Its really sad that this romanctic story has gotten so many bad reviews and is not well known because of that.
Marianne and Bog King are the MOST UNDERRATED COUPLE EVER. They truly symbolize two people from different worlds falling in love, AND its a Heroine and Villain to boot!
I wish the uniqueness of this story was MUCH more appreciated. So what if its a jukebox musical with 13 songs?? The underlying moral in this is amazing! 💙

Bad reviews? The critics of this movie surely don't know how to appreciate a good story. My daughter and I watched this when she was just 3yo and she loved it. Now she's 6 and it's still one of our favorite movies. The message is clear, true love can bring entirely different individuals & different worlds together.

This movie get's an uncalled for and unnecessary amount of hate that I think is outrageous. This movie is beautiful, whimsical and lovable with unique characters, an amazing soundtrack and talented cast, and I fell in love with this song when I first heard it. I wish there were more films out there like this, because I don't know what there is to hate! It get's it's point across wonderfully, and I think this is my all-time favourite movie EVER which *compares* it to "The Phantom of the Opera", and (Christopher Reeve's) "Superman", which are other timeless classics!
At the time the critics loved to rag on George Lucas, so I’m convinced a bunch of them didn’t even actually watch it. Those same critics gave Force Awakens glowing reviews just to spite George

You're right. I was suprised how much this movie is good. A little bit of reality, little bit of fantasy but that movie shows that we shouldn't judge book by its cover - and finally main character isn't beautiful, shiny, glittery prince but a little harsh (but in reality very kind) person.

The amount of times I’ve rewatched this movie since I found out about it years ago is tremendous. The characters, their voices AND their singing voices are so freaking amazing. The way love was shown in here was also interesting to say the least. The fact that I’m don’t like action and romance together but I still loved this so much is saying something. ❤
