This is a fantastic classic movie. A Howard Hughes production with some of the finest actors. Howard was an amazing man that did amazing accomplishments, and this movie added to that list
I love this and wish it really happened like this. Good on Howard Hughes for making this movie some of the old movie’s are still good to this day 2023 January 21❤
This classic film is remarkable for the genius of Howard Hugh's. I have watched nearly all, but the spaghetti westerns are B films terrible to say the least. I am 67 and sat in front of a test screen until the movie began. I am still a huge fan of the classic films and this one has a twist of great camera work. The finest I have ever watched. Thanks Grjngo!
This was a good movie. I watched partially because Howard Hawks was the director, and partly because Howard Hughes was the producer, but mostly because I wanted to see a young Jane Russell. Even if this was historically inaccurate, I liked it. Thanks Gringo for uploading it.
I did not think I was going to like this movie but after about 15 to 20 minutes, I was hooked! The ending was not easy to guess on this movie, despite how silly different scenes seem to be written, and I liked that. They were really some very good portions of the movie that I thought were outstanding but all in all, this movie, it was very enjoyable, even if it was funny in places.!
I'm glad to watch the outlaw. Is a true favorite movie film they made. I enjoyed the romance and what a great movie production. Awesome western performance. 🤩⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This movie is hilarious. Pure genius. My copy is black and white and getting really fuzzy. I very much appreciate that I found The Outlaw on here. (This is the main reason I'm having a hard time leaving UA-cam. So much good content that's really hard to find anywhere else.)
My best western ever Jane Russell fantastic actress I liked her great performance she is fantastic I am glad to see this western the best western ever 🍓🍒🍎🍉🍑
Iconic cast, producer, and director, and very different from most cowboy films of that era. Interesting, but at times a bit slow and the plot is kinda goofy. Still, it remains a western classic.
How to make a great movie - Howard Hughes way (he really was the real director) - In the final scene, a car can be seen in the distance passing from left to right.
@@higgsmerino3925Merino Those days negative is very expense so it wasn't be practical to remake it. Nowadays it might be easy. Using software to erase off the car, it was the restriction that created good director.
This Movie is A Classic....Jack Beutel is very underrated as an Actor and Makes Billy The Kid believable, especially up against Doc Holliday, who is well-played by Walter Huston....Jane Russell is My Fav Female Actress in her Debut here and she was Very Sexy Indeed, in the Role of Rio😍👍
I’m surprised as old as I am that I haven’t seen this movie yet I remember parts of it I think as it goes along I can remember a little bit but it’s been should I think it’s been 140 years since I’ve seen this movie I know the time and date you put on it but it’s made earlier than that
Well done !! I,m also colorizing old videos , btw why did you not upscale it to wide screen? Keep up the cool work , if I can help colorizing just call !
So, in this true story era 1850's it proclaims that Jesse James was an outlaw. In fact, he was a Christian man who repeatably said "Love thy Neighbor." By bringing together the townspeople; mostly mixed with other nationalities a procurement would be installed in them to lessen fear, give respect, and work together in unity. I know my grandfather was friends with Jesse James. The tables turned when he got shot, and the verse took precedence: Proverbs 13:1 Site Map - Supreme Court of the United States Chief Justice's Year-End Reports on the Federal Judiciary Detect the Differences: Lions in the Great Oaths Taken by the Chief Justices Oaths Taken by the Current Court Orders by Circuit - Term Year 2011
I like a good western as long as it is fiction. I don’t like them if it’s made up history. I don’t recall Doc Holliday , Pat Garret and Billy the kid liking like friends. Also Billy the Kid had a top hat, not a cowboy hat. If the story is based on historic people, I expect some truth.
I dunno, but, does anybody feels that this is a pre-BrokebackMountain movie? There are some insinuations about the "friendly" relationship between Doc and Pat, and the jealous of him about Doc going over the Kid. Instead of fighting about which will retain Rio, they fight about a horse and who will be the ¿best friend? of the other... uhmm
A good film. In hindsight the original criticism is not warranted. Maybe the original objections had to do with this being an “anti-western” - against traditional “old west” values (see Hopalong Cassidy, The Cisco Kid, The Lone Ranger; any movies by the “Singing Cowboy” Gene Autry or Roy Rogers/Dale Evens).
Good movie and fun to watch but using Garret as the sherif kinda out of date range isn’t it? Wyatt Earp/Doc Holiday and Garret/Billy the kid days were far apart. No history records of Garret and Doc Holiday friendship that I ever seen. A little overboard on the friendship idea between Garret and Doc as well. Well, it’s fiction and just a movie, fun to watch for sure. Don’t know what all the desire for Jane Russel is either. Showing cleavage is all she has going for her in my opinion but not very pretty. Hollywood back then was guessing when producing westerns.
!st.: I get so tired of all the shills who gush and gush about how good these crappy movies are. Just sayin' something's good doesn't make it so. That said... A really odd mixture of drama and comedy. I doubt that think it was ever intended to be a dramedy, but it was. Still, I watched it all the way through.
For me any episode involving Billy the Kid, Pat Garret and Doc Holiday is a good watch
Movie has a lot of twist and turns. Romance, excitement. Lovely enjoyed it. Thank you. 😊
