Volbeat and Illumise are not useless because you can always trade regionals with people from other regions. Just kidding, I never travel nor meet travellers, extra regionals are just gathering dust in my box.
Sure, Sudowoodo is useless but finding it’s shiny was such a pleasure to me. I remember when I was a child with a copy of Pokémon Emerald that my mom had bought me. I still have the memory of finding it post game while trying to cut down a tree. Useless? Yes. Memorable? Yes too haha
I don't have much experience but as bad as Sudowoodo is ranked, I've been using it somewhat consistently and it does pretty good. Maybe I'm so low ranked on level 20 that I get thrown in with players worse than me.🤷♂️
I have a shundo Sudowoodo and it was useful this Holiday Cup with no CP higher than 1500. 👍🏻 But other than that I agree with everything else on this list. I've not caught a LuvDisc yet but I would love to have one just for the PokeDeck entry 😋 and that my avatar wears the 80's throwback LuvDisc sweater 😜.
I actually used a Dunsparce amd Girafarig in th recent Sunshine Great League Cup amd had great success with both lol. Also, Combee gives extra stardust amd gives camdy for when you evolve amd power up to Vespiqueen. I also use Shedinja in low turnover time gyms to incentivise taking it out.
I would strongly disagree with Sudowoodo. It is at least usable in GBL and in some of the cups, it has been very good. Dunsparce is by far the most useless in my opinion. No relevance in battles. Hard to catch. No evolution. Not rare. Just the worst Pokémon in the game.
It has drill run and rock slide as charge move. Give it a good fast move, it will skyrocket in the meta as it is bulky. Then you'll be looking around hunting or looking for trade for Dunsparce
Because of the addition of the 4 star tracker in the Pokédex I found out I had a 4 star duncparce that I got rid of since I never had a reason to use it.
4* are fun to power up to the max and buddy up with no matter what it is. I have a pundo Wobbuffet and Delibird and their max CP is only above 1,000 but that doesn’t bother me.
Sudowoodo is one of those Pokemon with perfect IVs maxes out at 2400 something at lvl 50 having high stat product for ultra league. I caught a Hundo Shadow Sudowoodo 2 months ago, and I do plan to max to try as a spice pick for ultra league. I'd run counter + Meteor Beam & Rockslide/Earthquake
Unown could be really useful if Game Freak and would give them a revamp. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could have a swarm form, akin to the School Form of Wishiwashi? Like, if you're able to collect a certain amount of the the alphabet, you unlock a swarm form of Unown where they attack as a unit and have boosted stats and more powerful attacks.
Imagine if you could spell out the word of a type and they would fuse together become a Psychic-Whatever and get a special move like with rotom forms (ex. F-I-R-E would give you fire blast or something)
This is a needed video for a pokemon storage hoarder like myself. Thank you! Wish you would've mentioned catch, but don't power up, Sudowoodo and Combee. Sudowoodo is great to make excellent throws on for XP. Of course, it hops out of pokeballs. And, catching Combee gives extra stardust! Seven times catching a regular pokemon. Of course, it hops out of pokeballs too! 😡 😆 THANK YOU!!!
me too lol... i hatched a 100% IV dunsparce. And my bf ended up with a lucky hundo male combee after trading with me. He will never let me forget this 🤣
The worst part about Plusle is that it was my first shiny. I feel like I eventually have to max it out because of that sole reason. Thankfully, there are a lot more Pokemon out there I need to work on first.
Slaking because of its high CP and uselessness in gym defending. Because of the high CP its always suggested to players and it drags down defending. I would call it negatively useless, forcing its uselessness upon everyone lol.
Slaking is decent at defending gyms. New players will struggle with a slaking. Also in the Masterleague in can farm to 100 energy and fire off a bodyslam and an earthquake back to back. (in case you face a slaking and dont know the moveset you may ending up shielding the first attack, bodyslam and then not shielding the second one, thinking it is another bodyslam, but getting hit by a powerful earthquake while wasting a shield)
Slaking is ok in gym defending cuz it can oneshot any fighter with that fairy move. Especially against grey gym spoofers that constantly attack a gym once its occupied.
some of those starter pokemon that cant evolve are actually good in little cup. Also, be careful of unique types+good defensive stats that can become 1500 CP like dunsparce, and girafarig and sudowoodo. these pokemon may be one move fix away from viability. Just like how a smallmoveset change to spheal made it 1. If they gave dunsparce, girafarig mud shot or something, it will be really really good
I totally disagree upon your call on Dunsparce. It has got drill run and rock slide as the charge move. In the main series it can use fast moves like hex, counter, poison jab and incinerate. It is one of few pokemon able to learn rollout which is community day move for upcoming golem. With Snorlax level bulk don't you think this thing will skyrocket if any of the mentioned fast moves are given to it?
Some of these Pokémon are not useless in pvp during cups. Girafarig is a psychic normal meaning a psychic that resists ghosts. Good against ghosts and counter users like vigoroth. With thunder it can be pretty relevant. Little cups allow costumes to be iv relevant. Sudowoodo has counter so it can be useful in cups where fighting is banned Shuckle maxes out under 500. Don’t fuckle with shuckle. Little cup wrecker if allowed
Sudowoodo and Dunsparce are underrated in the Go Battle League. Sudo scores impressive wins against Bastiodon, Umbreon, Skarm, Walrein, and Powder Snow A-Tales and literally no one plans against it. I've used it during legend pushes before and it is FUN. Dunsparce beats every ghost and almost every anti-ghost except Goon. With a fast move update, it will join the core meta, but even now it shines in cups.
When you say girafarig i a bit surprise because in the past i won a turnamen whit using girafarig. Yes it will not really good in gbl but in a spasial cup it maybe a different story
I find Sudowoodo more useful than a Miltank. A level 50 Sudowoodo maxes out at CP 2428 and can have counter, rock slide, earthquake. All considered decent moves. Another useless one is Aipom / Ambipom. Aipom is difficult to catch and has some of the worst normal typing moves. It has no function. But one major one you forgot was... Attack Forme Deoxys. It's so glassy it can't even get to its charge move before fainting. It's so useless, you forget it exists. And being mythical, you can't even trade it. Horrible pokemon.
Is there a use for Smeargle? Or Ditto? Magicarp at least has its evolution to make it worth the time, but 400 candies' worth? I can't see much of a use for any of them. Then there's Illumise. I've probably caught a hundred of these things. But I've never seen a Volbeat anywhere. Ever. Since 2016. Where are these things hiding?
I used a minun in the holiday cup as real spice pick, and actually not that bad. What makes spicy picks good in pvp is their unpredictable movesets, and in this case minun has grass knot, which is good against alolan graveler, Lapras, and other flying types as well. Of course, super frail and not reliable, but once this works it feels super dope. Can't believe minun is number 2. Shame on you.
I think you had to nail on the head with a lot of those. I think there are quite of you left you could have done at least a top 20. I really enjoy your videos and I always wondered when it meant when it said somebody cheated. I mean really if you're going to play a game what fun is it if you're going to cheat??? I am new to the game I only started in the middle of March but I think I'm doing pretty well, and I appreciate all the advice you give everyday. Thank you for all the time you take out to help the ones of us who sometimes are not sure what is going on....
im not gonna lie, i used sudowoodo for awhile in the great league and ive won many times using it, that was awhile ago tho, the metas of course changed
Baby/costumed pokemon are only relevant if they have 100%ivs and are powered up to lvl 50 for the great league...Shuckle has the highest defense Stat in the game so it's great in a gym esp if it's a buddy-boosted hundo...Sudowoodo at 100%ivs surprises opponents in the Ultra League
Shedninja is not usless in the main stream games. It can set its opponents health to its health in the main games but yes I do know he is talking about just Pokémon go
In the days i started game (like 1 month ago bcs idk xd) there was so many sudowoodos pawning and they were pretty usefull on flying type mon raids bcs of rock type attacks it wasnt really sudowoodoo spotlight hour idk why i found so many of them
Here are 10 pokemon worse than Sudowoodoo or Plusle/Minun (2 of these 3 at least have gotten usage in limited silph cups and still could be prevalent in pvp if gbl forms right conditions.. same can't be said for these 10 which have no pvp, gym defense or raid merits): Stantler, Tauros, Runerigus, Deoxys Speed/Attack (counting this as one), G-weezing, Throh, Accelgor, Volbeat/Illumise (again counting these as 1), musharna (hypno does same job but better in every way from pvp to gym defense) and Beheeyem (same stuff as musharna - heck, even "confusion + rock slide" niche use is done better by Gothitelle who has better stats even at great league AND Gothitelle can be powered up for ultra league as well) - note that i avoided using mon that you can evolve cuz at least that gives exp in return. These either currently don't have evolution lines or are final evolutions AND ARE STILL TRASH. Many of them have tackle, ashtonish, strugglebug or zen headbutt as best move they have. Or even when they have decent fast move they lack the stats for all kinds of battling from pvp to raids - and have much tankier counterparts for gym defense. Edit: i know that many of these mon are just fast move away from becoming relevant. G-weezing being one of the most interesting ones and runerigus would be really close to becoming actual meta. But i listed these with their current state - where they are just bad.
Revised top 10 Useless pkmn besides needing a Pokedex entry if they have no other viable use or reason to catch other than just that then this is what my list will count. 10. Regigigas, yes it is thoretically a powerful Pokemon able to get close to Cp 5000 with bulk, but it's movepool consists of excessively high energy charged attacks thus not being useful in master nor can be used as a gym defender 9. Alomola (yes it maxes at 2400 something theretically having potential to be good in ultra but it's movepool I couldn't see using it myself for charges attacks are blizzard and hydropump which deal high damage but have excessively high energy requirements and the fastest move that it gets is psychic which is ok but it doesn't get stab with it and it's definitely not the spammiest move either especially considering it's 2 fast attacks are only waterfall and hidden power which don lt generate alot of energy. 8. Chatot 7. Plusle/Minum 6.Mienshao(Granted it's a Pokemon with a decent 258 base attack and is somewhat of a rare hatch out of an egg, and can get up to around cp 3000ish which means it could be use for great or ultra league however it wouldn't do that good to begin with, as it has incredibly low defense and a lack luster move pool. It has low kick which is garbage fast move, and posion jab which is decent but it don't get stab and don't compliment it much, also gets grass knot it's ok but again it's not grass, stone edge ok but not good for it, and for fighting move it gets brick break and other than being spammy for shields it's a terrible fighting charged move. Thus I see no purpose in powering up or using Mienshao. 5. Luvdisc 4. Shadow Shuckle 3. Dunsparce 2. Wormadam- It had a cp that it can be used in great league however it would be a horrible choice as it just has struggle as a charged move. 1.Smergle
I have had my rear end handed to me by so many sudowudos that I have a deep hatred for them. 😂 Being from the south United States, it’s always reminded me of being sent to pick a switch that I will then return to whoever sent me so that they may strike me with it. He’s the personification of the switches I had to pick. I hate him but I also want one.😂
What cheat is used to get the candy count on the screen. The unown being a rare collector’s item would not have 845 candy. That would mean it was caught many times over
I literally have a 100% male combee and was so happy because i have only two hundos including the combee I was in denial for so long but i think its time to admit to my self, that pokemon is completely useless Cute af But useless xD
I was on that train until I found out about the "Assessment" feature 2 weeks ago. I maxed out crap stats pokemon. Now I feel like I need to get at least 3 star to max. I wasted so much time and stardust on crap Stat pokemon. 😒
What is the most useless Pokémon in your opinion? Let me know below!
Why isn't ditto on this list?
pacharisu
feebas and magikarp are so bad they're called feebass and magikrap
What about Basculin?! 🤔
Sunkern
The usefulness of both Girafarig and Sudowoodo is that they have nice hit boxes and are great for the bonus excellent throw XP.
I agree
And helpful for completing the task to get spinda.
@@erikbennett9083 I guess, but for greats most pokemon will do fine🤔
I love girafarig
@@geertjalving8474 yeah, but 5 in a row can be a challenge.
Technically a male combee is more useful then some of the others listed because at least they give you candy so you can evolve the female
Plus it gives a stardust boost
combee isn’t useless it’s give us 750 stardust every time , but i think you can replace combee with volbeat and illumise
Volbeat and Illumise are not useless because you can always trade regionals with people from other regions. Just kidding, I never travel nor meet travellers, extra regionals are just gathering dust in my box.

sudowoodo has good moves and can be useful in limited cups and formats, such as silph tournaments or the upcoming Johto cup. Dunsparce is ->
Yep, minun also has solid stats for great league, but it needs a slightly better fast move to shine more in the GL meta.
Smeargle, Ditto, and Delibird should have made the list in my opinion.
Definitely agree with Unown and Luvdisk for sure though.
Male Combee has two things going for it. It gives you candy for Vespiqueen and you get a lot of stardust when you catch it.
I catch every combee for stardust reasons. That’s its only use case though.

Agreed
Luvdisc annoys me, because in the main games it was the mon to grind heart scales so it shouldve at least had extra stardust to represent this.
Girafarig and shadow Girafarig can do quite well in great league with preferable PvP IVs and got a few shadows with good PvP ivs
This is a great video, watch it in 2x playback speed & it’s great, would love to see a top 50 list as I think I have way too many useless Pokémon !
Unown could be really useful if Game Freak and would give them a revamp. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could have a swarm form, akin to the School Form of Wishiwashi?

Yup just about any of these Pokémon can become useful with a simple move change 👌

Slaking because of its high CP and uselessness in gym defending. Because of the high CP its always suggested to players and it drags down defending. I would call it negatively useless, forcing its uselessness upon everyone lol.
They’re so easy to take down aren’t they? Totally laughable and ugly to boot!
I laugh when people put slaking in the gym
Slaking is decent at defending gyms. New players will struggle with a slaking.

Much better than others with “my Shundo collection”
some of those starter pokemon that cant evolve are actually good in little cup. My only good Togekiss is a 12/13/11.
But I have a shiny, 98% flower crown (15/15/14) Togepi.
broooo the togepi is crazy good 4 you that’s my favorite pokemon

Combee is definitely useless, but its 750 stardust percatch definitely worthed it
I used Minun in a Great League Cup and it absolutely dominated. It was easily an MVP of my Great League teams.
Shadow giraffarig is insanely good in the great league
we gotta show a wild spawned unown some love, its super rare to find it in the wild
I’m anxious to see how kecleon’s color change ability will work in Pokémon go
That is the reason why it hasnt been released yet. Niantic wanted to make it a gimmick Mon like Ditto.
But prob. couldnt figure out how to.
Some of these Pokémon are not useless in pvp during cups. Girafarig is a psychic normal meaning a psychic that resists ghosts. Good against ghosts and counter users like vigoroth. With thunder it can be pretty relevant.
Little cups allow costumes to be iv relevant.
Sudowoodo has counter so it can be useful in cups where fighting is banned
Shuckle maxes out under 500. Don’t fuckle with shuckle. Little cup wrecker if allowed
2 of those Pokémon aren’t hard to get boss, I catch em all the time out here on the road, I’m referring to the giraffe and the combee

When you say girafarig i a bit surprise because in the past i won a turnamen whit using girafarig. Yes it will not really good in gbl but in a spasial cup it maybe a different story
I have a 100% purified Shuckle and if I were to max it out, it can be a useful Pokémon for the Little Cup
Little Cup only allows pokemon that can evolve.
Sudowoodo? Say you haven’t played Silph cups without saying you haven’t played Silph cups
Whats a silph cup
(jk)
Combee whether male or not is still good for collecting stardust.
This is why I love seeing them... give me that sweet sweet star dust!
I’m casually shiny hunting Dunsparce. I’m not even an avid collector or anything. I just love that silly snake. Useless or no.
Dunsparce can literally go from zero to hero in the GL if it gets something like counter or mud shot..

Sudowoodo - Any Pokemon in PoGo that has Counter is going to at least be usable for something.
Well hopefully the paradox forms come out soon for Dunsparce and Girafarig.

100% agree with all, especially Dunsparce. Mostly because I have two hundos sadly...
Delibird, smeargle and ledian, oh and now heliolisk

well, sudowoodo and minun are used in PVP sometimes
Great vid! The only one i can say which you did mention was shuckle.. i think shuckle should be number 10 on your list.
my mistake I meant to say a Excellent throw on Sudowoodo.😆😆😆😆
Agreed. Some to mention: Magikarp, Slaking = Yawn!
HUH?! sudowood is one of the most useful pokemon I've used especially to start a battle. it usually can take (and often do) a WHOLE lot of damage.
Honorable mention: Any Pokémon you powered up to use in the league. Since the players always carry a counter to your new warrior, because f*** you.
The only time the useless pokemon is useful is completing field research tasks.
Shedninja is not usless in the main stream games. It can set its opponents health to its health in the main games but yes I do know he is talking about just Pokémon go
Brandon Tan: ooooohh I must power up these pokemon
Wait until they added the dunsparce’s evolution

Sudowoodo is great for one thing only. It has a BIG great throw circle. anything else is trash.😁😁😁😁
I agree with you that combee is useless.... but it do give you 650 stardust witch makes it not useless to catch
What's funny is, male combee is my one and only Hundo 🙃
Dunsparce! I use my little slug kill other Pokémon in the 1500 cp limit battle league. Mine is a ankle biter and it took down a legendary

sudowoodo is good he is winning me everybattle in great league

I keep getting beaten up by plusle and minus but that might just be type effectiveness
Wait, which is the other pokemon (apart from shedinja) not usable in the gbl?
Got a shiny smeargle today. Would have released it had it not been shiny.
Lotad Lotad Lotad Lotad.... it's huge leafy hat gets in the way on the map and it has no use.... even the evolutions.

Shame about Shedinja. Bug/Ghost is a pretty rare and cool combo. I'd love to use one of only that was feasible.

8. Chatot
7. Plusle/Minum
6.Mienshao(Granted it's a Pokemon with a decent 258 base attack and is somewhat of a rare hatch out of an egg, and can get up to around cp 3000ish which means it could be use for great or ultra league however it wouldn't do that good to begin with, as it has incredibly low defense and a lack luster move pool.
5. Luvdisc
4. Shadow Shuckle
3. Dunsparce
2. Wormadam- It had a cp that it can be used in great league however it would be a horrible choice as it just has struggle as a charged move.
1.Smergle
Shedinja is good to transfer to Sword Shield where it can be used.
That would mean it was caught many times over
No cheats necessary. Pokémon GO Fest, Safari Zones, Unowns in Raids... and a whole lot of Pinap Berries
@@CountJinsulaOfficial I guess, you are one lucky person. I do raids daily and never had the opportunity to see one
Me using my 3-star Sudowoodo in Battle leagues... hmmm...
How is luvdisc the first shiny you’ve ever caught. You caught that in 2020. This game came out in 2016.
Combee can be useful because it gives 750 stardust per catch.
I literally have a 100% male combee and was so happy because i have only two hundos including the combee
I was in denial for so long but i think its time to admit to my self, that pokemon is completely useless
Cute af
But useless xD
It does have that cute factor 😁
I want for every pokemon one 100% maxed out. No matter how useless they are.
I was on that train until I found out about the "Assessment" feature 2 weeks ago. I maxed out crap stats pokemon. Now I feel like I need to get at least 3 star to max. I wasted so much time and stardust on crap Stat pokemon. 😒
@@justsayin3600 we've all made that mistake at some point
How about Smeargle and Ditto? Fun yes - usefull?? Not so sure :-)
Dunsparce aint useless, he can do okay in great league sometimes.
Girafarig would actually be a monster if it had good stats. Only one weakness and its dark.
Also bug.
@@neitron90 Tru. Always forget about the bug bois
Who said sudowudo is useless 😢
I use it in gbl
It really help
I maxed my shundo sudowoodo it’s a beast in ultra league mega rn
I power my shiny Dunsparce to show off in the gym.
The usefulness of combee is stardust
People think twice about attacking a gym with a shuckle
so basically dont power up anything that cant evolve
