- What a weekend it was. The Old Timer Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in Germany is one the the biggest collections of classic and rare cars in the world. What's more they race to the limit. We were there with the V8stealthbeetle. The first time the public had had chance to look over her, and the interest and feedback was fantastic. Enjoy this rather self indulgent look back at the weekend. See if you can spot your favourite classic car from days gone by. Wow, thanks guys. That old timer GP looks like petrol head heaven. The action on track would have been amazing, and walking around the pits seeing all those beautiful old cars, even better.

Everybody complaining about no lap times... They chose to debut the car at an event for the attention and because it is where the owner lives. But to "The Ring" if it's not competing in the event, it doesn't belong on the track during the event. Make sense now? This isn't a track day, it's a classic car event.
Oh great, now I have to start over on my ‘61 Bug project! This looks awesome. Any way we could drop it about 4 inches, too? The kit sounds like a great idea. Thanks for giving Bugs a new life!

This is a well engineered car. It wouldn't be my first choice to spend $80k but I am sure after they build all their production cars when they are on the used market for a while the price will go down a little hopefully
You guys create a beast car and all I see are videos conducting miss daisy like ! Where can I see this car really showing what it is capable of ? Can it really run fast ? Can it really corner fast ? I would really like to see that .Thank you very much

How is classified by the tuv? As a modified beetle of the 70's or a new handbuild kitt car. Did yours maintain the original vin number or did you have to replace it. It would make a big difference in costs to owning one in some parts of Europe where I live.

Where are the specifications? The website is only a redirect, and the resulting pages have no info on the car apart from a few pictures.

No detailed or close up footage of the Beetle's engine? or even tease of engine idle sound? Or exposition of the Beetle doing a lap around the track? .. This isn't how you Market to serious enthusiasts looking for a new toy. The fabrication and execution IS stellar, but this really a fluff teaser video.. Bring that Beetle back to Nurburgring for a lap when it's finished with go-pro cameras inside and out, then get back to me.

There are many episodes showing the engine, and everything else, so why show it again?
We delivered the car to our agent, and it was his idea to show her off to the public.
It was a race day, we were not allowed to put her on the track.
Track testing will be done with our in-house car, all in good time.

Thanks Bill for the feedback... I was thinking of stopping the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup so we could have a quick spin on the track.... but they weren't too happy with that, ah well, next time... If you would like a vehicle, you know where we are...
Yo thought we were going to see the car in action and here some specification about the car how fast does it go for all you've done if it's not a 150 mile an hour car it was a waste of time

What was the Top Speed you run at the Nurburgring in Germany ?
The Car we have been seeing from the Beginning has its steering on the RIGHT Side, but the one shipped to Germany for the Race is actually different - steering at the LEFT side. So what's going on here? Thanks!
Hi Mark, believe it or not they are different cars...The grey one is RHD in South Africa, The Gulf Oil blue is LHD for Germany. We make and sell them around the world...

We didn't take it on the track. It was still waiting for TUV test which it has now passed...
I wanted to see it go around the track. :(

Your videos are of the same high standard as everything you build as far as this 69 yr.old Aussie video producer & petrol head is concerned. The reaction of the spectators to your car? I know I would go through every one of those steps you laid out. Or as someone in the know thanks to this film series, maybe I'd just come screaming through the pits like a moth drawn to a light with my tongue dragging on the ground. Did you get any of those?

I have watched several of their videos, and its a big yawn fest.. Can we see a REAL DRIVER put this thing to the test. I want to see this thing ripping around the track, pulling a massive burn out, how about a fast 1/4 mile. Who thought lets build this "super fast V8 Bug" then drive it like a 80 grandma would drive it.. WTF?
