as a ballet student its so nice to see a professional doing not insane amounts of turns and really having to work hard at things, thank you for putting this out :)
it was really cool to hear you saying little things to yourself while you danced, since you were wearing a mic. i’m a ballet student and when i’m trying a hard step i do that too, often without realizing, especially with intricate combos. you were amazing btw ❤
@@dancingwithmackenzieit’s only unpopular with young dancers who haven’t seen girls getting low scores internationally at IBC and the Grand Prix etc for having their leg too high during a variation or adding too many turns at the expense of artistry. Sadly YAGP and the dance mom convention/competition scene that only began in the 2000s has encouraged this insane increase in turns, extensions and other tricks by studios churning out prize winners. Many of them do really well but others are just shocked when they are the “best” at all the auditions and the director hires someone who fell down or stumbled. The people in charge of the major companies absolutely did not grow up with this competitive gymnastics environment. They want dancers who can blend well with the corps, act and do character roles, who have resilience and keep going. Everyone is so good you can’t just hire the best technical dancer. They don’t need someone who can do lots of skills but an artist who can work in corps, smaller ensemble work, solos, act in any character role and adapt and learn fast but also it’s so important that they have a quality that is so hard to describe. A combination of technical skill, artistry, musicality, to be able to feel deep emotions and convey it to the audience. They have to become the part they dance. If someone gets injured and they have never seen a trio dance before they might have 1 day to learn it. Or even 20 minutes. You just never know some companies travel without a lot of members
Muchos desvalorizan las vueltas de Melanie, pero la fuerza, equilibrio y fluidez que ella tiene al ejecutarlas es fruto de años de práctica, trabajo y un talento inigualable ❤ ella es increíble 😊
Mackenzie, I been following you for at least 8 years or so? I always said it and I will always say it: it’s not about doing 20 piourettes, I mean it’s entertaining and I truly see the amount of work these girls put into that. But for me it’s especially that little spark not everyone has, but you have! I just love watching you on stage and in your videos.
Don’t worr that you didn’t get the triples en dedans from Melanie’s Esmeralda (don't understand me wrong, You were awesome ❤️❤️❤️). Melanie is the Girl who litarly mastered 19 (19,5!) Pirouettes without fouettés, at only the age of 16 or 17. She is like the Natalia Osipova or Marianela Nuñez of the next generation, and especially her turns are stunning. And I think you was so good, you’re dancing is so good too and you’re actually one of the reasons why I dance, you’re such an inspiration for me ❤️
Pulling off crazy turns is impressive, but this obsession is starting to overshadow what makes ballet special in the first place. When it's all about the physical stunts instead of telling a story or expressing emotion, it's like watching a gymnastics routine instead of experiencing a beautiful art form. I am honestly so bored watching master ballet girls and dancers alike on stage. They dance like soulless robots. If I wanted to see these tricks, I would go to the circus. Ballet's about more than just showing off how many spins you can do; it's about connecting with the audience on a deeper level through movement and feeling.
Love the Esmeralda!! 🫶😁
Love you Melanie!❤
aw thanks 🥰
Omg I love you mel ❤❤❤
Omg hi Mel!!! I luv ur vids sm ❤
Melanie! Say hi to Eva and tell her that I'd do 25 pirouettes on flat to talk to her
the master ballet academy girls are truely insane. theyre so talented!
Ik they’re WILDD
The master Academy girls are literally incredible
as a ballet student its so nice to see a professional doing not insane amounts of turns and really having to work hard at things, thank you for putting this out :)
Thank you for showing that it’s not all about how many turns you can do! You are a beautiful dancer !💜🩰
Thank you so much!!
I love how you kept saying "I'm gonna do this one once or only twice" and then kept trying, bc that would so be me haha love the dedication!
Says in the intro she's looking for hard turns
Me, instantly: Ah, so one of Melanie's?
It is so cool to watch this. Most video show perfect endings and not the real work that goes into it
Things I would love to watch:
Leotard collection with try on
Pointe shoe history (what brands and styles have you tried)
More of you dancing!
love this master ballet academy and mackenzie crossover 😊😊💜💜💜
Hahahhahaha🩷
You’re an awesome dancer! Wow!
Thank you so much!!

I agree the artistry and musicality is majorly way more important
😄 yes, maybe an unpopular opinion?? Idk hahah but idc

She was able to do 20!
she and the whole master ballet crew is definitely taking ballet technique and athleticism to a whole new level
Really? Did she mastered the 20?
@@Ohana1-l4y definitely not master, but she was able to do it once after consistent 19s
Yes it was insane
The first one was soooo good
Could you do a video teaching a classical variation but modified for beginner/intermediate on pointe?
Just thought you should know theres a UA-cam member called Kashifaislam who claims that Mackenzie is in fact the daughter of the Prince of Wales
worlds are colliding!!😆 loved to see melanie and amber from MBA!
do you mind sharing where your leotard is from?
Anyone else thought that Mackenzie was going to recreate Melanie's 20 pirouettes
Oh Geez, there is a Hailey Bieber video of her doing Esmeralda perfectly. You can do that!!!
nice job!
Do you have a link to the leotard you’re wearing in the vid? It’s so pretty! Amazing dancing btw ❤️

Jeez Louise…..this is for fun….dont have to take it so seriously and diss those girls 🙄
Amber is a beautiful dancer and if she thinks her turns are good she should see Melanie😱😱😱😱but overall all the girls at that studio are amazing 🤩
You are not doing badly at all!
