  • Our community is coming together for another momentous fundraiser to help bring extraordinary Dunedin, Florida history to life for generations to come!
With your generous donation, large or small, the City of Dunedin and the Dunedin History Museum present a Digital Preservation endeavor of the famous and once spectacular 1925 Kellogg Mansion landmark, also known as Dunedin Isles Villa Marina.

After exhaustively pursuing all possibilities, physical preservation was proven unattainable. The cost in the millions of obtaining available land, moving the 18-inch masonry walled buildings, renovation, operations, staffing, and maintenance is unfeasible.
As a community, we faced unearthing a novel alternative to chronicle the landmark's incredible significance and set meaningful history straight. The answer before us is a more remarkable and unprecedented 3D public access utilizing ultra-modern technology at a fraction of the cost.
While the non-profit organization has revered all obstacles in recovering lost income during the pandemic, resident volunteers aim to put our beloved Dunedin History Museum on the national museum map. All while providing the public with enriched Eden of the Gulf historic treasures well beyond our lifetimes.
The completed 3-tiered Digital Preservation provides:
    • Photorealistic 3D renderings of the rare Mediterranean Revival-style architecture.
    • Stories of our historic and eclectic residents.
    • Interactive audio/video presentations.
    • W.K. Kellogg's generous contributions to Dunedin's U.S. Marine WWII significance.
    • Renderings of later century lavishly eccentric renovations.
After years on the market, the property has at long last found new owners who have generously stalled new construction to graciously provide access before its razing, now just weeks away.
While we gain little from speculating the intent of recent actions that destroyed the near 100-year elements, modern technology affords us an exclusive opportunity to right an injustice. The neglected and now ransacked condition has diminished the original project scope of capturing most of its once regal beauty. Instead, we pivot to further re-creation of artifacts and elements, digitally rendered and remastered from collected photography.
