We agree it's hot. No air conditioner. Thank goodness there is no humidity, to go with it.
Yes it would be so much worse
Be thankful it doesn't get to humid in Ajijic. I live in Ensenada and it stays pretty cool here year round, you always have to have a hoody handy especially for when the sun goes down. The ocean along this stretch is cool in the summer at about 64 and down to around 57 in the winter so it to tends keep it temperate year round. I surfed a couple days ago and the water was a chilly 62. Today it was the warmest day of the year so far at 69 and sunny. I live in a thick walled cement house so it's always cool inside. The nights are always comfortable for sleeping with temps in the mid 50's with heavy blankets needed for winter nights down into the 40's. For people who are considering moving to Mexico I recommend putting the basic "Weather"app on your phone. You can put in up to 20 cities for up to the minute temperatures with a 9 day forecast. I see it was a warm 90 degrees today in Ajijic with a 25% humidity factor and will get down to 73 by 12am and down to 64 overnight. Mucha suerte desde la hemosa Ensenada!
Thanks so much. Soooo interesting! Now I want to add Ensanada ro my list to visit!
I think you got me with the cool sleeping weather. These warm spells have me hoping for an escape!
Thanks for sharing this. So good to have a perspective for other locations. It is helpful for us AND the others who read the comments.
I've been sitting in front of a fan all day.
LOL!!! Yeeees!!!
KJ, love the shirt!
Thanks!
Hi Craig and KJ! LOL! Great video!
One thing we do that makes a huge difference is...
We got a small, Stanley, contractor fan on Amazon and have it outside blowing the cool, night air inside.
We actually end up under the blanket during the night.
We only used our bedroom AC once, then we thought about the fan trick!
Cheers!
Hoooowdy!! Yeah, we have a fan pulling the outside air in our bedroom at night. By early morning when it's cooled off it's nice. Thankfully these last few days haven't been too bad!
Oh, stay cool you guys! At times like this, I would miss having a basement.
A basement would be great!
You boys really need to visit Mazatlán in the summer! LoL. One reason I moved from Seattle was because the weather here is so much better ... but summer = Houston. There are tricks. Always walk on the shady side of the street. Stay inside/take a siesta between 11-3. Visit places that are air conditioned. ALWAYS carry water (ALWAYS). If you own your place, make sure you have air conditioning - minimally in the bedroom. If not, buy some evaporative cooling towels off Amazon and use them to get to sleep! And learn to be ok with sweating. Some of the locals sweat, so it's not just because I'm a gringo! ¡Gracias por el video!
Thanks! Allll of that is true.
We definitely want to visit Mazatlan!

@@emaffett yesss. We have 2 fans in our bed room and 3 that circulate air throughout. It makes a massive difference
It's a dry heat If that was Chicago right now it would feel worse It's very humid in Chicago and the Midwest in general
Chicago can be brutal when hot!
Get yourselves an induction burner. They're pretty cheap $50-60. They put out zero heat, zero! I bought one to use when I redid my kitchen and was going to buy a fancy gas stove , but the induction burner we had to use in the basement changed my mind.
We have one that a friend bought us! It's great, but some things we cook in the big chili pot are too big for it. :-)
Hmmm, based on the timing, the heat could have snuck into our luggage and gotten loose. Sorry. Just stuff it in a duffle and bring it north with you on your next visit to Vegas. It'll be right at home with the other ridiculously hot summer temps we have. Until then, cool showers and ice cream!
Cool showers are real.... and I sometimes go places in the car just to feel a.c.
What? Craig has no internal clock? Shocking. :)
ROFL!!!
Is it Hot dry or humid hot?
MOSTLY hot and dry... but there is also the rare humidity due to the Lake. So you get kind of a intense dry landscape with dust and brown mountains, but sometimes a hot, sunny day has the smell of evaporated lake water when you're near the waterfront. Bit it's a situational humidity. We are at a higher elevation so the air is thinner and dry, so it doesnt hold humidity. Once the rains begin in June... it will be humid but Cooker. So 70 degrees may feel a bit muggy with lots of mosquitos. That is usually only during the main month of rain (mostly at night after a few days) and the whole place turns green ... so you dont really mind too much.
What's 'hot'?
Internet weather shows mid-80's with 16%?
It can get to 90 or more for a couple hours each day with a heat index of 95 or more because of the intense sun. (We are st s higher elevation so the sun is more intense) Plus consider there is no air conditioner in our house so it sort of stagnates. It can be both warm and enjoyable, or stuff and sweltering. Depends on the day and duration of heat wave. Luckily it's only up to 6 weeks and there are often fluctuations downward in temp.
@@TrulyRemarkableLife Tucson has been mid-80's-90 for a few weeks..I'm fortunate to be on top of a pass and get breezes. I can deal with the heat but it's the humidity that keeps me down..
...which you do not have.
@@jerrycallender-qm7zr it may not be humid there but when you have the house open, you get the heat and the smoke from all the field fires (mostly controlled). It’s rough. Add to that the dust of dry season. If you don’t sweep or vacuum every day, you can write on the accumulated surface dust with your fingers.
I’ve been watching the weather over there. I had a feeling it was getting pretty miserable without air con. I didn’t have it in San Diego for about 10 years. It was about the same…just a few miserable weeks where you had to get creative to stay cool. Makes you appreciate the rest of the year! 😉
Get AIR CONDITIONING!!!! I can't believe I waited for 3 years it changed my life!!! Why did I wait soooo long? Stupid!!!
We would ... and talked about it often... but we rent and it is difficult to install in our house.
