I agree with what the pink lady said about going after the wrongdoers within a corporation, but I disagree with what she said about limited punishment of the corporation itself. The shareholders are the ones who will need to hold the corporation to account, and they too must feel the pain when a corporation is punished, otherwise they won't. Harsh fines and disqualification from bidding on federal projects are necessary if corporate shareholders are to take this seriously.

Seize the corrupt company, sell it to Stantec or PCL or any other reputable contract management company and permanently bar all former senior management from ever working for a company eligible for government contracts. The Liberals should stop using "Mario Pinoccio" as a spokesman on these shows. About a week ago he got told the same thing by Evan Solomon "you didn't answer my question" and Michelle Rempel tore him a new sphincter.

My federally owned company Atomic Energy of Canada AECL was sold to SNC in 2011, by the Harper government. The bidding was done in secret, and SNC violated the terms of that agreement several times on the way to securing the winning bid, after their chief opposition withdrew. The deal stank of underhanded dealing, just months before this whole cesspool was exposed. If the conservatives are suspicious of SNC ethics and dealings on legal and commercial contracts, they should know, because those same activities went on under Harper and with Harper. Unfortunately , Harper's government was even more secret than they allege the liberal government is now.
