It almost feels like the writers had to underutilize Moroha just so Towa can try to be a little more likeable (it didn't work, though.)
I also realized today from another commenter that the writers did Moroha dirty. You know the episode where Sesshomaru trapped Inuyasha and Kagome in the Black Pearl? Add that factoid to the knowledge that Shiori exists in this storyline, and you're left with the question: Why didn't Sesshomaru release Inuyasha and Kagome under Shiori's barrier so they could raise Moroha?
Sesshomaru wasn't under duress during his recent fight with Kirinmaru, so he could have allowed Moroha to be raised by her parents by releasing her parents when it was safe. This is so out of character for Sesshomaru (post- meeting Rin) that I'm sure this was the writers' oversight.
Four episodes left and I'm sure that this will be a deus ex machina ending with Sesshomaru (and maybe Inuyasha) being the deus character.

Or, if Towa had had been taken in by the demon slayers when she time jumped, but Setsuna wasn't one of the demon slayers? I like exploring plots and stories like these. I feel that I can make a better storyline than Yashahime.
To be honest, at times it feels as if the writers are bullshitting through Moroha’s storyline. Without question, she’s my favorite out of the whole sequel. I just wish they put more effort into her character and storyline. And I wouldn’t mind less focus on Towa. I find her very annoying lol.

The problem with Moroha’s comedy is that they use her too much for that role, and give her too little important role as a supporting characters. Sure back in Inuyasha, Miroku was also use in the way as a comedy character and as a supporting characters just like Moroha. But they don’t use him too much for comedy, also give him some important supporting role in the series. Such as backing up the main protagonists and backing up other important supporting characters such as Sango.
I love Moroha, best of the trio. To me, I love that she mixed of both of her parents and hilarious like both and using both their powers. Yes, I do see she can be an over comic relief, but episode 16, gave me a more in-depth and more sympathy to her. So I can't wait when the time comes when she finally meet her parents. So another great analysis video.

She approved of all of this you know. It’s not like these writers are just pulling stuff out of their asses. Takahashi already has a big role in creating this sequel and forming its story.

It's more likely that she gave her approval for the producer/writers she trusted/believed in to use her characters for the sequel. The credited writer is Katsuyuki Sumisawa, not Takahashi.
Regardless of how involved (or not) Rumiko Takahashi was in the writing process, I don't see her making the rookie writing/plot mistakes that Yashahime is riddled with. As a writer myself, the plot mistakes are just so obvious, that I can't believe that Takahashi (a veteran storyteller/manga-ka) had a hand in it. If you look at Rumiko Takahashi's body of work, Yashahime doesn't resemble any of her other work.

Moroha’s character definitely needs to be developed more. I wanna see more emotion out of her that’s not being funny or frustrated from not getting her bounty. I feel like she’s most likely hiding her real feelings and that’s why we see her behave the way she does. Moroha "insulting" her cousins with, "Yo mama's a human!" will always make me laugh 😂 This sequel to me seems to be pretty light hearted so I've stopped overthinking it. Moroha being most popular is exactly like Sesshomaru being most popular in the main series. He wasn't/she's not the main focus and I don't really have any issue with that.

IMO, Moroha > Setsuna > Towa. I would love for Moroha to be featured more, and to have more character development so she’s not being relied on so much for comic relief. I don’t really think her comedy is overplayed. I see her “aw man, no bounty!” shtick the same as I did with Miroku being a lech. Miroku always wants some ass, and Moroha always wants money. It’s just part of their personalities and makes them unique. 🤷♂️

Because Sango had 3 young children to look after. Remember Moroha was born only months after Towa and Setsuna. Her daughters and Hisui were still rather young. Miroku and Sango both already had their hands full when these three were born plus Moroha is part demon, even if it's a small percentage and that small amount of demon blood could be dangerous if she couldn't control it which they wouldn't have known if she'd have the same issues as Inuyasha or not. Plus Inuyasha and Kagome believed Kirinmaru was going to go after Moroha to kill her, sending her to Sango and Miroku would've been putting a target on them and since Miroku couldn't really fight anymore and at that point Kohaku had likely taken Kirara with him to build up the demon slayers only Sango would've been able to fight and she'd have stood no chance against a man who even had the great Sesshomaru pretty much backed into a corner. Sending her to a tribe full of demons who'd do anything to keep their family safe was a much better choice.

The demon slayers eventually adopted setsuna so i really don't understand the whole point of wanting to avoid painting a target on them. After all following that logic why didn't they investigate setsuna or the demon slayers if they heard about her? And if you follow the logic that they didn't know about a half demon joining the demon slayers then it just proves they didn't actively try hunting them down either so moroha would likely had been fine after a few years. It's not as if moroha or her master hid themselves either her master literally had her fight demons for practise its not exactly laying low.

The poop steak analogy was perfect. I feel like people’s complaints aren’t about Moroha, they’re annoyed with the writing. I feel like at the beginning it became apparent that was an easy favorite and her chemistry with Setsuna was so enthralling but the riders had to sabotage her in order to keep the focus on Towa and Setsuna. Idk if anyone has seen New Girl or any other show where two characters who aren’t supposed to like each other (per the script) but have amazing chemistry, and so the writers create all of these silly obstacles to keep them away from each other and then it effects the show ratings every single time.

Plus the potential, she was left on her own after Sesshomaru kidnapped them, had to survive on her own. SHe's a goofball, I mean get her and shippo together go on adventures and she could hold the show up herself. Hell than with Drama, feeling abandoned by her parents and wanting to find them. just feeling alone. I would love a story where she goes off hunting her parents try and save them. Just over around she's more of a character compared to the other two. Hell she kind of started the series by mentioning the dream butterfly. But she gets the short end of the stick cause of the twins
i love moroha the moment i saw her i instantly fell in love with her and i just know she’ll be my fave out of the trio. i do agree that her comic relief have it’s pros and cons. while we love her funny entertaining side, it gets annoying that it became repetitive and the writers also use it as a way to keep her out of fighting most of the time. she is one of the biggest failures of the writers and directors in my opinion. she have all these interesting qualities but bec they were too focused on not letting her steal the spotlight from the twins it just became weird. idk she deserve a better treatment than this.

There's only 24 episodes so if they don't reunite her parents and only let Towa and Setsuna be reunited with Rin and Sesshomaru, I'm gonna be disappointed and angry. If that does happen, it'll be obvious the writers couldn't care less if Moroha stays alone forever and dies parent-less.

The show should have never introduced her as part of Towa and Setsuna's dynamic, they should have had her as the Sesshoumaru or Koga type of character we see every now and then. (In my opinion, she should have been a couple years older than the twins to kinda fit this role, that way the power dynamic balance itself out between the three)

Moroha went from smart to kinda being a joke as time keeps going. True she’s not the main focus of the series, but I feel they are slowly downgrading her as time goes on.

It said zero has setsuna's seal removed which causes her to attack her friends and hisui gets his sister Kinu who inherited miroku's bonding powers to come and seal her again. The character list says kirinmaru, zero, totosai, moroha,towa,setsuna, Inu-no-taisho, Hisui, Kinu and others.

My main complaint about Moroha is the twins don’t actually treat her like she’s apart of the group. Despite them being cousins. Setsuna is one thing, but with Towa being as family oriented as she is, that’s a missed social interaction. They could have easily allowed Towa to vent to Moroha about Setsuna being distant in the 1st half of the series & had Moroha attempt to bridge the gap.
Also, the Beniyasha speech she does before applying the rouge. Is that needed? Just put it on & Beniyasha ends up being useless despite how much she talks it up everytime.

I’ve loved Moroha since the first time she’s introduced. She’s so cute, she’s funny, she’s brash... She’s so much like her father in her brashness, honestly. It’s understandable that she cries over losing her bounties. She doesn’t want to be indebted forever for debts that aren’t even hers. I don’t see that as a con, really. On occasion, she’s a bit overboard as comic relief, but I don’t find it horrible. I think they could do more with her and I wish they would.

In my opinion I think that if this show had a manga it will be better written and could of possibly had 3 or 2 seasons becuase I honestly doubt this will get a second season
Whenever Kohaku and or Hisui is around, it's like Moroha doesn't ask Kohaku on what was her parents were like through his perspective when he had time off: a missed opportunity. And that's not all. When being held like that to take part of the battle challenge, man, talk about rubbing her the wrong way. That's not the right way to treat a lady. She should have stand up for herself. Yeah, I get it that she wouldn't be taken seriously but at least she should let her voice be heard. Man, what's with people these days, anime or not?!! Another missed opportunity.
Does she even know he knows her parents? Hell does Kohaku even know he knows her parents? I've never seen a moment where it seems like he realizes that she's Inuyasha and Kagome's kid. I mean I guess you could assume he could tell by looking at her or by seeing her using both demon and priestess abilities....
I love Moroha the most. She uses humor to suppress a deep sadness she has not knowing her parents.

The backlash wave requires a demon with similar or weaker yōki to attack you in order to twist it back at them.
She nor Inuyasha could just use it liberally.
I actually have no cons for her... I like all her gags I just think the structure of the show doesn't let her shine. She's a mini Inyuyash... What's there not to like?
Edit: I did vote that she was too much of a comic releif character but, again, that's not her fault... Just the structure of the show

It’s been months and I’m still mad about it!! Moroha should have been the main character and if she wasn’t put more emphasis on the OG characters being there for Inuyasha’s and Kagome’s daughter. Why was she raised by kogas clan and why is she being put off as someone with no real goals and always passing out. She was done wrong by everyone and no one is worried really could care less. Honestly Inuyasha and Kagome was put off as weak because no one can’t tell me if everyone fought like they did with Naraku that they couldn’t kill him. I feel like it’s just so over the place it’s not that interesting anymore. Plus Moroha has the strongest personality so it makes you dread the show until Moroha is back on. Honestly this could have been much better😓
Moroha is so adorable she's my best girl and fav.among the 3..but after ep.9 i dropped the sequel..i'm pissed off that they're only showing Moroha as a comic relief, set aside and nerfed her in most fighting scenes..plus they're focusing too much to the twins..like hello? Are they the only characters in the show? I know that the story is about them but c'mon🙄 In InuYasha series even side characters has fair treatment and fighting scenes..but in sequel you can see how the story is failure and almost all characters are poor written..i'm disappointed of how the story goes on..for me the story makes no sense and it's boring the sequel bring bad image to InuYasha series😑

When compared to inuyasha an other anime with or about strong female characters yashahime gets a big thumbs down I watch it as a fan of inuyasha but that’s as far as it goes for me. My students and my female students all agree that anything female, lgbtq agenda pandering touches gets screwed we’re not against females feminists or lgbtq or me too u know it’s tragic when movements with good go down the the crapper and get high jacked with nonsense and the end result is misery and everything it touches turns to garbage this has to change if young boys and girls feel turned off degrade confused and demeaned something definitely wrong with the movement core,ideology,goals,creed and belief system especially if everything it touches ultimately turn to chaos,garbage or wrecks thing everybody enjoys also making up reasons to hate no cool either if u disagree with society do it appropriately using reason, logic, peace and diplomacy not let’s wreck everything and replace with a equally if not more sexist society.
Moroha is truly the *Heart of Yashahime* without Moroha this show wouldn't have been lovely and lively in many ways, she has less screen time, always get backsided at any chances caught, even tho this show is about the Twins atleast give them equalities of each other, i see the main trio as a human body where Towa and Setsuna is in the outside while Moroha is the *heart inside* without her yashahime won't live, (get what i mean)
Its not just because she's the daughter of the previous main characters Inuyasha and Kagome she's *more* then that!
I want to see Moroha's other true self, her past story etc. because there is deeply more then her being the funny character here,
I do love how the people in charge of her personality and looks its very magnificent but i get that they still didn't see her full potential, She's genuinely capable at getting her own full story arc in the show, in fact she's capable in many ways possible if the writers or people in charge of her role and story can just fully see it
if its possible if she can can get her own spin-off series where its focus and only her it would be genuinely heart warming and strongly exiting, spinning emotions
I wanted to know why is she always back-sided and has less screen time? Does the people in charge of the show has their reasonable reasons? or are they saving her for something even more "big" in the show
Let’s not under estimate Moroha. She is 1.mentioned in prophecy and she’s the one that has a lot power. She’s not just a quarter demon she’s the grand daughter Dog Demon God and daughter high priestess. Just like her father she’s going catch up to the others and just like her father she’s going to gain crazy strength
She should be silly. In a family dynamic she’s more of the little sister to her twin cousins
What Moroha needs is a focus on the tragic nature of her plight. Maybe have her sold off again revealing the danger she is in or get seriously hurt.

It’s these sort of things where long winding series with fillers are for so that they don’t keep crossing important moments with essentially comedic bits since longer series can help allow the characters to grow more in the eyes of the audience, not saying that short series can’t do that too but I feel like a longer running series would have worked better in terms of developing the girls though
I def agree, I wouldn't even mind the 'she never gets the bounty' joke if they'd gone with what I expected when I heard she was a bounty hunter; making her the kind of character who only cares about making money (would go great with her 'hey does kirinmaru have a bounty on his head? no? then I don't care have fun girls" bit) but instead they made it her trying to buy her own freedom and never being able to, and the implication that she'll never be free, essentially making her a slave, is just....awful. the cost the entire cast had to pay for a sequel is so incredibly sad, and that really undercuts all the humor for me.
the only other issue I have with her is the over use of beni, esp since they all KNOW it's eating at her soul and slowly killing her, just like going full demon does to everyone else, yet she still uses it uncomfortably freely. Inuyasha never willingly turned, at least, not after learning what was really happening and how dangerous it was. it was a rare and scary thing that was very impactful when it did happen, yet beni feels like its used constantly, or at least that she's automatically going for it far more than she should, and she doesn't even seem to hesitate all that much despite the danger. there is no being pushed to the absolute brink and having no other choice (like it should be) it's just. opponent is slightly harder than expected, use beni. like, legit, how has she not run out of the damn stuff yet.
I really wish they'd given themselves more time to really properly flesh out the characters, story, and plot progression.
Moroha is my favourite out of the trio that sadly doesn't get a lot of attention in the show. I get that Yashahime is supposed to focus mainly on Sesshomaru's daughters but we never really get any bonding moments between the three. Also I hate that she keeps getting sidelined during most battles because she has proven a number of times that she's a strong fighter but she gets reduced to being the third wheel.

I think moroah is a good character, she being over comedic relief only to let the twins shine(in the first episodes she was so knowledgeable).
I think her powers have a lot of potential but I don’t like it that most of her attacks are from copy paste from inuyasha, I would like her to have her own attacks, most of the time she fights I know what she will do and most cases is only to remind us inuyasha.
Benihasha is over used, I liked it in he beginning, now I think it doesn’t help her at all, I hope that’s not the limit of her demon power (seems like the writers didn’t think too much about quarter demon).
Definitely she has huge potential and I think a series about her where she improve her demon and spiritual powers and learning the dissonance between them can be better than yashahime and let us explore different places (we already explored hanyo).
