Couldn't find a video on how to remove the TT's door panels so i decided to make one. first ever tutorial
Great video! I would suggest popping the other sides of the rubber corner panels out of the metal of the door itself, rather than from the plastic door panel. It’s much easier to get the rubber “posts” back into the metal holes on the door than the plastic ones on the panel. They’re a tight fit, and the plastic will flex when you try to push them back in.
That’s a top tip!! I’ve just found out the hard way!!!

Nicely done! Still, I don't recommend using a drill on that bolt; just use a hand driver. Snap that bolt, cross thread it, or strip the insert nut and you'll never find anything like them, ruining your whole day!

Hey dude, love your videos. Do you know how I can install some door light projectors (puddle lights) into my Mk1?
I had looked into the idea, even bought the slide puddle lights but never got to it I think it would be an easy instal as long as you wire everything well

Theres an already existing “square” on the bottom of the door it has a plastic piece that you can take off i never tried to fit it in there or anything but that would be what i would use and obviously take off the door panel to route my wires thru the where the oem speaker wires go through and just fish the wires to where the fuse box is (driver side panel on the dash) after just use a volt meter and test what fuse you wanna tap into and done lol pretty simple but i know its alot of work 😂

I have 2001 TT. driver door will not open from inside....or outside....any suggestions?
That's a tough one as you normally have to open the door to remove the inside panel. The inner door panel pulls up once the single bolt is removed from behind the silver round cap, but there are two rubber pieces which have to be removed to allow the panel to slide up. Can't see these being removed with the door shut as there's no room. I would spray inside the lock through the key hole with wd40, then try opening it with your main key. If that doesnt work, if you have a spare key try that. When you use the fob and press unlock can you hear anything happening on the driver's door. If the door lock mechanism is broken then there might be a way to get to the lock with a wire between the widow and seal but not sure if its possible. The door handle might have to be removed from the outside to get access to the lock, not sure if you can do this in a non destructive way but if you can't might be able to replace with a 2nd hand painted part off ebay . The door lock is quite cheap as well about £30. Good luck.
